Jurassic Grill in Kettering

This was our first visit. I reserved a 3hr slot as we were meeting family for Christmas. A family member ordered the pulled pork burger, she is not a fussy eater but what was served looked like dog food. The pulled pork had disintegrated. I tried some and the texture was not nice. Coated in a very large amount of bbq sauce. Not what you expect when you order pulled pork, you expect the nice shredded pieces of pork. This was mush. I raised this with the waitress and they said they can cook a plain one as there is a issue with there pulled pork, but the waitress said she would need to charge me for the new burger. This is the first time I've come across this. If your food is not up to standard and doesn't taste nice is is rude to charge them for something they haven't eaten. I went ahead and got charged with it as it was more important at the time to enjoy our family time and make it memorable than to be arguing with the waitress over extra charges. When the new burger was brought out the burger itself was stone cold, to the point where the cheese slice wasn't even melted so it had clearly been sitting around in the kitchen for a bit before serving it. Which I don't understand why as they were not busy there was only 1 other table dining at that time with 4 people on. My family member decided to eat it but diddnt enjoy it and left most of it. About an hour and a half into our booking the waitress comes to our table and said I've rung your bill up you can pay at the bar. Which made some of my family feel like they wanted us to leave even though I had booked the table for 3hrs. Overall decor is nice. But the food is awful. Dry cold burgers and pulled pork mushy and customer service bad, charging us for a new burger when there food is not up to standard.

Staff were exceptional. Quick efficient service. Adaptable when we wanted to deviate from the standard children's menu. Spent time keeping the children amused with a puppet style baby dinosaur.

The whole experience tonight at Jurassic Grill, Kettering was superb. The Jurassic theme was excellent, enjoyed by my grandchildren. The welcome and super service from Eleanor and Olivia made us feel comfortable. The meal was delightful. I had a dish I had not had before and I was pleasantly surprised as it was served in good time, hot and delicious. The cost was very reasonable, pitched just right. I highly recommend this restaurant.

My friends and I had lunch at this restaurant a few months ago and we were very impressed by its amazing atmosphere. We had 5 kids in our group and all of them had so much fun when the friendly staff introduced their Dino friends to them and shared interesting facts about dinosaurs. You don't always find a dinosaur theme restaurant anywhere and you could tell that they were passionate about the theme as it matched well with their interior design and their menu. The restaurant offered a rather unique experience and it did stand out from the other high street restaurants. I would definitely come back as my kids loved it.

Kids & us loved it. The ambience is great. Food is good & well priced. The lady brought dinosaurs & shared some info about them twice during our visit. Kids got small presents upon finishing the activity page. If you are planning to visit with kids, definitely recommend it. Note that there is a municipality building car park at the back as the road in front is restricted.

Great atmosphere and experience. Food was good - we had the afternoon tea package which included two slider burgers in very colourful buns each and lots of cake and popcorn. Lovely staff who were very friendly and welcoming. My granddaughter loved the dinosaurs that they brought to the table to meet her. Would definitely go back again soon

What a fantastic little gem. Such a great experience for both little and big people. We had a really enjoyable meal whilst meeting the local baby dinos and their handlers. My granddaughter absolutely loved stroking and learning about the babies and touching the egg. Callum was brilliant and was so gentle with our grandson who was a little scared. The whole staff team were excellent. Such great customer service. We look forward to going back. Well done to everyone of you. You made our eating out experience exceptional. Wish we lived closer. What an absolutely wonderful place, fantastic for the kids, great food and great service. Staff are exceptional and really deliver the experience. Our daughter could talk of nothing else on the journey back. We will definitely be back and would not hesitate to recommend.

Been here twice and both times it was quiet (a preference for myself as not a huge fan of crowded places ) food was great, staff were amazing and really good at keeping my son entertained! 10/10 would recommend for both theme, food and service 🙂

Great atmosphere and lovely food again. This was our third visit and it just gets better and better! Nikki was outstanding, she introduced three dinosaurs to the boys (9 and 11). They were very interested in the types on display. She explained all about them, took the boys upstairs to see their favourites, and showed them a collection of real dinosaur fossils. I had the Blue Raptor Burger, the bun was a beautiful blue colour. Nikki explained that all the coloured buns are natural colouring and nothing artificial. Blue is from Blueberries, Red is from Strawberries, Black is Charcoal none of which inhibits the taste of the brioche bun. Lunch took a bit longer than we expected but it was very enjoyable and well worth it. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely brilliant!!! The manager was incredible - attentive, helpful and very kind, and the dinosaurs were fabulous!!

