A lovely walk to a great pub with an awesome beer garden. Nothing better in a nice day. Beer is superb , with a selection usually and staff are great.

Arrived with a party of 5 12:10 25/7. Not open. Off else where obviously What is the point of a web site ?

First time visiting and won't be the last, great atmosphere with fantastic helpful friendly staff, great outdoor garden with plenty of tables and seating. Very charming interior, relaxing. I really recommend a visit 👌👍

Friendly place with talkative locals, lovely landlord and excellent beer at great prices. Pedigree and Tribute yesterday. Good choice of bar snacks and if you’re hungry there’s a nice chip shop next door. Happy days!

Cosy pub, good beer,lovely garden by the canal.Spoiled only by the gang of regulars hogging the bar who only moved begrudgingly to let me near when I reached over their shoulders to plonk my empty glasses down.

Good selection of beers and other drinks friendly and pleasant staff

Despite the website saying bar food and games room, we were told they don't do food and there was no pool table. When leaving one of the regulars commented asking if the games room was shut to everyone. Seems your face has to fit to receive service here.

Only a casual drink, so no food. Staff were friendly as we're the locals, lovely welcoming log burner. Great canalside outside area. Will definitely be returning.

We visited this pub after mooring up our boat here, at first it was lovely, a chap called Charlie was behind the bar and was very polite and welcoming however after a hour or so he finished his shift and handed over to some lady… my partner went in to purchase another drink for us both however she was upfront and rude towards her and had the audacity to ask for ID when she is (31) years old. I understand the rules around ID however their is line and just because she felt like it she did it. Will never visit this crooked old run down place again.

Lovely old fashioned pub with very friendly staff. The pub stands right next to a canal with a big outside seating area with big car park . Been passing the pub on way to Stafford for a long time and so glad we finally visited and will definitely be going back again

This is a pub ......we don't sell coffee!! Understand its a pub pal but pubs ...especially one that welcome dogs 💯 of the time sell coffee......the was attitude with the answer too!! Glad it's just a PUB as I don't drink alcohol....so won't ever have to go there again .....if you ONLY drink alcohol then this Is the place ....but want a coffee and well .....ITS A PUB 👍🏻....last time I went into a weatherspoons....which I believe is a PUB ....I got a coffee ☕️ 😌

Great pub by the canal, moored up here in our narrowboat at the visitor moorings for the night. The beer was spot on and they had a good selection of bar snacks. The locals were very friendly and one of them bought us a round which was very kind of him. Kids are welcome in the pub but not in the main bar room which is common in many pubs. Would definitely visit again when next passing by.

Great place. Really friendly hosts. Doesn’t do hot food, but you can get food from the chip shop next door and eat it in the garden. Great range of beers, including alcohol free. Plenty of outdoor seating. Definitely be back.

Only stopped in for a quick pint with my dad, we were out cycling along the canal and fancied some refreshments. Staff were friendly and theres a nice little beer garden with views of the canal.

Visited for a quick drink. Friend has a ham baguette which had lively thick ham and salad. Nice place.

A lovely friendly canal side bar. Customers and staff were very friendly. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. Only down side was there was no hot food being served. But I will return. Thank you.

Great for a hot summers evening sitting in the garden overlooking the canal, don't do food at the moment but there is a good chip shop just up the road, if you ask for permission they will let you eat at the outside tables. Very friendly staff, would definitely recommend.

me and the missus go here about once a fortnight. we go to the chippy next door, grab fish and chips then sit and eat it in the beer garden with a pint as we overlook the canal. the staff are really friendly, its our new little spot.

Very nice pub on the canal bank, my partner and I had a nice cold lager and lager shandy. We would be happy to revisit this place again. Warm and friendly bar staff, helpful and attentive service.

Nice to pop out for a pint on a excellent sunny afternoon,sat outside as per covid rules,served quickly and politely as possible,beer was spot on 👌

Unfriendly, spoke to the barmaid about getting a drink. She ask us to find a table in the garden and someone would come out. No one came for our order yet locals we coming out with drinks. So we left after 20 minutes. Wont go back

Under new management. Lovely pub and clientele. New management Louise and dave are very welcoming and friendly. They've got sky sports so hubby could watch the footie and they've got jukebox with lots of choice. Definitely recommend

Biker night Thursday. £2 for a cup of tea. !!!!. Not even in the till in a glass nearby. At least the Blyth gives theirs to charity and you can refill as many times as you want. Good for those not wanting to drink drive.....Will I go again....NO

I’m sure it’s a very nice pub but I shouldn’t have to listen to it’s music blasting out across the canal for the whole evening, until past 11pm...........

Relatively new owners so still making improvements and establishing what locals and passing trade want.
