It's a lovely simple cafe. We dropped in for a quick break. A coffee and piece of cake for a fiver. The staff were friendly and we had a very pleasant visit. Thank you.

I had to double check that I had the right place before I left this review because of the good reviews that had been left. Unfortunately it is the same tearoom that we visited this morning for breakfast! We are always on the look out for places where we can have meetings with clients and this looked like a potentially ideal place. Initial impressions were good. My husband and I ordered 2 'early riser' breakfasts. But I am sorry to say that it has to rate as the worst breakfast we have probably ever had. The breakfast was ordered and literally on the table in well under 5 minutes. The only thing that was remotely eatable were the baked beans. Not sure if it was supposed to be buttered toast or bread, my husbands egg had been broken then cooked and mixed with the cooking oil, bacon was very fatty and covered in pools of brown oil and the processed sausage was awful, just recalling it makes my stomach turn. The staff seemed more interested in using their mobile phones as they were on these longer than it took them to cook the food and were clearly more interested in getting back to them. Such a shame as a very nice setting. Loads of potential but unfortunately we certainly won’t be back or using this place in future.

Hi I had a fantastic experience!!! The hard working staff were up front about having a short delay. It was short and the food was beautifully cooked.

Called in at 5 past 9, web page shows that they open at 9. Main door not open so popped into side door and they said they were just setting up. Popped to toilets . No lights in ladies. Didn't work on Monday so not a one off. Went back into cafe and sat waiting to be acknowledged. 4 staff loitering, one on phone. No acknowledgement whatsoever. We walked out in the end. I popped back and politely suggested that they work on their customer service. The lady completely ignored me. The cafe is full of bath bombs and other gifts for sale, seems they are more interested in that than being a cafe . I will never go again.

Visited on the 25 August 2023, had a sausage and egg sandwich, sausage was very undercooked, terrible stomach pains and frequent visits to the toilet, can’t believe its that difficult to cook basic food, think I will have salad if I go again

The station cafeteria on the Chasewater railway is quite busy when the railway is open. I got a drink and a sncak and they also serve specialty coffees and hot food. The staff were friendly and welcoming and it was a nice atmosphere.

Decided to have the "special" which was ham mushroom & cheese omelette with chips, within an hour of eating it started repeating.... By the night full blown stomach cramps, sweating and diarrhea (this is all I had eaten on that day) the next day symptoms have worsened and included vomitting. Chasewater is ironic in the situation.

Ordered chicken and stuffing sandwich to take out, normally very nice but yesterday not up to standard. Stuffing was a lump in the middle of slice of bread and chicken was dry over cooked sliced fillets, and on white bread but I ordered whole meal bread. Very disappointing.

We dropped in as part of our walk on a Saturday morning. We had a drink only and it was good. Sitting out on the old platform in the sunshine was lovely. Loads of space as well. We'll drop in again.

We had eaten here before lockdown and were impressed with the welcome, cleanliness and quality of our food. During lockdown we have had sandwiches and meals to heat at home, hot meals to the door all excellent and at a reasonable price. Many thanks to you all for supporting the community and not taking advantage as so many establishments have done during this difficult time. You are a credit to the area.

I had breakfast here recently on the recommendation of a friend. It was cheap, and it's a good job that it was or it would have been one star. The room was cold, so was the food, and so was the attitude of the staff. It started off with a mug of tea filled to the brim so there was no room to put the milk in. The full English was just about okay but cold. Oh well, we live and learn.

Visited here with a group of 10 friends for their Christmas lunch. Plenty choice of starters, mains and desserts. This was my first visit and I was really impressed. The room was decorated well with little trees on the table , crackers and garlands all around. The food was hot and cooked fresh, the Christmas dinner had veg that was good to eat and not (as is often the case in some places) boiled to a soft mush, crispy roast potatoes roasted parsnips, creamy mash, six vegetables and a fabulous Yorkshire pudding. The service couldn't be better, they couldn't do enough to ensure we had a great time. Their normal menu has a good variety of choices- breakfasts, sandwiches and mains all at reasonable prices. Well worth a visit.

We were advised by the station master that there was a cafe on route so stopped whilst the train made a u-turn. I was hugely impressed with the menu and price. We ordered a hot chicken sandwich. The roast chicken was cooked to perfection with moist stuffing. Half an hour was exactly the time we needed to have a cuppa and lunch before the train returned. We will be back!

Stopped off here for lunch with a couple of friends when walking round Chasewater Lake. We all really enjoyed our food and staff were friendly. My father in law loves to visit as the hot meals are excellent and such good value for money. Not posh, just good hearty grub.

My sister and I decided to try out this cafe as she had received a flyer through her door. It has recently changed hands, and certainly not for the better. I have never had such a disgusting meal in my life! There were 2 other couples eating in there, and all 6 of us left most of the food on our plates. The floor was filthy and the cutlery needed a good wipe before we could use it. My sister had fish and chips. The fish was so greasy it made her feel sick, and the chips were not properly cooked, they were hard. I had ordered beef curry and what was served looked like a rather thin veg stew with 2 small lumps of meat. It was otherwise all potato and carrot. It tasted nothing like curry, all it tasted of was cloves. Absolutely foul. No wonder they wanted paying for the food up front! It's a great pity as Chasewater is a lovely place to visit, but if you are planning a trip there, I would strongly recommend taking your own picnic.

Lichfield Costa on eastern avenue , the last few times I have been here, most of the servers are so rude, just no need . You can’t hear them through the speaker either so it makes it even more hard work

I visited the new Harborne (Birmingham) branch, and opted for a takeaway. We had the Wingers Feast Bowl, a side order of coleslaw, and six wings with bbq sauce. The wings were delicious, however the extra coleslaw was quite a small portion and not worth the money. The wingers feast bowl was a big disappointment. The salad - which was only rocket, and the coleslaw were both warm because the chips and chicken tenders were just dumped on top of them. I couldn't eat the chips as they were absolutely covered in chip sauce (which was really nice tbf) and what I appeared to be chilli powder. It made the chips hot and spicy - which I simply can't eat. The chicken tenders were also covered in chilli powder, which also made them too spicy for me to eat; and I'd specifically chose the garlic and parmesan sauce as I can't eat spicy food. I ended up throwing the chips and the chicken away. My advice, if you don't like spicy food, would be to specifically ask them not to put chilli powder on the food, and also ask them to go easy on the sauce as my chips were just a soggy mess. Like I said though, the wings didn't have any spice on them - just the bbq sauce, and were lovely.

Food was delivered all cold and soggy. Pizza lacked toppings and sauces. Apart from that, we both had really bad stomach ache. Possibly a food safety/quality or hygiene issue. Only thing from my whole order was the coke no sugar, which obviously was not made by this store.

I had a chicken fajita burger but the bun was burnt, the chicken burger itself was delicious shame about the bun.
