Poor. One of worse pubs I've visited in a while. London Pride was nearest they got to an Ipa, and it was absolutely awful, like it was off. Won't go back.

I had the unfortunate experience of being stuck in Tonbridge after work, due to bank holiday delays on tube. The service was great, the beer was cheap @ £4 a pint and they had sky sports. However the security team absolutely let the side down and ruined what could’ve been a nice evening. They confiscated my work bag, because i had tools. Which i’m fine with, because I’m a grown up. However there’s a young woman on the security team who marched through the bar and gave me a filthy look, as if i were a criminal for carrying a work bag. After this, I felt insecure because they were holding my tools, some of which i’ve owned since 1986. So after said evil looks i felt uncomfortable and asked the security team if it was ok if i checked my bag. The girl, clearly on a power trip, kicked off accusing me of being rude, being a drug addict and manipulated the rest of the security team with her lies in order to convince them to kick me out. Even though i’d only had one drink and just got off a very hard day at work. I asked for a refund for the untouched 2nd pint i had just bought and she refused. I literally had to call the police to rein her in as she was completely delusional on a crazy power trip and even accused me of being delusional and a ‘weirdo’ for carrying a work bag. What an awful experience and i’d highly recommend she’s either sacked to reined in for her abusing and bullying behaviour

I used to be a regular here years ago and it wasn't a pleasant place really, sticky carpets, notches out of bar stools and or tables basically a pretty low ranked place. HOWEVER I was there on 22/05/23 for my uncle's wake sadly. I honestly couldn't believe that I was in the same building I used to frequent frequently its had a huge makeover and I think it's absolutely amazing what's been done to get it up to scratch it's almost had every inch done up. Cheap drink and lots of tellies. That's about it to be honest. We visited late in the afternoon on a Friday and you sense the change in mood from the usual collection of elderly alcoholics swapping the same anecdote ad nauseam, through a few thirsty tradesmen to the time when bouncers are required and the toilet cubicles are full of people with sudden sniffy colds. If you want to buy a couple of pints for less than a fiver, this is the place to be, but only during daylight. No food, and a cash-only bar.

Re-named as Station House and now part of the Craft Union pub group. Formerly Clock House, Mojos, Station House, South Eastern. Knew it had recently been refurbished, visited after returning from London. Pleasantly surprised as it now has carpet throughout, heating that works and feels warm. Full stocked bar with wide variety of drinks. The old kitchen has been removed which now has gaming machines in it. there are four large television screens in the open areas with a smaller screen in each of the three bay seating areas towards the rear of the pub. I noticed that there were more persons in the place than previously; I have been known to be the only person in the bar before, when it was the cold and dreary Clock House. The refurbishment done by the current tenants / owners has greatly improved the look, feel of warmth and variety of drinks.

Walked into the bar, owners dog walking around customer area, bar person sat at juke box choosing music to listen to. £4.50 for a pint of fosters which I thought was expensive. Another customer asked if they did food, they do not, so customer said they would go to get food elsewhere then return with it to eat in the beer garden; the bar person agreed. Drink stocks in fridges were minimal, not sure if all the beer on tap was available. Honest opinion is have a drink if walking past after leaving train station otherwise go elsewhere. Not sure how this pub is surviving.

My friend and I were looking forward to revisiting but what a complete let-down! It was so cold all the adults at the front of the bar were sitting, drinking with their coats on! At the back of the bar there was the tail-end of a party, with lots of kids running round, shouting and screaming. When the kids decided it was more fun to run, shout and scream at the front, amongst us, the adult drinkers, we decided we’d had more than enough and went to Fuggles - a REAL addition to the town.Given its location, right by the station, this place should be a real hotspot, a commuter’s dream, not a kids playground. Sorry but it just seems to have gone badly wrong....

I had been using the Clock House after it opened as a baby cafe in the day. I have never been overly impressed by the heavy pub menu, especially as there wasn't much vegetarian or dairy free food on offer, but it was perfectly fine for a coffee and a snack. Unfortunately during our last visit, my friend and I had to stop our babies playing with the toys on the mats as there were lots of older children playing boisterously, all with muddy shoes on, and not taking much care about the smaller children. The toys and mats were dirty, and we were a bit worried about the babies putting them in their mouths. Our concerns were correct as we all got very very sick, and one of the girls ended up in hospital after having a sickness bug for 10 days. They hadn't been around any other children that week, so it had definitely come from the mats or toys. We did report this to the Clock House owners, and they assured us that they had purchased new mats and the toys would now be cleaned each day. I won't be returning until there is a no shoe policy in the play area, like with the other soft plays in town.

