Bayleaves Tandoori in Hounslow

Former regular custumer up until 8 month decided to try food again today tonight , food across all dishes severely lacked flavour, only plus was the poppadoms

Quantity over Quality... Usually food is good from here but not this time. My notes were totally ignored. I asked for NO Peppers and my Dupiaza came with chunks of Green/Red Peppers. I asked for Onion Bhajee NOT well done and I got Onion Concrete.

I'm sure if my order was delivered promptly when the driver left the restaurant, it wouldn't have needed re-heating. The driver seemed to take my order on a mystery tour before heading in the right direction? Re-heating Chicken Tikka ruins it.

What has happened to this place, it use to be so good How can you justify sending out a broken up popadom that was completely crushed and not even a whole popadom, don’t know why I can’t upload a photo to prove it Lamb madras had a nice flavour but was mostly sauce and barely any lamb Rice was lovely Chapati was doughy and thick and not cooked properly They use to give you a small bag of onion salad and a couple of small tubs of chutney and mint sauce but obviously don’t anymore See someone on here saying that they can’t understand the negative reviews, well maybe the negative reviews are justified given the service and food we received tonight Been using Bayleaves 20+ years but we shall be looking elsewhere for our Indian takeaway from now on

This is the only indian takeaway I will order, authentic traditional and delicious, as a northen indian I cannot fault it in anyway, all negative comments here clearly you dont have the pallete for home cooked food, all dishes are just amazing. Have eaten here over 20years cant fault it.

They did not send a free meal as it was promised on the app. I ordered more than 30 pounds but the free meal was not in the bag. Shame on you 😕!

Wow - this curry house makes me wish I didn’t live 100 miles away. We ordered the same as we would at home (Dartmouth) and it was tastier and the portions were huge. If you’re staying at the Heston service Travelodge - don’t bother with the services food - order from here - save money and get lovely food.

Food is always good here, been a customer for years. This time we tried something different with our Korma - fish - it tasted odd as the fish seemed salty. Maybe fish isn't a good option with Korma sauce, but the Korma was magnificent. Butter Chicken changes every time we order it, this time it wasn't creamy & the tandoori chicken was really dry. Usually it's better. Naan breads were great as usual. Wish they would do a cheese naan & also Mango Lassi delivered, as they don't have them available for delivery.

I ordered lamb biryani and chicken curry and both of them have the same taste. Biryani is not what i expected. It's no way near the taste of a traditional biryani. Not recommending. Chicken curry is not curry... It's just a spicy yellow sauce with chicken, i would say it taste more likely a bland masala rather than curry... Very disappointing.

Ordered a chicken korma ..omg ..absolutely the best I've ever ever had .piping hot full of chicken loads of korma sauce....definitely my no 1 Indian takeaway from now on !!! 😍

I’ve been ordering from Bayleaves Tandoori for around 10 years now and the quality of the food has always been outstanding. Everything is fresh, well seasoned and delicious. I never have to wait long for my order to arrive.

Delivery was dropped at the wrong address in the first instance. Normally I really like your curries. However, the chef I think has changed. The spinach dish and lamb balti dishes are too bland (no flavour) and far too spicier than normal. I have not enjoyed my meal this evening. Feeling disappointed as I have not been able to even finish my meal and straight into the bin. Hopefully the next meal will be of better quality than this evening.

Ordered butter chicken lovely, naan was burnt though

First time ordering. Food was mostly good but lacking in spices even though advertised as 'medium' spice. Vegetable mains were a good sized portion but the butter chicken had quite watery sauce and a few pieces of chicken. The Aloo Gobi was a bit undercooked and had hard pieces. Chana and Bhindi dishes good and authentic style. Fast delivery and the food arrived hot and steaming - excellent. Overall nice food and I would order again.

We placed an order for takeaway from Bayleavrs Tandoori with high hopes of enjoying a delicious meal. However, to our dismay, the food we received was far from satisfactory. The main issue we encountered was that everything we ordered seemed to be swimming in excessive oil, making the dishes extremely greasy and unappetizing. Furthermore, the lack of proper seasoning in the dishes was noticeable, rendering the food tasteless and unpalatable. As a result, we found it challenging to consume any of the dishes we ordered and ended up not finishing our meals.

One of the best curries I’ve ever eaten! I had a chicken madras with pilau rice and a garlic naan. Will be back again, and again, and again 👌

Order lamb madras peas pilau rice and sag aloo. Once home opened the curry and it was chicken not lamb. As I was hungry I didn't return it but wished I had. The chicken was dry tasteless over cooked. The rice was swimming in oil completely all you could taste was oil. Really disappointing been going here for the last 30years and never had a bad meal. Have they been taken over as I didn't no anyone there. I'm not got use this take away again.

Excellent food. I ordered different dishes today and was not disappointed. The vegetable balti was really good, as was the prawn puree. The delivery driver drove the wrong way so I just popped everything in the microwave once it arrived!

Not sure what’s going on at this place. Have ordered a few times in the past and the food, although expensive, was pretty good. The last order was nearly £50 and absolutely disgusting and it was the same selection as previously made. Greasy samosas, Luke warm bland tasting dopiaza, bland biriyani. The only thing that was hot was the vegetable sauce for the biriyani and it tasted of nothing. In my opinion, they have either changed hands or lost a chef. Either way it’s not good enough for a meal for 2 that cost nearly £50.

