Nice wetherspoons, food was good and a pint of shipyard was under 3 quid which is amazing in London, the staff were, friendly and the service was quick.

The Food was great and delicious. The prices here are fair aswell. Unfortunately the blonde staff member was extremely rude, accusing me of ordering the wrong thing. We also asked her nicely to clean up our table, but at the end we had to clean it up ourselves, while she walked around the restaurant pretending to work. The male server with the glasses on the other hand was very understanding and friendly, offering a Solution to our problem.

Good day everyone! I want to share an unpleasant and incompetent incident involving a bartender at this pub. Here's what happened: I approached the bar and waited in line to place my order. When it was my turn, I politely and courteously asked for some nachos and an alcoholic drink. The bartender, a short woman with red hair, replied that she wouldn't sell me alcohol because I was drunk. But I wasn't drunk. After that, I asked for the name of this rude and incompetent girl so that I could inform the manager of this pub to take preventive measures against such an employee who cannot work at the bar with such an attitude and take orders. I want to address the owner of this wonderful pub, which I frequent often, so that such individuals do not work at the bar and take orders. She doesn't know how to tell when someone is drunk and when they are not, and as a result, customers are lost, as happened to me yesterday.

Terrible Experience – Avoid This Place! I’ve never experienced such awful service in a pub before. We were a group of friends, had one pint each, and were planning to enjoy our evening. However, for some bizarre reason, the staff suddenly refused to serve us any more drinks—without any explanation! We were completely sober, well-behaved, and just trying to have a good time. The attitude of the staff was rude and unprofessional, making us feel completely unwelcome.We can’t rule out that their refusal was related to our nationality, as they clearly noticed our accent. If that’s the case, it’s absolutely unacceptable! If they treat paying customers like this, I honestly don’t understand how they stay in business. Definitely NOT recommending this place to anyone. Avoid at all costs!

Terrible service! I went to this store completely sober, yet the rude cashier refused to sell me alcohol, claiming I was “too drunk.” She was extremely disrespectful and dismissive, refusing to listen to me at all. This kind of attitude is unacceptable. If you’re looking for good customer service, avoid this place!

The best spoon in London, you won’t find a cheaper place. Surrounded by cockney accents what more could you ask for.

I was shocked to see all food are spicy. Except desserts and vegetarian dishes. I wanted to get some chicken wings, a supposedly classic pub and bar food, but there were none. Only with chilly and super spicy (🌶️ 🌶️🌶️) or chicken breast. No BBQ chicken wings, no breaded chicken wings (only those spicy hot ones). Next time I bring my own chicken wings…or just go elsewhere.

I don't expect much from a Wetherspoons but this pub delivered much less. Tables were not being cleared and service was very slow I made the mistake of using the app which meant I was given the lowest priority. Having waited 20 minutes for my drinks I went to the bar where I was told to join the queue, I managed I assume to be management asked what was wrong and I explained I had ordered 20 minutes ago and was told they were busy and short staffed. I said "That's a you problem not a me problem "and why are people ordering at the bar after me and getting served before me?" The barman then became aggressive asking who I was talking to and trying to make poor management my fault. A thoroughly unpleasant place.

I went here for breakfast today which was nice and all good don't get me wrong. But being ignored after saying thank you and have a good day to a waitress with blonde hair who just nodded instead of friendly conversation I felt like it was rude and unprofessional to ignore me, I been coming to this Wetherspoons for ages and am well known by the staff. For them to ignore me makes me uncomfortable to not come back. When I left I said to her and the other staff before walking out "Friendly Conversation don't hurt" And they looked at me like I'm a problem when the blonde girl and the rest of the female staff know exactly what they are doing. Disgraceful this generation this how people expect you to make a effort for them to make a effort for you back same with friendships. Shame in these staff members who can't take 1 minute 5 minutes to be nice in return to me. Cunts.

Great local pub As with all wetherspoons it's great value for money Can't believe they stopped selling san Miguel lager 😭and relaced it with rubbish

Quick service and very good portions, a very good trip to the pub and one of the better Wetherspoon's I've visited.

Say what you want about Spoons as a chain, but we got 2 pints for a little over £5 and I have not heard of that in London. So 5 stars for that alone

This is really nice budget place. I’ve been 3 times here, always packed. Yesterday I’ve ordered Scottish burger, but I was advised that ingredients not in stock. Defo will try next time, as it was so packet. People are friendly, place is clean, fast service and food is just right for me and some vegetarian options are available as well.

