We came for a spa package, overall happy with our stay. The hotel and grounds are beautiful (esp as it was decorated for Christmas!) and all the staff we encountered from the reception to the restaurant to the spa were all really friendly and welcoming which was lovely. Spa - it was a really nice vibe, generally clean, changing rooms could have been cleaner. We had 25 minute massages booked, didn't get the full 25 mins (<20) but nonetheless the massages were pretty good and the whole experience was nice. Rooms have everything you need, comfy beds, only complaint was we had noisy neighbours next door who woke up early and bashed around a lot... better soundproofing or ear plugs would help!

Portrays itself as an "old english" gem but it is really a bit run down. Certainly mot modern. Like a Warren in and out. Blue badge parking very awkward and the only 2 spaces filled by a camper van who probably has had no other choice. Rooms prob very nice but reminds me of faulty towers. everything door wise squeaks. The old school disinfectant smell. Prob the old major at the various every night for a drink before dinner, etc.

We would like to thank Mrs. Bożena for her very positive attitude, fantastic service and kindness. It's very nice to start the day with such a nice reception. Very comfortable beds! The spa was disappointing, no jacuzzi, small steam room and a very small sauna. We didn't get bathrobes, so it was a bit awkward to undress in the massage room until we were almost naked - despite the ladies waiting outside the room. The massage performed by lady from Asia was high-quality and relaxing. Mine was done by a woman from England and unfortunately the facial was very "poor" compared to the first lady's technique. Other than that we had very nice weekend at this hotel.

I was really impressed with my spa treatment today. I had a full body massage by Ti, she's extremely experienced and managed to get all the tension and knots out. Thanks Ti

Pros: Beautiful grounds with lovely old trees. Some friendly, helpful staff. Lovely antique interiors. Pleasant classic hotel buffet breakfast. Lovely pool at spa. Cons: Some of the room decor is dated and could do with updating - eg. Bathrooms. Signs of general wear and tear around the hotel. Carpets in dire need of a deep clean in both the hotel and spa areas. Spa facilities quite disappointing - steam room wasn't functioning properly, sauna very small, changing rooms dated and showers need a thorough clean as full of limescale. Pool was super crowded even at 6am with non-hotel guests who have gym memberships with the hotel. The biggest issue was our spa treatments. We tried to call a dozen times and email the day before we checked in as we needed to change our appointment time. No one answered the phones or responded to our emails. When we checked in we eventually managed to rebook the missed appointments for the following day. We arrived 6 minutes late for these appointments and were then made to sit in a waiting area for 10 minutes before being shown to our treatment rooms. Our treatments were meant to last 25 minutes, and mine lasted exactly 12 minutes. The staff were entirely unapologetic and tried to lay the blame on us for being 6 minutes late to start. Overall a nice old characterful hotel, great for one night and for those who aren't there especially for the spa. Definitely wouldn't recommend the spa as a standalone experience.

My friend and I visited on a Saturday as a Mother's day gift from our husbands and children. We had a spa day which included a 55 minute treatment and afternoon tea. The spa is very small with simply a pool, sauna and steam room. There are approximately 8 sun loungers around the pool and then just rattan chairs. The changing rooms are very small and not suitable in size for the number of people using the facilities. The staff, namely Lisa and James were fantastic. Very friendly and accommodating, they even let us use their office to express as both my friend and I are breastfeeding. They also kindly offered to store our milk in their fridge. Thank you to them :-) the treatments were lovely too. The restaurant staff however let the whole experience down. The female front of house was abrupt and rude when we arrived slightly early to our reservation. Our afternoon tea was served before any order had been taken for our teas. We were then delivered two glasses of prosecco which we hadn't ordered but thought it may have been a surprise from one of our husbands or included in our package. We left and were chased across the car park by the same female front of house demanding we pay foe the prosecco that we didn't order!? It was apparent that it was their mistake, however, we were made to feel like we had just shoplifted! This ruined our experience. The afternoon tea itself was fine, the scones and cakes were much better quality than the sandwiches. They were small, dry, and lacked filling. I would return for the staff at the spa and the actual treatment however the facilities are lacking generally as were the manners of the particular member of restaurant staff.

My partner and I stayed at the hotel for two nights to have some relaxation and spa time. Sadly, we were quite underwhelmed but luckily made the most of it. The location was lovely, the building is beautiful but it’s lacking in all other aspects. Describes the spa as “luxury” - it’s definitely not luxury. It’s very small, not well kept and what you’d expect at a small local gym. I wouldn’t recommend this for a spa getaway. The food and drink was very overpriced (we’re from London, so used to overpaying) but this was not worth it. They only had two cocktails from the menu available and no olives during our stay. We made the decision to eat elsewhere when we tried the bar food, which judging by reviews of the restaurant was a good decision. The room was basic but fine, had everything we needed and the bed was super comfy. If this was a cheap place, I’d say it was okay but it’s really not value for money.

