Came here to meet my parents, staff very friendly and lunch was really good.

Quite a lovely establishment full of activities and entertainment. Pool tables, darts, skittles, beer garden with bouncy castle, sports broadcasts, and more besides. There's a food menu too including breakfast... Ample free parking is available and there's wheelchair access. Dogs are only welcome in the bar and not the coffee lounge apparently; which cost them a star because Sally is an Assistance Dog 🐕 and not a pet dog, and to exclude an Assistance Dog is discrimination!)

It's a good pub, good atmosphere, plenty of TV screens to watch sport, also let dogs in. But £11.60 for two pints of bitter. Blimey !

We didn't have any food but my husband goes regularly and I went for the first time with him to celebrate his birthday. This is the friendliest pub I have ever been too. Even though it was my first time I felt like a regular it was that friendly. The bar girls went above and beyond helping me to surprise my husband. So a big massive thank you to all.

I last reviewed here 18 months ago. Delighted to report it has maintained its high standards. Welcoming and friendly staff overseeing an ideal 'lounge' for dining. Huge range of food options that, crucially for me, are cooked well, with obvious care. Good size mains with potato options and seasonal veg that taste as they should (obvious, but not always ubiquitous!). Sensible pricing yields value for money. Looking for an 'even better if' to prove I have no vested interest? - maybe serve the lovely gravy in a separate little jug; I loved it but a few of you might want to have less.

Delicious hot lunch with homemade pie and well-cooked accompaniments. Warm and efficient service. Good range of pub and hot drinks.

Had a amazing Sunday dinner here and spent 3 evenings enjoying drinks and seeing old friends and making new ones. So looking forward to coming back in December. Great atmosphere and staff you couldn't ask for more.

Popped in with the inlaws when on a visit back to Northamptonshire last week pub is busy food was excellent not the fastest to get your food , had a pint of cider and burger and chips good size meals

Awesome pub with both sports bar and quieter lounge( dining available in both) excellent value for money with local ales. The food is fabulous and the staff were so friendly and attentive 👍🏻 Highly recommend the homemade Ale pie and mash.

What amazing food! I honestly wasn't expecting the food to be as good as it was. The Steak and Ale pie is the best I've ever had. Super friendly staff and a wonderfully pleasant atmosphere. What a lovely father's day. Thankyou to the staff, I will 100% be revisiting!

I'd say this venue is definitely a sports bar but the atmosphere is always great. Good selection of drinks and the food is very tasty.

My first visit since 1985, food is a revelation, good honest pub grub, served hot, full of flavour, with perfectly cooked seasonal veg and excellent value. It would not have been possible to squeeze any more tender steak into steak pie and as for the homemade beef 1/2lb burger...wow. I won't leave it so long next time.

Still an excellent place to unwind and have a decent pint and scrummy food My sons love it because of the pool tables. I live in Bedford and my dad lives round the corner so sometimes pop in when visiting him. Friendly helpful staff.

Went to the pub to watch the England vs France game , was confronted by the manager, Mark on the way in . He refused entry without reason. Following this he then used vulgar language as he asked “ if he was a d*** head “. Overall a really negative interaction , will not be going back do not recommend this pub especially to family’s.

Love this pub eat here regularly, today I had the chilli which was delicious, my Husband had the steak pie, mash and vegetables he said, it's the best pie he has ever had, absolutely delicious and full of tender beef!, we will be back soon.

8 of us met up to discuss our plans for Christmas. It was the night of the England v France World Cup game. This was being shown in the restaurant but it did not impact on our evening at all. We ate from the Christmas menu. The portions were generous and the meals where appropriate were piping hot. Friendly service.

First ever visit , really nice friendly vibe. Staff were super lovely and nothing too much trouble. Food was classic pub grub , nothing amazing but good hearty, tasty warm nosh. Good veggie and vegan options too which my partner was pleased about. Will definitely return!

Great pub on the housing estate. Looks like a converted and extended house. Lunch menu and food excellent. Large pub, restaurateur and terrace area. Lots of TV for sports with pool tables. Value for money

Really nice neighborhood pub with a good mix of beer and cider, as well as, variety of food. The lasagna was good and the the chili con carne even better. The fish and chips golden and crispy.

Fantastic family friendly pub. The food was amaaaaaaazing! Proper home cooked style, generous portions, served piping hot and delicious. The staff are super helpful and friendly. I will definitely be returning. There is outside seating and play area for kids, and a couple of pool tables inside. Plenty of parking spaces available too. Quality.

Came for lunch having never been before. There were a few things unavailable but we were told this before ordering. Every effort was made to accommodate my mum who is df/gf. Kids meals were particularly good value and great portion sizes. Really enjoyed our lunch and I’m sure we’ll be back

My group of friends are keen breakfast lovers and have sampled several local venues, The Stirrup Cup at Barton Seagrave is head and shoulders above the competition, not only in quality but price too. They have become a regular brekky venue for us now.

This is a lovely friendly place serving a great value breakfast. Only 5 minutes off the motorway, a much more pleasant stop than the services!

Nice family friendly pub. Staff seemed friendly and attentive. Dogs welcome which made our visit more enjoyable. Beer garden is okay, just very small but not much that can be done about that

A large group of us were booked in for lunch. We all had great service and a fantastic meal. It was also excellent value for money. Will definitely be going back - especially for the sticky toffee pudding which everyone said was really good.

Just moved to the area made to feel welcome good food and lovely for the kids . They accommodate the whole family .

Coffee tasted like praline. If you really love coffee you will be disappointed. Other than that staff are helpful and friendly.

We had Sunday roast dinner here last Sunday and all I can say is “WOW”!! THE best value for money Sunday roast we have ever had. Absolutely fantastic and will definitely be coming back!!

Second time here of late, very nice friendly people and staff. Darts, pool and many TV screens. For a post match snack the curry,chips with fresh bread was excellent. I should think the food would be very good. Nice outdoor area. A good night.

The staff is very nice and helpful also, the food is extraordinary. We've recieved the order in a reasonable time. There is place arranged for kids to play as well. A friendly neighbourhood pub. I recommend to visit it in every part of the day or the week. We're all very satisfied with The Stirrup Cup. It's a lovely place where you can go to relax when there are not football matches.

The food was extremely good when we eventually got it as the service was atrocious. Table was booked for sunday roast for 1pm .. we left at 3.45 had to go to the bar twice to ask someone to come and clear the empty plates after sitting there an hour and again to order our desserts and drinks as nobody came back to take our order

This is the type of place every community should have! Having eaten here a few times in the last three months I'm delighted to say that the food is top notch - from an excellent full breakfast to a superb Sunday lunch with all the trimmings. The food is cooked fresh, using high quality ingredients - and the chef accommodates quirks such as the request for well-done bacon! What's more the portion size is substantial, resulting in good value for money. All staff encountered were friendly, helpful and positive. The environment is welcoming and spotlessly clean. A delightful pub and communnty resource in every respect!

We had a family meal in the stirrup cup last sat. 24 people in total. Not one complaint. We pre ordered the food. Which was on time and no complaints. The staff were polite and could not do enough to ensure the meal went well would certainly reccomend

Wow this did not disappoint! Wish it was in Burton not Barton!! Nothing "dry", "soggy" or "tough" here....2 rounds of drinks for 3, and 3 gorgeous lunches for £20 a piece. Scrummy crispy chips, crisp salad and superb tender chicken bugers - beautiful "slice" of Lasagne, not a spoonful of slop!! Lots of condiments to choose from. Well done Mark n staff.....we'll def be back 1 👍