You’ll see I wrote a glowing review of the Clock House when it was a tapas, but I’m sad to say it’s now gone very down hill. I’m assuming there are severe money issues as I’m sat here writing this with my coat still on as it’s so cold in here (other customers are also shivering in big coats too). I’m also without a drink, as the sauv Blanc was so bad I assumed it was off or another type of wine, went back to change it, only to realise it was just poor wine! Wasn’t offered to change it so now paid over the odds for the one glass of wine my boyfriend is able to drink. Oh and it’s very loud with screaming babies too. I will never return. Such a shame it’s gone so downhill as we love supporting local businesses :-(

Came for an early birthday meal. No longer does tapas although the starters have tapas like dishes. Excellent haggis fritters. Lovely and light. Very good mac n cheese. Also good sweet potato and aubergine salsa. However very large portions both starter and main wise which meant we wasted some of the main. Good service. Will be back but either they need to reduce the size of the portions or we will be more selective in what we eat. Good beer selection too.

This place was a welcome addition to the Tonbridge restaurant scene when it opened, serving great tapas – the only place in town to do so. After a number of good evenings here, we came down a few days ago only to be told they weren’t serving tapas anymore and we were presented with a ‘pub grub’ menu featuring expensive burger and chips. Lots of places in Tonbridge already offer this, including both Wetherspoon’s Humphrey Bean and McDonald’s (both much better value). We drove to Townhouse in Tunbridge Wells and had tapas. Bye, bye Clockhouse – it looks like you have called time on yourselves!

We were really excited when we saw a new tapas restaurant was coming to Tonbridge. The Clock House is a large well appointed restaurant so far so good. Unfortunately the food doesn't quite stack up to the billing. Portions are a bit all over the place we ordered padron peppers and got about 5 small peppers and bread which was 2 small slices of French bread but other portions were large. Another dish was stone cold and when we advised our waiter this was resolved without fuss. Keep at it Clock House and you could have the makings of a good restaurant.

As an infrequent visitor to Tonbridge for a business meeting, it's always interesting to try new venues for a bite of dinner afterwards. The Clock House opened in April 2017 so very early days. Lured by the draw of authentic tapas, we decided to give it a try. Firstly, leave any thoughts of revisiting your favourite, cosy, candle-lit Benidorm holiday restaurant at the door. This is a huge, brightly lit, open plan bar/restaurant with a bar area as you enter, opening out into a large dining area with what appeared to be a garden area beyond. I'm unaware of any other tapas-themed restaurants in the area so, from that point of view, it should do well and will probably carve a niche for itself with a regular local clientele. Our party of four visited on a Friday evening when any restaurant should have been buzzing. There were around 20 diners when we arrived, leaving a considerable number of covers untaken. Early days perhaps. Service was prompt from our very attentive waitress with our very welcome reasonably priced drinks order arriving within a few minutes. To the food! Looking for authenticity, we ordered the meat paella for three. In the tradition of tapas, but not of mainstream restaurants in Spain, portions are certainly not overfilling, more of 'taster' size to be shared so be sure to order a few for variety. The photographs which accompany the Clock House's listing on Trip Advisor provide some indication of serving sizes. A hearty appetite would certainly have to double up on their choice of main dishes. Having eaten in numerous traditional Spanish restaurants whilst on holiday, I found the Tonbridge version rather bland. The seafood casserole seemed slightly overcooked and the chicken and chorizo paella lacked flavour and seasoning. Paella is one dish that, when cooked at home, benefits from 'ageing' overnight so perhaps - and understandably! - they are cooked to order in The Clock House, which might explain the lack of flavour. The rice was also overcooked for my taste and the chorizo lacked any real punch. The star dish, without question, was the delicious salt cod 'fritters', slightly belying their description as 'fritters' since they consisted of bite-size chunks of delicious soft cod in a very tasty batter. In retrospect, a serving of the 'fritters' with a portion of French fries would have proved a much tastier and more enjoyable choice of dish for me than the paella although you don't really go to a tapas restaurant for fish and chips! We skipped desserts. Drinks, a tea and a coffee produced a final bill of just under £100 so a reasonable cost per head for food in the main. We didn't have wine so perhaps budget for a bit more if you fancy 'a sniff of the barmaids' apron'. All in all, an enjoyable evening for the company of not necessarily the food. I'm not a Tonbridge resident but I imagine that The Clock House will carve out a faithful local customer base. I believe that the restaurant is developing a 'mum and baby' morning, which should do well since there is a huge, perfectly clean and easily washable[!] play area between the bar and the restaurant area, enabling local mums and babies to socialise and empathise whilst dodging the inevitable whingers at the local coffee shops!

She made me the best Pornstar Martini I've tasted and left us to chat for a few minutes over the tempting and inviting menu. On our waitress' return she also told us all about the specials, what's been popular, and asked whether there was anything else we needed. Been here three times now and haven't been disappointed! Lovely food and friendly staff. All cooked to order and fresh so at busy times expect wait! Recommend the pastas bravas, meatballs, croquettes and the pork belly. Great place and will go back. Had a great

Came in for a drink with my parents after a trip to London and ending up getting a couple of dishes to pick on. Food was excellent and full of flavour. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our waitress who I think was called Naomi was absolutely lovely! I will definitely be back soon!

The restaurant has only been open for a couple of months and I have been 4 times. The food is delicious and there is always a great atmosphere - I would really recommend this restaurant for any one who loves Tapas and a Glass of good wine.