Fantastic meal and very reasonable. The service was great and Tom really made our visit. Once we had finished with our meal we went to the lounge upstairs for the rest of a great evening. Will definitely return.

Well as a soon as we walked in, Niki was very friendly and made our meal out feel more like an adventure. As soon as we mentioned our child had dietary requirements, she mentioned what foods we should avoid and what was recommended and even bought a separate menu. Through out our meal even made sure everything was okay with his food. She also gave more amazing recommendations on the food there and what she thought were some of the best choices. Tom one of the servers was fantastic, coming round with dinosaur puppets and toys, which even the adults enjoyed, lovely touch to our meal out. Food was amazing especially the gimic burgers. I went for the meteorite burger which comes out with a black bun. Loved it! And the desserts were fantastic too. Thank you very much for a great meal out! When back in Kettering we will shall be returning!!

Came for the blue burger and chicken sabertooth which were both very delicious and would recommend for both a family visit or a solo but definitely worth coming and trying the food very different to other cuisines

A lovely venue with fantastic staff. My 5 year old loved the place and the staff were an absolute joy. The food however wasn't great. The pizza was bland and and the burger was tasteless. The bun was cold and just out of the fridge, the coleslaw was too cheesy!. If it wasnt for the staff and venue it would be a 1 star. sorry!

£38 for burnt cheese pizza, 2 portions of hard chips and a portion of rock hard chicken strips again with hard chips, definitely not worth the money. Wouldn't advise anyone to go unless they like very very overcooked food

I think we may have come on an 'off' day. I read lots of reviews and was really excited to take my little boy who loves dinosaurs. The atmosphere was quite flat, perhaps it's better when there's lots of people dining. We probably chose some pretty standard dishes off the menu so didn't experience the really unique food in the photos. Three of us dined, only had main meals and my little one had a dessert - with a tip it came to £48 so not the cheapest of places. The food came out quite quickly which is always a bonus when you've got children so that was good.

What a wonderful place and an absolute asset to Kettering. We were made to feel so welcome, the staff were wonderful and the food was very good. Here you don't just get a meal - you get an experience! The manager was wonderful with my year old nephew, who love dinosaurs, and was able to tell us so many interesting facts. My nephew said it was the best place ever and hasn't stopped talking about it since! If you like dinosaurs - go! If you don't - go and you soon will ;)

What an absolutely amazing find while camping at Wicksteed Park. The atmosphere inside is excellent, the plants and dinosaurs fit the theme, and while it may not look open from the outside, once you are inside you will realise why! Nicky was brilliant with the dinosaur facts, interactions with all of the patrons, and shared some really fantastic fossils. Our waitress Olivia was equally as good. Would absolutely go again, and can only hope they bring one to Cambridgeshire.

I've wanted to take my niece and nephew here for a few years. Today was finally the day. A fabulous family Saturday lunchtime treat and catch up with my family. The food was fresh and tasty. Don't worry if you have allergies or fussy children as the staff are amazingly patient and very accommodating. The interactive dinosaurs are a brilliant idea and enjoyed by children and adults. I can not praise the manager enough. She was amazing today and a credit to the restaurant. They are now open Friday and Saturday evenings, so I will definitely have to try that next.

A pre-birthday treat turned into the most phenomenal night! Thank you so much to Nicky and her awesome team at Jurassic Grill Kettering. We had the warmest welcome, delicious food and my son was completely spoiled with the cheeky interactive dinosaurs that made him howl with laughter. He was blown away by the decor but the service was, in his own words, EPIC. Nothing was too much trouble and the team went above and beyond to make his night special…including making him a birthday hat and singing happy birthday with a dessert bigger than he’d ever seen. But to top it all off, Nicky kindly showed him a case full of fossils and talked him through each one in detail (her dinosaur knowledge is amazing and her enthusiasm was infectious from table to table). Handling the fossils blew my son’s mind and completely made his day (and his dad’s 🤣). Parking was just a street away and free after 3pm (Mon-Thurs) bonus! Really can’t recommend this place more, absolute 5 star experience from start to finish. Thanks so much Nicky

We loved it here!! One of our group has a gluten allergy and they were very knowledgeable and careful, we felt perfectly comfortable. My son hurt himself while we were eating (not the restaurant’s fault) and they were attentive and offered first aid and a free ice cream!! We live an hour away but will definitely be back.

