The Stone Jetty Cafe in Lancaster

Had a lovely lunch here. Both of us had toasties which were delicious with a nice pot of tea each. Staff were friendly and the place was nice and clean and reasonably priced.

Lovely cafe good position on the Stone Jetty. Seating inside and outside. Very happy helpful staff. We had two veggie sausage sandwiches one on a lovely soft white roll with a perfect fried egg the other on tasty brown bread. Accompanied by nice chips. Now our go to Cafe when visiting Morecambe.

We go to this cafe (or its sister cafe, Eric's cafe) most weeks for our breafast. For us it's perfect, we love it! Hence why we come back every week. It's just a good old cafe in a great surrounding at the end of the jetty. We especially love it in winter. Very friendly staff also.

Lovely meal and very quick service! Food was hot and nice quality at a good price point with a lovely view if sat outside! Would recommend!

We ordered two ice creams. You pay before they scoop the ice cream out! We paid £5.80 for two ice creams! What a waste of money. If I had seen the portion size, I would have walked away, but you prepay for them! We barely got a full scoop! The last time we purchased ice creams, the lad gave me a plastic fork to eat it with, as he had run our of wooden spoons! Wished we had gone for the doggy ice cream, which was a bigger portion and cheaper!! Next time we will nip into Aldi and buy a box of ice creams for £2 for six cornettos!

I visited here one Sunday with a friend. We arrived and found a table. Service was a bit basic and no real welcome or proper customer service. I ordered 2 sausage and egg sandwiches at £5 each! For this I was expecting proper butchers sausages. Instead once they arrived it was pretty poor with catering or canned sausages. Hardly acceptable for the price. All rather disappointing!

I love Morecambe, fantastic promenade to stroll along, plenty for kids to enjoy and wide enough for cyclist, walkers and those on mobility scooters etc to enjoy without problems. This cafe is located on the jetty with a lighthouse, brilliant location. Plenty of inside seating but brilliant on a sunny day sitting outside and enjoying Morecambe Bay!. The coffee was proper quality coffee, we sat outside and enjoyed the world passing by!!. There were plenty of other customers enjoying the food, certainly a popular place. The location on the stone jetty with the lighthouse is perfect for enjoying some sea air or out for a walk taking in the fantastic views of Morecambe Bay. When the tide is in you get plenty of fisherman at the end of the jetty and its great for kids on bikes etc. The cafe was very friendly, will 100% return on our next visit and enjoy a snack.

We had a sandwich and hot drink for lunch here. Both were very good value for money and very tasty. It was a freezing cold day and they had the heating on which made it a lovely place to stop!

The staff were kind and friendly. We ordered a rocky road and some few drinks and they were really good. The toliets were kept in good condition and the cafe was in a good spot with nice scenery we would definately come again we really like the Stone Jetty Cafe!

We visited on a very windy day in Morecambe, and made most welcome by the young ladies serving. We had hot chocolate, coffee and 2 toasted teacakes £9.60. Very quick service. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

The location of the cafe is great, fantastic views across Morecombe Bay and the Lake District unfortunately it’s the only positive thing I can say about our visit, Drinks were ok but nothing special and the cakes were tasteless. We shared 2 cakes and they were both awful. Coffe and walnut cake lacked walnuts in the sponge. The coffee ‘flavouring’ came in the form of coffee syrup that was poured onto the bottom layer of the cake it did however slightly improve the texture of an otherwise dry cake. Chocolate cake was dry, heavy and with a bitter chocolate covering. Very poor quality indeed. Toilets were dirty. I think the only manage to stay in business is high prices for poor quality drinks and eats is do to the location

Freezing cold, windy, rainy day... Trekked to the chip shop to find it closed so took shelter in the cafe for a warm and some lunch. Enjoyed a lovely bowl of chips and curry sauce, really generous portion and a nice hot chocolate! Cheerful staff and a lovely environment... Little bit cold but it was freezing outside and they did have the log burner going.

Great little cafe at the end of the Stone Jetty Good choice of sandwiches, toasties, hot filled rolls and cakes. Basic cafe food and a typical beach cafe feel inside. Loved our traditional old fashioned toasties 😋❤ Staff all very friendly and hardworking. Licensed too. Amazing Views.

Coffee was pretty expensive to be honest but it was a good one. Flapjack was terrible. Toilets truly shocking!

