Had lunch here today with neighbours.Cottage pie....large portions,obviously home made,excellent meal.5 stars minimum.I will definitely return

I don't think this place likes having black people in there! I've been there twice, yes I'm black, and both times it was late but the pub was still full and busy but told us they were closing now

We came for an early bite of food after work, as always had gorgeous food and service- absolutely blown away that they had drag bingo which was so so much fun! I love this place - the food is the only proper truly home cooked food you will get on luton - try it! I’m sure u will love it! 😊

We have been using the Sugarloaf for a few months now and it is always an enjoyable experience the staff are really friendly and helpful and the food is great. We recently had a Christmas dinner for 16. We had excellent experience, this is after having roast dinners for the past couple of months. We cannot fault the staff or food. We would recommend them to anyone. Many thanks. Malcolm and the residents of des fuller house.

Found this place last Friday while working in Luton. The beer was amazing. The food was something else . Best pub food I’ve ever had. The staff and locals are so friendly. You must visit. And eat

Top quality food!!!! Steak pie is the best I’ve ever had. Roast dinners are spot on too. Very well priced and the bar staff top notch.

Friendly service and welcoming.

The service was good, the meal was good but _ when having a meal at a pub/restaurant you would expect a great deal more respect for the diners, from other customers in the bar, and for the little children in the dinning area too. The language being used by people drinking in the bar was deplorable, resembling that of delinquent teenagers. Spoilt our meal completely, we couldn't wait to get out. Some stupid people drink there.

After many months finally managed to get hubby to join me for ham egg and chips with side order of mushrooms - thoroughly enjoyed the lot- is coming back to try the chicken curry 😀

Popped in just to kill some time and really loved the place. Proper old and well kept boozer in every respect. Smashing, friendly and smiling lass behind the bar. Good mix of locals and punters. Did not have time to have food which is a shame looking at other reviews but will endeavour to return. Only annoying thing is that I don't live closer!

It's amaze balls .it's like being in Camden .lots of nice happy go lucky people good tunes ,great pool table that comes with loud banter ,very funny 🤣 .would definitely go again .oh an best of all good real ale's citra was on very happy

I hadn't been to super loaf..however for a treat my sister and I and 2 friends had a meal for my meal i had pork chop and veg and a baked potato.. it was full of flavour it was followed by apple crumble with custard..all was so scrumpy and at a good price .. I would surely recommend the sugar loaf for food and next im going for Sunday lunch .. I can't wait..

Delicious homecooked ready dinner. Cosy pub garden (despite a few wasps). Friendly helpful staff and nice atmosphere. Cant get better anywhere else.. Nice puddings and lunch menu during the week...xx

Very much a locals pub but worth a visit if your near.

good portions, friendly staff and when you get a 2for so many quid offer they don't strangle your portion size if anything i have never finished a meal due to great portion size

Met up for big gathering of friends yesterday had roast lamb and it was amazing! Lovely fresh vegetables, gravy and the best roast potatoes in the world!! The Duggan family who run the pub are so hospitable and incredible hosts, proper family affair Thank you for a lovely afternoon

Met with (three generations) family here for lunch at this traditional pub. All enjoyed unpretentious Pub Grub with the added bonus of genuine hand cut chips. Generous portions of lovingly prepared food cooked by Pauline. Two pub gardens - one at the front and one at the back which is secure with swings for the kids.

A very nice old pub been here in new town street Luton for many years. They have some great tasting food in here and special entertainment nights. The pub looks very nice like a pub should be, cosy and warm place.

We went as a family to see a great live band called the Back Axels from the Emerald isle. A really warm and comfortable pub with friendly bar staff and an easy listening sound system. Well worth a visit especially to music lovers

Love the atmosphere here. I appreciate some people might find the locals a bit intimidating but they soon warm to you if you're friendly enough.

I came here for a reception for a friend's wedding, and was pleasantly surprised at how good this place is. The staff are great, the DJ was brilliant and in the end was taking requests from us to mix so e old tunes together, and the drinks were very reasonable. The food served was great and very fresh too.