Good atmosphere before the Millwall game. The food was excellent (fish and chips) and the price was low. Ok price was also significantly lower than in central London.

They serve alchol at 9am tramps go in for cheap pint,There pub food is terrible microwaved food iceland syle frozen curry, and lasagnia check you tube if you dont beleive me. Better off buying from iceland than eating in wetherspoon eg £1.00 iceland, £6.95 wetherspoons. Drug dealers walking in and out,homless shelter , body odour, high turnover of staff this place is trash with bouncer on the door most london wetherspoons staff walk around like military police with hand held radios very intimidating atmosphere.

My first visit to any weatherspoon. The chicken wings are surprisingly good, crunchy and juicy. The pizza is decent. Staff are friendly.

I had a great time at Wetherspoons in Surrey Quays. The food was tasty, affordable, and served quickly. There’s a good selection of drinks, and the staff were friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the place was clean and well-kept. Definitely a great spot for a casual meal or drinks with friends!

Bottom line: a great chain pub. Stopped in for breakfast, so a weekday at 10:00, and it was not too crowded. Easily found a table and ordered at the bar. The bartender was friendly and efficient and the food arrived shortly. I had the full English which was plentiful and good tasting. The sausages are exactly what you would want, the eggs cooked well, the hash browns crispy, and of course the beans, mushroom, toast and ham as an accompaniment. All was very reasonably priced. My companion had the fruit and yogurt (again with a generous portion) and toast. We both had coffee which was self service (and free refill) from a machine that allowed you to choose latte, espresso, black, and a number of other preparations. All in, the total came to about £13, which I thought was very reasonable given the quality and quantity. Definitely worth a repeat visit.

The Asian guy who served us was very friendly and polite the best service in all Spoons I've been to. Generally staff who served tables are friendly and polite but the Asian dude was awesome! Went there 29/12/24 from 1pm to 9pm

I meet friends here every other month and as you'd expect with this franchise the food and beers are well priced and good. The only complaint I had was that gammon was back on the menu but they didn't have any. Funnily enough they didn't have any gammon on my next visit either so don't know why they keep it on the menu. I've been back a few times since and they've had the gammon in stock and it's been a great meal. It's worth checking if Millwall are playing at home in the evening as it can get very busy between 5pm and 7pm. The TV is usually on but without sound but exceptionally the turn the volume up like for England games. I was there when the Euros semi final was on but it wasn't packed out. They do a good range of food, I had a pizza on my last visit.

Hate this place, usually avoid, but a friend wanted to go. Line up for service, & dont get it wrong or both staff & customers get VERY upset.

Wetherspoon Surrey Quays is my local pub, and while it has its perks, there are some areas that could be improved. When it comes to customer service, it's a bit of a mixed bag. Some staff are friendly and attentive, while others seem disengaged or simply unhappy to be there, which can detract from the overall experience. The food is reliable—typical Wetherspoon fare. My go-to dish is the chicken tikka masala, which I find to be one of their best options. However, one recurring issue I've noticed is the cleanliness of the cutlery. On multiple occasions, the spoons have been dirty, and we've had to ask for replacements. What's disappointing is that staff rarely apologize for this, which feels like a lack of attention to customer care. As for the atmosphere, it’s quite nice during weekdays, providing a relaxed space to unwind. It gets busier in the evenings, especially from Thursday to Sunday, but we've never had trouble finding a table. It can get a bit loud when there are larger groups, but it's manageable if you're not looking for a quiet meal. Overall, while it’s convenient and offers decent food, the inconsistent service and occasional cleanliness issues have been a letdown at times. The atmosphere is generally good, but bear in mind it can get louder on weekends.

A nice front garden soaking up the atmosphere and watching the local community. I had nachos and a very good American pale ale for less than £10. Great prices for London where you can expect to pay a tenner for nachos and £6 per pint.