I have seen some mixed reviews of this place so wasn't sure what to expect, however i was pleasantly surprised. Staff were very friendly and the food was fine. We had veg paella, garlic mushrooms, calamari and some other bits. Calamari was fine, mushrooms were kind of salty, paella was nice. Would like to go back and try some other things on the menu. Didn't like the background music very much though.

I have wanted to visit this place since it opened had the opportunity today.. It looked lovely both inside and out. The waitress was friendly and helpful and the decor was great.. The menu looked good and prices not bad. we ordered between 4 of us 6 tapas and a selection of meat and cheese.. which arrived more or less straight away then the rest 'dribbled' out which took almost an hour and we still hadn't been served the meatballs l.. The food we did have was ok however there was no bread served with the tapas (unheard of with tapas) there was no oil or vinigar on the tables, again unheard of and the alioli was bland and oily.. and the calamari was awful like eating lumps of Oily elastic. To much batter and over cooked .We left before the meatballs were served as we couldn't wait any longer .. it's not as if they were rushed off their feet their was only one other table that was occupied.. The service was absolutely awful . And the food just 'ok' I was so looking forward to this visit but will not return .. shame because it was a really nice space to relax and have a bite

We had not booked a table, and just walked in there were 7 of us the staff made us fell welcome and we're happy to seat us. We had 2 teenage girls with us so food may have been not what the girls would have wanted. The staff gave the girls options on which food they may like.

I could talk for ages about the appalling quality of food and the complete lack of service, But I am opting for a comment befitting the size and blandness of their food... If you love good Spanish tapas, just don't bother.👎

Tonbridge is a diverse place considering its size, and this place should not decide your expectations of the town. Poor service, staff have no idea what they're doing and food is substantial, but not brilliant. Also had to wait 30 minutes for a cocktail. Ridiculous, DON'T GO HERE.

Had a meal last night. Overall it was pretty good, I think still a few little blips with the service. Place looks great and has a nice atmosphere, staff are all really friendly and our food was pretty good. Some of it could've done with a bit more spice, but maybe that's just my personal taste!

Been here three times now and we cannot fault the food, drinks or venue and my rating would have been higher for this. However, each time the staff has let it down. They run around like headless chickens and appear really disjointed. There are enough staff for the tables, but they all run around the place instead of sticking to certain tables. Last time we were in, we waited ten minutes before we were even asked if we wanted a drink. It is new and there are bound to be teething problems, but seriously guys, get your act together

I've eaten three times and on each occasion the food has been excellent. Paella with succulent meats and rice that tastes of saffron. Exceptional braised octopus, superb pork belly and great calamari. Reasonable bottle of Albariño at £23 but could do with a couple of other dry/aromatics in the £15-£20 range. Other reviews have highlighted the service which could be better but the young lady with the antipodean accent was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The building lacks atmosphere as it's a large space and arguably it could be made to feel more intimate and perhaps more Spanish? However, the star is the food which is on the money and long may it continue as Tonbridge needs a place like this...

We walked in and my first thoughts were "where do I go?" Then we were greeted by a member of staff who I told we had booked a table. She checked the booking sheet and asked me if I was sure I had booked. I explained I had booked via E-mail and was told it must be in another book. Why have so many books for booking? Confusion comes to mind. I showed my E-mail to prove I was telling the truth then we were seated. We ordered our drinks and everything seemed fine. A few moments later we were told that they didn't have any mint and if we wanted the drink we ordered we would have to wait 15 minutes if we didn't then they suggested a Strawberry Bellini (which was more expensive). My mum agreed to this and was told they wouldn't charge us. We ordered our food and it was very fast to come out. We got everything apart from one dish which we told someone about only to be told we hadn't ordered it when we had. Our dish came out and we started to eat. The food was pretty average and can say I have had better. Some dishes were cold and we could have done with spoons to serve them. When we had finished the dishes were taken and we looked at the desserts. A waitress come over and took our order. A few moments later a waiter came over and tried to take our order again. Dessert was nothing to write home about either. I asked for the bill and it come over. Then someone else came over with our bill but the correct drink on but had been charged for it. I told the waitress and she had to go find the other waitress who told us we wouldn't be charged for it but she made out like she couldn't really remember what had happened but in the end we weren't charged the different. After I had paid the waiter came over with a card machine and asked if I was ready to pay I explained I had already paid and he went away.

Lovely Sunday lunch. Meats on trio roast were great, parsnip and veggies slightly undercooked, but that's just personal preference! Service was amazing and nothing too much trouble. Will definitely be back. Thank you.

We were greeted at the bar and directed to our private dining room. The bar staff were cheerful, helpful and the prices reasonable. Our servers were polite and attentive with the food delivered quickly. The meals were a piping hot, the meat tender and the seasonable veg. attractive, tasty and plentiful. The empty plates were cleared quickly and the courses served promptly. All in all dining at the Wealden Hall was a very good experience and I’d have no hesitation in recommending the venue.

This pub dates back to 1378. It’s a low beamed building so watch your head. Menu was good and food delicious. Staff helpful and friendly. There was a real fireplace burning. It’s a very kids friendly and dog friendly place. Customer car park round the back and beer garden for warmer months.