We were blown along the stone jetty in the direction of the cafe, which is about two thirds the way along on the left. It is a nice place for a sit with a cuppa and a light bite. The inside is nicely decorated and there are also seats outside, providing you are not wearing a wig. My scone was very crumbly and much of it disintegrated whilst trying to butter it. Nice pot of tea.

This café has a superb location with excellent views of Morecambe Bay. We really enjoyed sitting outside on a perfect day. It doesn’t have the look of a barista style café, but the flat whites were excellent. The staff were friendly and efficient. The prices were reasonable.

Our first time in Morecambe so we wanted to experience as much as we could in an Afternoon. This cafe is set in the perfect location beside the sea. We got a table outside with the beautiful view and stopped for a snack and a drink which was reasonably priced. Highly recommend

The owner of this cafe is so helpful. His food and drinks were very reasonable. Such a group of helpful staff. I highly recommend the stroll down the Jetty to have a sea view cuppa.

Popped in as passing at lunchtime whilst out on the bike. Nice freindly place, but the food was expensive. I know its inflation etc, but the kids meal was over £4 but was only 1 cheap sausage, and few crappie chips. Way overpriced for what it was. Kids meals should be waaay cheaper. You also have to get your own cutlery and stuff, so can't even praise the service. Sorry Stone Jetty cafe, but you need to up your game.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. We had soup and a toasted sandwitch. Both were homemade and tasty. Tea also. The standard of this establishment is a credit to the staff. Everything beautifully clean and fresh including the loo's. A great find on a less than pleasant day. Thank you.

Lovely lunch of festive panini followed by cake one of which was gluten free. Excellent service by cheery staff. A must to visit again.

Wonderful surroundings on a jetty which used to be the railway terminus for ferries...ideal situation. We sat outside in the sun. There was a queue but service was quick. The Victoria sandwich was huge, the range of tea huge, and the coffee- instant milky- was hot frothy and cheap. Will come again.

Stone Jetty Cafe is in a great location at the end of the Stone Jetty Pier. Menu isn’t great however food and service was good. Worth a visit

Delicious stop for lunch at the end of the Jetty. The cakes are delicious & went down very well with coffee. Beautiful views of the bay too.

The bacon butties are wonderful, as are the chips. Definitely worth having a home baked cake if you are just calling in for a drink. On a nice day when you can sit outside on the jetty, the views are incredible. All the staff are lovely and you always get service with a smile.

2 years to the week I visited the Stone Jetty Cafe with my wife and left a review which wasn't great. We returned today and the improvement was massive. Lovely polite staff and fresh, tasty food. Definitely a place we will be visiting again....and again.

Looking for somewhere to eat, we came across these premises. Service was excellent friendly, disabled toilets great. Food was top class and plentiful. Very good value compared to other seafront locations. Returned following day so impressed. New owners need your support try them.

We'd been looking forward to a morning coffee break after arriving in Morecambe. We saw the cafe on the jetty from a distance and headed for there.The service was friendly - the food and drinks rather average. What put us off a little was the waitresses going our and in the cafe with trays to the customers without wearing masks. Inside there was a screen at the ordering point.We did hear one of the waitresses tell someone that their family had just taken it over from the longstanding tenants. Maybe they're on the learning curve - worth tying again in a little while perhaps

On a blustery day took a walk along the stone jetty to the aforementioned stone jetty cafe. A lovely historical and listed building promised much but failed to deliver. As I say a blustery day with a chill in the air and inside the cafe no heat to warm the atmosphere. I had an elderly member of the family with me who uses a walking trolley we were greeted by a high stone step that made it virtually impossible for her to gain access so I would say definitely not disability accessible (I had to assist a lady struggling to enter with a pushchair). The decor was stuck somewhere in the 1970’s a nod to retro but not quite and as I say cold inside. The coffee was very strong and probably suffering from the cold as it was only lukewarm. The ladies serving however were very polite and maintained a cleanliness that should be rewarded. We didn’t eat but the sandwiches looked good and everything served was eaten. Overall I think for a quick snack and drink in good weather worth a trip.