Great selection of food - many options in menu, everyone can choose something. And all this food is available till late hours (and from early morning) and mostly good (pub classic, burgers, pizza, potatoes, salads). Very reasonably priced. Beer is cheaper than in other pubs (Wetherspoons’ feature) and assortment is good. Very convenient app, so it is easy to order from table without queuing at the bar. Plenty of space and seats. Fast service. Great option to eat in quickly - like a canteen. Some dishes are really better / not worse than in more expensive places. Minuses: visitors can be very different (people coming for cheep booze), atmosphere is not very cozy (slot machines, etc.). However, great value for money

Beautiful place, great staff Careless, we waited over an hour to be served, I ate the worst pizza of my life, my wife's salad was served in a cup of cappuccino, my children's two HBs were good, very dirty bathrooms

Tell you what, folks. This place is bloody lovely. You are first greeted with a spacious outdoor smoking area with multiple benches and ash trays. This leads into the general area when my mates and I sat down for probably the best spoons food ever. We all love spoons food, but this food was BUSSIN!!! We came about midday and it was super quiet. Folks, I’d recommend the brunch: English breakfast for girls like me that can’t eat a lot. The staff were also very lovely and the toilets were in tip top shape.

Amazingly priced meals, served fast, good coffee and always plenty of places to sit either inside or outside. A regular meeting point for my work colleagues and I when we are in Canada Water.

This is probably the cheapest weatherspoons I've been to. Very good prices, has a nice terrace area and gets quite full.

Although their traditional English breakfast reminded me of my canteen / cafeteria brunch during secondary school, the meal was highly affordable with unlimited refill of coffee and tea. The pub was nicely decorated and localised with the area-specific history written on the walls!

You can expect the usual good prices, reasonably tasty food and the feeling you won't spend a fortune to enjoy a nice meal and drinks

Not bad as wetherspoons go and the cheapest pint in London, but there's just something very depressing about the place, certainly not helped by the gigantic betting machines everywhere

It's very rare I'd recommend a Weatherspoons. We all know what the King gammon said around brexit time but this place is probably the best of the lot. The food and drink are decent and obviously very cheap. Sure it's got your typical roughness as it's a Spoons and a few too many slot machines but other than that it's a regular for a cheap drink to catch up with friends after work.

I really like Wetherspoons for the reliability. You know you will always get a cozy atmosphere with quick and efficient service by the staff. You also always know what quality the food you're getting will have. But I decided to try some food I hadn't had before. A double American burger. I tell you it was dead on so many levels. It's like they unwrapped a boring McDonald's burger and put it on a plate. The chips weren't really that exciting either. I wouldn't eat that again EVER! The drinks were lovely though. Regarding the atmosphere, I really liked it.

Very Cheap for London, other than that it's typical weather spoons. One of the people serving us was a bit grumpy but I'd be the same if I were working on a Saturday morning . Got a the breakfast deal it was decent for the price!

Black Lady behind the bar is rude, she made a cocktail items missing meant to have fresh strawberries in the drink, the presentation of the cocktail with rubbish I can do better than that.

Guinness for a reasonable price, classic pub carpet, what's not to like? Great little watering hole, get yourself down there for a libation.

Absolutely incredible, a charming place

Pub went downhill rapidly after last summer. Had a live catapillar on my pizza once and never ordered food again. Expect drunken mums being served whilst their children scream the pub down. Rude security at the weekend and the chubby woman who says she runs the place was really abusive when I told an inexperienced bar person that off premises licence is needed to put unopened cans over the bar. I definitely won't bother to visit the Surrey Docks again now the Printworks has closed. Probably best not to order a Guinness unless you want two or more inches of head instead of pint as my Dad gets upset when served head instead of Guinness and the staff don't care about the presentation of your drinks they would rather treat you as a problem than provide customer service. Unfortunately there are not many local independent pubs in Surrey Docks anymore so unless you specifically want cheap booze with a bad atmosphere you are better off going somewhere else if you want to take a partner out. Artwork is pretty poor compared to the Watch Tower in Lewisham and the Surrey Docks is a lot dirtier carpet and table wise compared to the Watch Tower. The only thing going for this place really is the cheap booze all the atmosphere probably left because the place is untidy with bad management. If you are prepared to get on a the closest decent Battle Cruiser is The Duke on Creek Road via 188 or 199 bit more of a walk on a 47.

Very BAD experience with the workers in this pub, including MANAGER, bartenders & SECURITY. Extremely rude and unbothered to give a good customer service experience. In my opinion, if you don’t like being nice and friendly, DO NOT WORK in these type of jobs. I love wetherspoons, and I am upset this is the type of workers there is in my local one. The attitude and energy they put onto the people is honestly disgusting and disappointed. The amount of people saying the same thing is ridiculous.
