Costa Coffee in Southwark

The man at the till today 16th may 2025 he was so rude to me just because I put small tissue on the toilet floor he made me pick it up i had a very bad experience and that worker needs to be fired

The team here are so lovely and always very friendly. I come in and they remember my order and make it without hesitation. Especially Selva who is very welcoming and gets my drink order right everytime. Would definitely recommend this Costa.

I visited the store while i was in the middle of a zoom, I wanted a spoon for my yoghurt and asked the staff to assit and she proceeded to tell me if I was buying anything to receive the spoon - this was a shock to me. As I was in the meeting I wanted to sit down and finish off and have a think of what I would fancy and what work load I would have after the meeting. The server instead wanted to argue with me and refused to give her name - she was super rude and aggressive. In the end she opted to call security and they told her she can’t refuse her name - she gave the name Munda however I feel like she was lying. The whole ordeal was quite embarrassing and I was shocked to receive this type of customer service from costa

Rude condescending staff that keep over charging me .

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. They didn't even remember what I ordered as I ordered it. Felt like they were abit absent minded and then asking silly questions about my order when I just stated what I wanted which showed PIRUNTHA wasn't NOT listening. Then her colleague also made the order wrong. This is the worst Costa! Better off going to others and Piruntha was rude speaking over me. She does not have good customer service skills and can be abit sarcastic. She also made me feel cheap because I wanted a small cup size of tea. This is not professional and I will be contacting head office. You will cause Costa to lose valuable customers with your attitude towards them. Other coffee stores whatever you order even if it's cheap they just add it on the till and don't try to have you buy a larger cup. I am a student and this was very unethical! Try starbucks and other Costa shops they're definetly more friendly and professional including not sarcastic. They don't shame you in other shops because you want a smaller cup. Never coming back here again and telling all my coffee lover friends including fellow students. That's atleast a lost of 20 customers! All the best, they may close this shop down if she continues with that attitude.

Whenever I have visited this particular branch of Costa I have always received lovely customer service. Occasionally I have had to remind the barista of my order, but they have always rectified it with grace and without any delay. Tables are usually clean and there are plenty of seats.

Not bad but there were coffees that we wanted was not available which can happen nothing runs smooth but then you think there is not a lot of choices in the menu it's not like you running a large coffeehouse so you should have everything in the menu..

I ordered a S size capuccino, but they prepared to me a M size one. When I have noticed to the barman he responded " no, you have ordered a M size capuccino 😐". I responded with resignation" ok, don't worry...".

The customer service is some of the worst I’ve witnessed in London. After being served a medium coffee when i asked for a small I kindly said to the employee that I had asked for a small, he then said “no you didn’t you asked for a medium” also forgot my croissant which I had to ask for and he didn’t bother to heat it up as they normally do.

This branch is amazing the staff are really friendly and polite.

I’ve been to many Costa but this place is so far the best I’ve found. The Barista’s were expectional and amazing team work. Overall atmosphere and hygiene is great.

Everything is perfect except the toilet. The toilet looks clean but it smells awful and disgusting.

I was in the Costa coffee shop at West Middlesex hospital a couple of weeks ago. Enjoying my favourite sausage in a bun. The café very conveniently had a toilet. So I was able to spend a penny. The whole place was very clean and hospitable which I think keeps the customer satisfied. Thanks to the friendly helpful staff.

Great little cafe, the coffee is delicious and in very large mugs! The buns and croissants are perfect for breakfast!

Security here targets and harasses women. Terrible experience here for professionals looking to get work done.

There are too many people, with clear mental health issues, sitting in, without buying anything. Definitely takes away from the chill and makes the experience unsettling.

The staff are so pleasant here which makes for a better overall experience. We came in close to closing trying to get something to eat and they were polite to us and the rest I the stragglers.

Nothing beats their caffe frape. The only frozen coffee in town that is actually a coffee, not an ice cream. Also it is such a pleasure to talk to the staff. Absolutely lovely people, they make my day.

Why is coffee soo expensive now... You need to take out a mortgage to enjoy one now.. Shame on the retailers.

It's always a pleasure to visit Costa coffee Peckham rye. Staff their are always supper friendly. Delicious cup of coffee. Very well managed and organised store.

I just want to give my compliments to amazing barista Arjun and kind till lady Kiruthika, who really helped me out! I came in running in a really bad need to use the toilet, and they were so kind and allowed me to quickly go in! Was in a rush to get to the appointment I had scheduled, but I returned later and ordered vegan ham&cheese toastie and decided to leave this positive feedback for team members here. Also, toastie was delicious, but mostly I appreciate the team members who helped me out earlier and didn't stop me from using the restroom, demanding that I have to order something. High 5 for this Costa branch and lovely Arjun and Kiruthika! They deserve the raise and all the praise! Thank you for making my day!

Nice Costa Coffee. Has its regular customers and friendly staff, though it can get quite busy if you time it badly. Remember to get your Costa App stamps for a free coffee every 9th time. If you use a reusable cup you'll get 2 stamps instead of 1.