Fantastic customer service. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. A staff member spent a considerable amount of time showing us lots of fossils which were brought to our table. We used the party room for a Birthday party for our 4 year old son, it was fantastic! The party room is a great space, lovely food, good value and super clean. Absolutely wonderful experience with my friend on Saturday. Incredibly relaxed and inviting atmosphere, lovely and passionate staff (thank you Nikki and Tom!!), and the history lesson on fossils and dinosaurs was such a treat! Was smiling every second and felt like a little kid all over again :)

The food was really good - I had the light meal chicken burger and chips, which were crispy and tasty. The deep fried comets for dessert were amazing, highly recommend these!! What we didn't expect was some fossils to be brought out and for them to be explained to us - amazing interactivity with customers even though we are adults with no children, it was brilliant! Very fun and friendly atmosphere, thank you to Nicki and Tom (? Can't remember if that was your name haha) for the experience :))

Rated it five star purely on service and how attentive the staff were. All the staff members were great but in particular Tom made our 4 year old sons experience that much more magical! The theme and decor are fantastic. For the price, the menu should be a little more varied with a kids menu as an option. The food was decent.

We went here for my son's birthday at the end of April ... We were the first guests in the restaurant ... The staff were absolutely amazing they made my little boys day!. They were so welcoming and friendly i couldn't express to them enough how touched i was that they had made my son's day so special. Food was delicious both the adults and kids loved the desserts especially. Really educational as well isn't just for children because I really enjoyed myself and learned things too! Will definitely be going back and would ABSOLUTELY recommend!

Great find. The kids absolutely loved it here. The atmosphere and theming is great and the food is spot on! But what really makes it is the staff!! They were amazing and couldn't do enough for us, with awesome interaction with the kids for dino meets and fossil discoveries! Cannot recommend this place enough if you have dino loving kids!

Great service and nice place to be. The only thing that would be good to amend would be the amount of natural light downstairs. Take some of the green plastic off the front windows would improve the restaurant atmosphere.

My 34 month old loved it! Kids are actively encouraged to look around. There was an Easter activity to find golden eggs when we visited. Food was decent. Very impressed.

Had a wonderful evening at the Jurassic Grill this evening for an 8yr olds birthday. Thomas and Ryan served us and were so polite and helpful - they made the evening with special guests (puppets) and a look at fossils throughout the meal. The food was lovely, especially the chunky chips! All in all, everyone really enjoyed the experience and we'll definitely visit again.

Won’t be back, food took an hour to arrive and it was not nice, my pizza had bubbles on it, wasn’t cooked and the other half was burnt . Staff aren’t very friendly

Great food but even better service. Alan, our waiter, took time to explain the new menu option and even managed the impossible... keeping 6 hyped up, hungry kids seated by playing various games with them like a dinosaur Easter egg hunt. Great value and entertainment. it's worth an extra drive out.

Fantastic setting for kids. Great models, love the baby dinosaur puppet- very realistic. Menu varied and reasonably priced. Alan and Ryan are absolutely brilliant staff members who totally made our 4-year-old grandson's day. Totally amazing guys. Can't recommend the place enough.

Absolutely brilliant! Great theming, and the staff were so friendly and helpful and kind. They were so good with all the kids there (we went with a 6 year old) and they brought out dinosaurs for us to meet, and were telling us all about them. Food was tasty, and generous portions. Would highly recommend it if you have kids, it was a really fun time and we will definitely be heading back at some point :)

Just had Dinner with my wife and 11 year old daughter. I must say , i don’t often bother to write reviews unless there’s a strong reason. Very themed and pleasant space specially if you bring children. The team was very welcoming, professional, and were going the extra mile to keep us comfortable and happy. Special thanks to Thomas for his courtesy and taken to “break the ice” with my daughter and even showed some fossils and explained what they were! As for the Menu, felt simple But great presentation and very tasty 👌 and i see nothing wrong with that, and i must add , the team made an effort to accommodate our requests that weren’t exactly in the tin description ! Definitely recommend and well worth the 40 mins drive 👏

We took my son for dinner here for his 7th birthday treat. Food was great and staff were amazing. Especially Thomas who made it fun for my two children by bringing the large dinosaurs to the table. They were even given some little, toy dinosaurs as a reward for completing an activity sheet. They had a really fab time. I bought a slice of birthday cake for my son and they brought it to the table with the happy birthday song playing and everyone in the restaurant cheered. It was lovely.