Had a very disappointing stay for a mini spa break with afternoon tea. The sandwiches were hard and had such little filling in them. The scones were nice but 1 tiny pot of cream and jam wasn’t nearly enough. Cakes were okay. The “spa” was littered with towels and cups- these weren’t removed at all during the afternoon. The steam room and sauna were fine but very small- you would feel uncomfortable with more than 4 people in them. Only 1 room to relax in which is on a different floor and next to a gym or dance studio so you could hear the music pumping next door. The 25 minute treatment barely lasted 20 mins at a push and felt very rushed- I was also cold as was just covered with 2, very thin very old towels. The evening meal was Luke warm and very small potions. My husbands fries were so hard they were inedible. The room was okay- the bed was not as it dipped in the middle. The bathroom sink also had a massive crack in it. Breakfast again was warm and had been there a good while, the eggs were like rubber. On check out I told the receptionist that I was disappointed with the stay- she just passed me the managers business card. I emailed the manager (twice) no response nearly 2 weeks later. Our stay wasn’t cheap and it definitely wasn’t value for money. The worst is not getting any sort of response from management.

Wedding at Frimley Hall Hotel on 16 March 2024 My wife and I could not rate this amazing hotel any higher. We loved the usage of a whole wing of the hotel set up to suit us and our guests. The interior and exterior are gorgeous and for a fantastic backdrop to our photos. The staff on the day were fantastic, extremely friendly and attentive which made us and our guests feel welcome. The food and drink provided was excellent. A special mention goes to Sian who was amazing throughout the whole planning process. She responded to our many questions and queries quickly with answers and also ideas on how to make our vision for the big day work. She put us both at ease on the day before the wedding when we began the set up, and beforehand when the set up was complete. We especially liked how she made sure my wife was ok during the getting ready period before the ceremony which calmed her nerves. The bridal suite is stunning and is an amazing space. It is was a extremely special stay with the added bonus of plenty of room for my wife and the rest of the bridal party to get ready. The wedding guests who stayed at Frimley were also very pleased with their rooms and the excellent breakfast the next day.

A lovely hotel in a nice location. You feel like you are out in the countryside. Really good food and friendly staff. The only slight criticism is I couldn't find the prices on the menu initially until after I had the receipt the first night and got a shock when the bill said £75 of extras. I was on a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast break, so didn't expect such a large figure for extras. I eventually found the prices are on the menu, but they just had a number after a / but no £ sign. Eg, Lamb / 24. Anyone looking at that thinks "What is that number"? Is it a price or some other serial number? A bit misleading. Therefore one polite tip I would give the hotel staff is add the £ sign to the figures on the menu.

Myself and a friend just stayed at this hotel. We went with the bed, breakfast, spa and dinner package. Before going I was quite apprehensive due to some of the mixed reviews I had seen but we weren’t let down by any part of our experience. Yes the spa facilities are quite small but we went on a Sunday night and we had no problem gaining access to anything. Our room was a good size and the room had everything you would need. The beds were so comfortable and the room itself smelt so clean and the black out curtains made for an excellent nights sleep. The drinks are on the expensive side but that’s to be expected. The bartender, very sadly can’t remember his name, was amazing! Really friendly and so bubbly. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was really good, again much better than we had expected. I had steak that was cooked to absolute perfection. We also had breakfast in the morning which again was of amazing quality. One of the best buffet breakfasts I have had in a hotel in a long time, food all seemed very freshly cooked. Our package included a massage in the morning which again was above expectations. The ladies really know what they’re doing, it was so relaxing but also helped massively with some issues I have with my back. This was a very overdue weekend away for us and we are so grateful that everything was so good.

Upgraded to a suite for the duration of our stay.. on arrival myself and my partner were very disappointed with the misleading photos on the websites of the suite, we requested to be moved to another suite where the Manager was very kind and helpful. The room we upgraded to was much nicer and couldn’t understand how the original room (201) was worth the same status as room 302! The restaurant is in dire need of an update and most, if not all, of the chairs had rips in the fabric with stuffing coming out of them. The menu was very limited and over priced. I emailed the hotel and spa asking for confirmation of the massage prices as we had a £75 gift card and was charged £194 afterwards. My partner had a 55 minute freestyle men’s massage which is listed as £89 and I had the macdonalds signature treatment £139. Therefore, this should have come to £228 and with the £75 gift card remaining payment should have been £153. My partners masseuse was ill and continuously sniffled throughout his massage which was not relaxing. Just a very disappointing stay and treatment. Not worth the money! Will not be recommending this hotel chain to anyone. Poor customer service as my query has not been replied to. Emails were sent on the 1st and 2nd of March. No response still 12/03/24.