Dirty. Took half an hour to get a coffee. Staff clearly do not know what they are doing and no management around,

A Flat White and a heated up sandwich cost £7.50!!! The coffee wasn't even piping hot because they pour hot liquid into a stone cold porcelain cup. A schoolboy error!

Yesterday, as usual when I go to Camberwell to do some shopping, I went to have a coffee at Costa with a friend. What happened there was simply a disgusting service provided by the staff. The woman that served us was very rude and unprofessional with such a bad attitude towards clients specifically an elderly and disable lady. When approached with a complaint the woman just said she didn't care with my opinion on Google review and continued with an arrogant attitude that by the way was the same attitude shared by a security guard that worked there and other waiter, her colleague. I am not happy with the lack of respect and consideration towards an elderly person and off course towards me. So don't bother to go there because the coffee may be good but the service it is really unhuman!!!!!!!

Missing the interstellar vibrações of the neighbouring Peckham branch - probably because we were bringing the vibe down chatting Harry Potter trivia and clustering algorithms. If the Peckham incarnation is the attention-seeking try-hard of the family (like me!!!), this is its more subdued relaxed cousin. Lovely place to sink into the customary costa cappuccino bowls and chitter chatter.

Good coffee but the manager stood texting on his phone the while time while a young girl was working extremely hard making the drinks and working the till. The manager should be sacked. The girl deserves a raise and his Job!

One member of staff seems to have selective memory. They told me I couldn't use the toilet unless I bought something as it was "for customers only". Half an hour prior to this, that same member of staff heated up my Mac 'n' Cheese and overpoured the oat milk into my latte to the point of overflowing. I'd sat in the store for half an hour with my coffee and food and they'd forgotten they had even served me. I was lucky their colleague recognised me and let me in because I was getting quite desperate at this point but I received no apology for their assumption about my not having been a customer.

My favourite Costa, I’m a regular and they always treat me well. They know my order without me saying ☺️

I was here from around 1330 on Friday 26th November and I was amazed by the guard's politeness. The fact that he cleared the table after each customer simply made him stand out. Being a retail manager myself, it is rare to find guards whose mindset mirrors that of the store staff. Well done man

Very slow service incompetent staff

Went in for a coffee and muffin, sat at a table looked at it and moved, as the table was so dirty you could have scraped it off with a scraper it was so thick... Looked around and could honestly say that nearly all the tables were like that, after drinking and eating I needed the toilet and asked for the door to be opened, the young lady came out and said "you will be ordering something won't you" had to put her straight and tell her I've been siting drinking coffee and eating there for the last 45 minutes... Won't be going back.

I am a loyal customer, but today's treatment was awful. I have a medical condition as diabetic. I was refused to use the toilet because I needed to buy something first they told me. I explained I was in desperate situation but they kept argue with me and they made beg for toilet. I spoke to assistant barista and Jarek the lovely manager. I told him I have just used Nandos nearby with no isses. Truly they have embarrassed me and they made feel fool because of a condition I have. I would appreciate if they could treat customers in a Humane Way next time. Thank you

Waitress stops you if you want to use the toilet before ordering, so I ordered it first, then I used the toilet and then I collected my coffee, thanks

Quick service and most importantly coffee was hot

Costa generally do what they do very well. Dropped in to the Thornton Heath branch for a coffee and panini before a football game at nearby Crystal Palace. Only two staff on duty, they could certainly have done with more, but covid times sometimes leads to several absences at short notice. If that's the case then fair play to the two who kept things going with good grace as the queue got longer. Feels churlish to mention then that the young woman serving was animatedly chewing on gum while serving.

A terrible place with horrible staff. I urgently needed to use the toilet as I have a medical condition that means I am in severe pain if i need to urinate. I looked at the queue as i walked in and decided I didn't ahve time to join a three person queue. A nasty staff member stopped me using the toilets and said I needed to join the queue to buy somehthing first, and when I explained the above to her, and that I would buy something afterwards, she turned around and said it can't be an emergency because you've been able to stand here talking to me. What kind of vile person says to someone that they haven't got a condition or have an urgent need to urinate because they have failed to wet themselves. An absolutely horrible experience. I will never frequent a costa again. A disgrace.

Friendly staff, generous portions and a relaxed atmosphere. They have made adjustments to ensure the protection of staff and visitors due to COVID-19. Also no music blaring out to compete with our conversation 😁🙄🙄

It's a cute little branch for Costa, but i do think it can get a bit stuffy at time. Not in terms of the actual 'air' in the cafe, but it feels a bit tight... like they have too much furniture. That being said, the staff are always lovely and the coffee is good, so i can;t complain with that at ALL!!! :)

Maybe is the cheapest café in London but it's not good. If you can go to Pret A Manager or Nero I think those are better. It's just good if you want to take a sit and chat with someone or stay there with your computer.