After a bike ride from Caton car park on a cold day early May we noticed this cafe after sitting for a while in a chilly wind. So we moved over to have a look at the old railway station terimus. As Covid restrictions applied they were only serving "take away". Good selection of cakes but we wanted coffee but whilst waiting for a freshly made coffee's we decided on a treat of a slice of cake.Good choice, excellently made Cappuccino's made as we waited and enjoyed outside out of the wind.Helpful and very pleasant staff well turned out.The building has a Blue Plaque and listed as Grade 2, according to the listing the exterior was maintained by a volunteer group funded by National Lottery cash. This is a gem of a site with fantastic views and art work on the jetty.Sadly it looks like the volunteers need to spend a little time on the exterior again, the building could house a history of the building and its railway connections.This is no criticism of the cafe and its staff. We will visit again.

The bacon and egg butties are fantastic and the chips are great too! No problem with asking for it to be cooked how we like. So nice sitting outside with the view. Above all the staff are very friendly, especially the gentleman outside. They can’t do enough for you. Recommend!

There's nothing to beat the mouthwatering smell of frying bacon - apart from the taste. Really enjoyed our bacon rolls this morning.

Nice scones, the hot chocolate and latte coffees were fine. Would probably drop by if I was in the vicinity but wouldn’t make a special trip or detour. Decor is a little depressing, also the toilets were clean but looked like something from Prisoner Cell Block H!

I used to love this cafe but it closed for a while so I was happy to hear that it was to open again.We called for coffee and cake but had to wait a long time. We sat outside, in a cold wind, and must have waited for 15 to 20 minutes for the coffee to be poured and the cakes lifted from one plate to the other. The coffee was cold when it arrived and tasted as if it had been made for quite a while. It was the first day of opening so although we were very disappointed we will try it again in a few weeks to see if there’s an improvement.

Called in for a brew & a bacon & egg bun which we enjoyed. Ideal place for those having a stroll on the prom.

I love meeting up with friends here, the cafe is beautiful inside, the staff are kind and friendly.They host interesting art exhibitions. In summer sit outside at the tables and the views around Morecambe Bay are spectacular.

The Stone Jetty cafe is in prime position near the end of the Jetty. The dining area is nice, the food and drinks we had were okay. The toilet facilities left a lot to be desired. Wouldn’t rush back

The cafe is in a marvellous spot overlooking the Bay, especially if the day is nice and clear. Unfortunately, that's where the positivity ends. The staff, bar one young lady, were obnoxiously rude, vile and unfriendly. How they manage to attract business with their disgusting attitude towards customers is beyond me. I won't be going back and I certainly wouldn't recommend the place. Morecambe has a good choices of places that are far more superior to this hell hole.

It was a windy and wet day when we visited. We managed to get along the Stone Jetty without getting too wet and the cafe was a welcome sight. We had a toasty and tea each which warmed and fed us. Toasties come with a salad garnish. Good service and food cooked fresh,

Urgently needed to use the facilities and upon exit was greeted by the owner demanding a contribution to the upkeep of the toilets (which were filthy). We were all intending to buy ice creams but the owner then started threatening my dad and then my husband-putting his head up against his and inciting violence. A member of the public told him to stop as there were kids around. We managed to walk off, with the owner shouting abuse at us. A very unpleasant experience. There are many reviews on here and other sites mentioning the same owner and his aggressive and challenging behaviour. As neither customer service or food hygiene (they have been fined over £5000) are areas he is able to maintain a minimum standard in- perhaps he should consider a different industry.

The location is a plus and the menu is simple though not over inspired so it doesn't take long to choose or get served . The other great advantage is that it doesn't allow dogs inside . When I am eating I do not wish to share my space , or food , with a dog and yet so many dog owners seem to take offence because others do not share their enthusiasm . We ordered a toasted sandwich which arrived untoasted but that's a simple mistake so we didn't take issue and the salad garnish was a little brown round the edges and again we didn't complain . Come on jetty cafe , sharpen up a little , attend to the little details and raise your ratings .

We visited on a Wednesday afternoon for coffee and cake. Both coffee and cake were lovely and brought to the table promptly.I do not recognise the comments about rudeness and not dog friendly that I’ve seen in other reviews. My personal experience was that the service was friendly and we were given dog biscuits.It’s a lovely place to sit and admire the view. I would definitely go again and recommend to others.