We booked a spa session with tea, for the afternoon. Spa facilities are nice but on a smaller scale, which I did not realize from the website photos. There's a steam sauna, a Swedish hot sauna and a swimming pool. It does look like they are better prepared in regards to massage services. The tea service did let them down. We had to wait for 20 or more minutes for someone to appear to acknowledge our arrival. Ten minutes later, when they bought the tea for two, we asked for a lactose free tea option for one menu and it was not prepared! They did apologise, and admitted it was documented in the booking form and confirmed on arrival at the spa but that was another delay added, so our tea lasted longer than expected. I do appreciate that the tea, cake and scones selection was amazing. Thank you!

My mother and I chose to stay here overnight due to an appointment locally the following day. Beautiful building and our rooms were perfect for us, generous in size (Mum had an accessible room) with good sized bathrooms. Good room amenities, little fridge an unexpected bonus. Beds amazingly comfortable!! Staff are fab, and super helpful, reception staff professional and efficient, and the girl behind the bar was charming and knowledgeable. We were room only basis so can't comment on food offerings. I also had 2 dogs in tow, supplement of £15 each, which seems to be the norm nowadays. Just to mention to those travelling with dogs, please know you'll also be asked for a £100 deposit on check in, (refundable, in case of incident) and my understanding was they are not allowed in any of the public areas. Absolutely no issue with their policy, but it's not immediately obvious on booking. Looking forward to returning in May and thank you for a relaxing stay.

On arrival our two rooms had been given to other guests, so had to prove again that we had booked two room. Then given two other rooms on floor 2!! I have spinal problems so it was extremely difficult as no life. Rooms where no better than a travel lodge. When we went to the bar in the evening they don’t accept cash, which is legal tender!! When entering the spar only three dressing gowns were supplied, which I’d like to add is very small. The building itself was beautiful.

Booked a 2 night spa break for my girlfriend and the experience was more than disappointing. The restaurant is in dire need of an update and most, if not all, of the chairs had rips in the fabric with stuffing coming out of them. During our afternoon tea food was still on the floor from the breakfast service and the bread in our sandwiches was stale. The restaurant was a mess - with tables not being cleared so when people arrive they’re sitting amongst other peoples leftovers which is pretty grim! That evening our dinner was delicious, however, cleanliness is clearly an issue at this hotel as we sat down to a dirty table. The same thing happened at breakfast the following morning. Our table wasn’t ready and when we did sit down my girlfriends placemat had food on it and there was crumbs from the previous people. In the lounge area there were cobwebs in the corner of the room, which were there for the entire stay. During breakfast and in the bar area customers brazenly used their vapes with no comment made by the staff present. This isn’t something you want when you’re eating inside. To top off the weekend a HUGE wedding was taking place at the hotel and no one notified us upon booking or upon arrival, I would expect this as a common courtesy when it’s clearly going to impact our stay. With all of this said, We requested to move rooms and the staff were very helpful with this, equally we both have had back massages which were very good. However, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all and wouldn’t go back. I spent a huge amount of money on the package and it wasn’t remotely worth it. The hotel needs needs updating and far more care taken with cleaning. Looking on other reviews it is clear the manager just copies and pastes his responses which demonstrates no real level of customer service.

This is not 4 star!! Visited this place with a friend for a girlie weekend away and first impression was that it was great but unfortunately our views did not stay this way. We were slightly earlier than our check in time so made our way to the spa. The spa manager was very welcoming however, we were extremely under whelmed with the spa, the stained/ tired robes provided and the length of the treatment in our package. We were handed robes and slippers to use during our stay. The robe was stained and very tired looking and all were of similar appearance. The slippers were new but beware when walking around the spa as these can be slippy due to the lack of drainage which has resulted in very wet flooring. The spa is very small with limited facilities. The environment of the spa was also not very clean. In the spa area there is complimentary water but these were all empty on arrival and the previous customers had left their empty cups around. Due to the small size of the spa there is limited seating which means you are not guaranteed a seat let alone a lounger. At 4pm children also are able to access the spa so I wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful break. Our treatments were booked for 5pm which were meant to be 25 minute in duration but this includes your consultation, getting undressed, the treatment, and then getting dressed again, so I would say that the actual treatment time is around 15 minutes which is disappointing. The rooms are very small and basic and to make things worse I was unable to sleep due to the room being too hot. Breakfast was also disappointing with the hot food being limited and barely warm. We left hungry and going else where to eat. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend due to the high price and low standard of offering.

I've had the new iced whipped late twice now in two days and both times hasn't been great. They don't seem to do it the same as other places and this time they used caramel syrup instead of caramel sauce which is totally different and not the point of the drink.

I should have realised when I saw dirty marks on the front entrance. It is a basic pub. Only 2 people there when we arrived just after 12.30. The table was grimy. And wet. We waited for the rest of the family to arrive. The menus are greasy and dirty. But we had all travelled some way, and don't know the area, so we stayed. The starters were OK. Avoid the fish pie. It consisted of a very thick layer of potato, and a layer of fish, but no sauce around the fish, so it was very dry. We did mention this at the time, but no apology and no reduction in the bill. We won't be going back.
