We went to the sun inn for a dinner and a few drinks and we were served by this lovely waitress called Lucy who surprisingly had only been working there for a few shifts! I say surprisingly as she was extremely smiley and communicated with great ease and checked up on our table politely and regularly! My boyfriend and I even stayed for another drink despite the rest of the family leaving! Thank you Lucy for having such a welcoming presence! We will be visiting again soon I’m sure!

My favourite pub to stop for a pint or three in the village. At the end of the bike ride with my mates (plenty of room in the garden for bikes), for a catch up with mates ( always someone there to talk to), a game of darts or pool, or simply to sit and read the paper. Great bar staff as well who always make my dog very welcome. I don't tend to eat there but many do and they always seem happy !!

Visited for lunch, pub in need of a good freshen up, staff seemed more occupied on her phone at the bar. Also another member of staff walking around with a face like thunder, I suspect it’s a family run pub with the daughters not keen on being there. Food was ok with large portions but it’s basic pre cooked food heated up in the microwave. The line of microwaves that can be seen in the kitchen from the bar area kind of confirmed this, could be a lovely pub but won’t be visiting again

A straight forward local with good value food. £6.95 for two jumbo sausages, two eggs, chips and beans is pretty remarkable these days. Tasty and hot. Ham, two eggs, chips and peas at £7.45 also good and great value. A nice pint of Doombar, in a relaxed atmosphere. Ideal for a cheap tasty no frills lunch.

Odd atmosphere as soon as you open the door, bar staff not friendly or welcoming. Seemed surprised when we ordered 2 for sunday lunch....we should of taken that hint really. The sunday roast (lamb) consisted of some clearly microwaved roast potatoes from, possibly, yesterday.....some very poor quality meat, mostly gristle, not a from a 'cut' of meat, more likely a catering pack of reformed, pre-sliced meat.....and a mountain of boiled veg to make it look like the plate was full. All topped with an aunt bessey's frozen yorkshire pudding. All this for £9.95 and they even charged us another £3 each for a pint of lemonade! No 'restaurant service' per se, no-one came to check how everything was, which was probably for the best as I'm usually very honest about food....The only plus point was the food arrived very quickly. Probably as Chef Mike works overtime. Avoid and don't tell Gordon Ramsey cos this is exactly the kind of place he likes to make TV shows about.

Nothing fancy and nothing out of the ordinary, just solid rib sticking home made food.Mainly locals trade as the other pubs in Windlesham (there are four more) are trying to go up market. No matter as the food was very good. Chilli Con Carne (£8.50) was piping hot, massive and very tasty being served with a good sized salad. My favourite beer Timmy Taylor (£4.00) was as ever spot on and perfect with the Chilli. Separate restaurant area and a big bar seeming to cater only for local trade. The shops are just around the corner.Good basic pub with welcoming home cooked limited menu that they do well.

Whenever we visit our son we treat ourselves to a meal from Amish. Having eaten there when it was a sit down restaurant we continued to have take away food and have not have been disappointed. We had Chicken Passanda, Lamb Sag and Lemon rice. The portions were generous with plenty of meat. Looking forward to our next meal!

I should have realised when I saw dirty marks on the front entrance. It is a basic pub. Only 2 people there when we arrived just after 12.30. The table was grimy. And wet. We waited for the rest of the family to arrive. The menus are greasy and dirty. But we had all travelled some way, and don't know the area, so we stayed. The starters were OK. Avoid the fish pie. It consisted of a very thick layer of potato, and a layer of fish, but no sauce around the fish, so it was very dry. We did mention this at the time, but no apology and no reduction in the bill. We won't be going back.

I've had the new iced whipped late twice now in two days and both times hasn't been great. They don't seem to do it the same as other places and this time they used caramel syrup instead of caramel sauce which is totally different and not the point of the drink.