On our holidays here and we sat on a table outside having just purchased ice cream and drinks. It started to pour down, but being under shelter we were happy to stay seated, even moving other chairs out of the way for a disabled lady to fit her wheelchair under the shelter. A few moments later, a man with white hair, tattoos and an appalling attitude told us to move because he needed our table. They then proceeded to stack up all the tables and chairs whilst he shouted aggressively at his staff. The lady in the wheelchair then asked her family to take her somewhere else because it made her uncomfortable. On the way down the jetty, another family complained of the rude nature. I would give this place a miss. Plenty of other nice cafes in Morecambe with friendly staff, better food and better ambience.

My wife and I have been meaning to visit The Stone Jetty cafe for several months now and finally had a walk down the jetty this afternoon. We popped in for a quick can of pop with the intention of walking to the end of the jetty and stopping for lunch on our way back.We got our drinks and sat on a nearby bench as all of the outside tables were taken.5 minutes into our drinks we were shocked and entertained by the owner/waiter who came out to deliver an order to a lady sat on a chair....with no table. It was obvious that someone had taken the table....out of the shade and into the glorious sunshine. The 'owner' proceeded to call out demanding to know what had happened to the lady's table. It was quite embarrassing and He was very rude.My wife and I decided to give the food a miss as we were worried what he would say to us if we spilt some salt or, heaven forbid, moved our chairs around slightly to face the sun.He reminded me of Basil Fawlty...not in his looks, but his rudeness. We were looking forward to our visit to The Stone Jetty.....we were very disappointed....and slightly frightened. I hope the man wasnt the owner as a return visit could then be possible. We will keep our eyes on other reviews in the hope he either gets the sack or sells up. Such a shame.

The cafe is right on the pier at Morecambe, so is a great spot to stop off if you've been along for a wander.

Nipped in for lunch on a sunny weekday staff were friendly food reasonably priced and premises clean. Cakes looked amazing(didn’t sample) and the coffee was good. Would recommend and it’s worth the walk out the pier, the view is excellent

Stop here after a little wander up the promenade and along the Stone Jetty. A plentiful supply of tea, coffee, home made cakes and biscuits at decent prices. The ice cream is a local made brand but a little expensive and lacking in any real flavour.

I do love the location of this little cafe, and have been pleased to recommend it in the past. However on a recent visit I was concerned to see the proprietor open up a large plastic container and pick a handful of salad leaves to garnish a toasted sandwich. He did not wear gloves and immediately handled plates and cutlery without any signs of hand washing Handling food needs better standards of hygiene. So still a great view, but concerned about the standards in the kitchen. Bit of a dilemma.

After a lovely walk along the front from our caravan site, and feeling the effects of the sun and wind, we called in for light afternoon refreshment. We were pleased to see scone, jam and cream as a menu item, as this is a particular favourite of ours. We were not disappointed, scones appeared genuinely home-made as advertised, with lots of fruit in and real clotted cream - what's not to like?! With a pot of tea for one and a latte - all for around a tenner - happy days :-)

Went for a last minute trip out with the family

Service was lacking, café needed cleaning. Found out yesterday that this establishment has just been fined by the council for poor hygiene standards !!!!

This is a great cafe near the end off the Stone Jetty behind the Midland Hotel. A super place for a coffee or tea and you can sit inside or outside depending on the weather. Looking back there is a great view of the promenade and it's shops.

My girlfriend and I visited this cafe for a quick bite as we took a wander around. The welcome was friendly and cafe was clean. My partners roll was very good but I was put off eating my sandwich because the bread had mould on it. Bit of a shame but it did give me time to take in the excellent views as she ate.

We were approacehed by the rather rude and aggressive owner before we'd even crossed the threshold. He clearly had no manners and cast abuse at us about health and safety, permissions to be there and that we had no valid permits. We were working in the vicinity with full permissions from the council and were welcomed everywhere else in the town which is what we did to get a coffee rather than take our custom inside. I don't tolerate such rudeness manners from any business owner and I have reviewed many hotels and establishments around the world. Pity, because he could have had business from many of us whilst working there.

We visited the Stone Jetty yesterday when we were on a charity bike ride. We stopped for tea and cake which was lovely, the chocolate orange cake was amazing and reasonably priced for a large portion. The staff were lovely and because we had our charity t-shirts on they came and asked us what we were doing. The owner then came out with a donation for our charity which was lovely and really unexpected. Gorgeous setting, it was lovely to sit and look at the views over the bay.

It is at the end of the jetty, a nice spot. When I go midweek in winter is is not open, so worth checking what the times are. Decent breakfast and ice cream. Coffee ok depending who they have on.