I ate Pilau rice with butter chicken curry which was mouth-wateringly delicious. It had a rich texture, was easy on the palate and service was superb. Would highly recommend.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bayleaves Tandoori From the moment I entered, the friendly staff made me feel welcomed. I ordered the chicken biryani and lamb curry for dinner, and I was blown away by the incredible flavors and aromatic spices. The portions were incredibly generous, leaving me completely satisfied. The service was quick and efficient. I highly recommend Bayleaves Tandoori to anyone in search of amazing food and exceptional service.

Very, very poor. Just Eat driver arrived and showed me the food had overturned in the bag in transit and the contents had spilled out of the cartons. He mentioned that it was the resuturant's fault becuases of packaging but there is no evidence that the package left the restaurt in the condition. I didnt accept the order and have discovered this morning that the Just Eat driver left the package on the road outside my house. I am awaiting a refund and have photos of the package when it arrived and the package on the road this morning. I have added minimum score ratings but these don't refelect that the problem was Just Eat delivery service and not the restaurant.

Really really flavourful. Wasn't bland or too watery. We got the lamb vindaloo - nice and spicy! (but not too spicy). Paneer tikka masala and a tarka daal. Bombay aloo and onion bharjees. Very nice. Defo ordering again!!

This is the worst dish I have ever tasted in my entire life. Nothing even comes close to how disgusting the dish was. The korma is supposed to be small piece of chicken and dish spicy in nature and yet I was given something that tasted and looked like mango chutney. If you have money to spend I'd suggest donating to charity rather than placing an order here

We've been regularly getting food from here for about 3 years & we always love it. They carter for hot chilli eaters as well as very mild food & it's all tasty. The mushroom rice is the best I've ever had but it's pricey compared to other restaurants, though they add delicious spices & herbs. Pasanda, Butter Chicken & all Kormas are really good with excellent portion sizes. Their Naans are lovely too but I wish they'd do a cheese one.

Bayleaves Tandoori has been our preferred restaurant for this type of food for about 3 years. Always find the food good quality, great portion size too and really great Naan breads. I wish they would do a cheese Naan, that's my only missing wish! The mushroom rice is the best I've ever had & it's a bit pricey compared to other restaurants but totally worth it, with delicious spices & herbs added. Prawn Pasanda contains lots of prawns & the sauce is equally fantastic. Butter Chicken, Chicken Korma always really great too, full of flavour & lots of tasty tandoori chicken.

Madras was flavourless and had tough chicken. Mixed grill was tiny, they forgot some dips despite me specifically asking them to double check they have packed everything. The tikka masala had a lovely flavour but it was ALL FAR TOO SALTY and we couldn’t eat more than half. Very annoyed as it was a £50 take away and they didn’t even chuck in a couple of extra poppadum. My partner wants a refund and I just just want 20 litres of water

Foods always been decent but them prices are too high, now they tried charging me £5 for a “small order” delivery even after spending £27 on the order. Lol your having a laugh, some places deliver free on orders over £10 They then started Complaining about calling and ordering too close to close time, then Close sooner if your not ready to work until the time you say you are, lazy money grabbers.

Chicken Pasanda - somewhat salty & the chicken was tough, Prawn Korma - again the prawns were really tough & chewy but the sauce was fantastic. Mushroom rice was awesome, highly recommend, so tasty & the egg rice was really good too.

I have been ordering from the curry house for over 10 years. The food is allways nice and never had any problems. most of the reviews are people complaning about delviery cost and small order fee cost. Its simply , dont order through apps. Call the restruant direct an they wil take your order. they dont charge any deliery charges if you call them. its the apps that charge this and the food is has mark ups. order direct to avoid issues.

Awful chicken biriani served with chana masala. Unbelievable combination. Should cal this dish pulao instead of biriani.

Most Horrible India food takeaway. Food I have ordered Fish , Chicken & Nan-breads all were disgusting… Avoid this place if you can.

We had a meal for 2 delivered by Uber Eats on Sat evening and both my Husband and I have had food poisoning and been ill in bed for over 24 hours now. I have never felt so ill from food before. I would avoid this restaurant at all costs. I'm absolutely disgusted.

When the delivery driver arrived, he basically had a go at us for living too far away, and told us not to order from there again and try somewhere closer... Sorry, but it's up to you to set your delivery area, not me, I don't check the exact distance of every restaurant, if its in my list it's because you've agreed to deliver to this area. As it happens, I won't be too sad not to order from here again... the bhajees were rock hard, could barely cut them, and the korma was watery with barely any flavour.

Food takes over an hour to be delivered and two of the chutney tray were off!

Tandoori chicken was so salty we couldn’t eat it. Popadoms we’re stale. We regularly order from here but the last two times it’s been sub par quality. Will try a different option next time.

The korma was bland and watery, the naan bread was like chewing on rubber and the onion bhajees was very chewyx

Not ordered here in sometime, and quite disappointed. This was previously the best curry that would deliver to this address. New owners? Food was really tasteless. the 'hot' Madras didn't taste much different to the mild Saag Aloo. It was all bland, no real taste/spice. Most of the tubs were quite watery with oil floating - when you put the curry over rice and tilt the plate, you can see big puddles of water dripping through. The naan I guess was not freshly cooked? It was in a plastic bag with tape around the top - I guess they bought them like this and microwaved to heat? In fact, the food arrived so quick, I guess they microwaved all of the dishes.We try not to waste any food, but I think over half of each container is going to be thrown away (bar maybe the plain rice) - can't face eating the rest tomorrow. Wish I had picked something up from Sainsbury's instead.