We visited Morecombe with our dog and were looking for lunch. The cafe is clean, the staff are friendly and the food was all delicious.

We stopped for a light lunch and were delighted by the well organised, friendly service and good food. Nice range of snacks, sandwiches and light meals available - and some delicious cakes. A lovely spot towards the end of the stone jetty with tremendous views of the bay. Good value, too.

...haven't visited this cafe for a few uears was bit poor previously. What a difference now. We had toasties with side salad and ordered portion of chips. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavour. Coffee also very good. Service also very good.

We stopped for coffee hrre after a walk around Morecambe and along the prom. Very clean, and lots of outside seating, which was just as well as one of our party was a wheelchair user and we couldn't find a ramp for him to acces the inside of the cafe.

Absolutely fantastic setting, arguably better than the Midland Hotel. Food was well prepared light fare and none of us had a bad word to say. Service was good and quick and attentive. We had some sandwiches and toasties and all eaten without a murmur. Slightly pricey but happy to pay for the view. Would return.

You always expect terrible food in these brilliantly situated cafes, but it was pretty good. A bit expensive but not over the top. You can sit inside or out depending on the weather. Seemed clean.

Still a wonderful location so always a big draw for this cafe. Really enjoyed sitting on a sunny but windy day, and you know if there is a wind on this jetty, having a very acceptable cup of tea and a slice of cake. But oh dear, the chocolate cake was dry and absolutely tasteless, and mine was the first slice. So obviously not homemade. So enjoy the views, enjoy your drink but stick to the shortbread. !

I recently witnessed one of the worst examples of customer service I have ever seen in UK at this establishment. It was a sunny Sunday afternoon and many customers were sitting outside. A female customer who had bought drinks and cakes politely asked the owner if she could sit at a certain table he had just tidied. For no apparent reason the owner/ manager completely lost control, he shouted abusive remarks for all around to hear, calling her a lunatic and mentally deranged. He told the man she was with to "get her certified". He was aggressive, uncontrolled, abusive and offensively discriminatory. She remained calm and walked away leaving her purchases behind. The incident was so extreme she would have been fully justified in calling in the police.

We had to two jackets of potato one with tuna one with beans and cheese and one sausage and egg sandwich and cheesy chip and tea and coke very reasonable price and good service and friendly staff

On one of my regular walks from Heysham old village to Morecambe pier this is a ideal spot for some refreshment. The service is good and you can choose to be inside or outside depending on the weather. For tea and a scone it is very reasonably priced. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Interesting for me as there are railways connections to the cafe building and the pier. The cafe had a very good range of cakes scones etc and drinks. The cakes tasted very good and on a hot day sat ouside. There were plenty of staff and all were very friendly.

Terrible attitude to people the guy was out and out rude refuses to let children use toilet if they didn’t buy anything was horrified he would rather see a child wet them self than use his facilities

Ordered a pot of tea for two and it felt like we were being dismissed because we were not spending more money over the counter.The two waitresses were very young and inexperienced but they had no customer care skills.Food seemed reasonably priced though it generally just caters for snacks and light bites.Location is excellent with outstanding views of the sea,promenade and Lakeland hills.

For years I have loved visiting this restaurant - wheelchair and dog friendly it was perfect and my son and I have many happy memories. Yesterday my dog and I walked along the prom, so looking forward to visiting it again, but as I opened the door (now with steps) I was met with an aggressive shout 'NO DOGS!' I instinctively backed out and fled, upset and hurt that such a once lovely place could now be a no go area for me. I would have happily sat outside if the staff had offered to bring me a menu and take my order there but they clearly didn't want a dog in sight. I had wondered why so many folks with dogs were having picnics on the beach. I asked some dog owners on the jetty if there was a good dog friendly café in Morecambe and they said they couldn't find one. So today I am off to Grange where I know I will get a warm welcome - with my dog.

Myself and my husband, our son, daughter in law and two Grandsons called in this café on Saturday 24th March for lunch. It is at the end of the jetty, the views are lovely and the café is very clean, light and airy with pastel coloured painted furniture and items made of driftwood on the walls. We had toasted sandwiches with various fillings and cheesy chips which were all very good.

A real treat is there for all , particularly after a pleasant stroll around Morecambe Bay & such friendly people
