Questionable music (last Friday night around 8-9.30?) but good beer and atmosphere

Very busy on a Saturday evening. Nice old small pub, in the traditional style. Bit noisy with loud music which was a shame because it was difficult to hear yourself talking... Quite a few nooks and crannies to sit in, but can't escape the noise. Fairly good choice on the bar, assuming you can get to it...

Nice drinks venue to catch up with friends and listen to a live band

Love this pub they serve pork pies and sausage rolls and and a super selection of beers. Always stop in for a drink.

Live band Friday & open microphone on Thursday. Atmosphere was excellent both nights.

Arranged to meet up with my son and daughter in law today for lunch in Lichfield. We visited the Angel and were amazed to be told that we could bring in our dogs but that our 3 month old grandchild could not come in. Absolutely Jaw-dropping!

Mainly bar snacks but pork pies are really nice. Staff are friendly and a great walk for us round town.

Great little pub. Best cheeseboard ever. No TV ( bonus when trying to avoid Euros), no under 18s in the bar. Drinks well priced, Great choice of local real ales.

Great pint of exceptionally kept beer. Can't comment on food as did not purchase but what I saw looked fab.

The Angel has been our favourite pub for the last 7 years, it's interior is welcoming but simple and stylish. Toilets clean . Staff are always friendly and helpful and engaging. I had a small gathering of friends for my husband's birthday last night and Leanne did the most fabulous buffet I'd seen. Food quality is excellent and plentiful. We had a variety of sandwiches, sausage rolls, most amazing scotch eggs, cheese and biscuits (we love their cheese board platters anyway), crisps, sausage rolls,an array of spicy oriental parcels, spring rolls. There was loads of food. I also had a gluten free platter which was amazing. Service was excellent from planning and organising it to delivery on the evening and leaving the pub (with plenty of food to take home!) I love everything about this pub but especially the staff, fabulous selection of Ale and gins and all-sorts. They have top quality porkpies, scotch eggs and variety of cheeses presented beautifully. Thank you for an amazing night.

Top pub. Very attractive interior. Excellent beer choice and quality. Friendly and helpful staff.

Watched several people walk to the bar and shout they were next (they weren’t) and get served. Very frustrating. Drinks weren’t cheap and I waited close to twenty minutes to be seen. Maybe I should’ve been brash and noisy... Rule one of being a server at a bar is keeping an eye on who’s next and they failed… oh well. Zero value for money and the door personnel wouldn’t let a friend back in 15 minutes before last orders as they were on a power trip. Shambles of a bar. Plenty of better ones in Lichfield. Won’t return.

Drink here fairly regularly, blue moon on tap is always a winner. Cosy little bar with good music and good selection of alcohol, definitely treat yourself to a sausage roll whilst you're here.

Our Bucket Brigade tour of Lichfield had begun. Our quest, was to find the best real ale pub in Lichfield and we had 11, earmarked for our judging. The Angel Inn is near the top of our list. A great atmosphere to sup a beer, chat with friends and locals akin. Service was brilliant, warm and friendly. We departed on our tour but strangely enough, as the day and evening wore on, we were drawn back to the Angel. The evening crowd, bubbled with the atmosphere that pulsated through the Angel. We loved this Inn and I'm sure we'll be back with the rest of the Bucket Brigade, if they're not too famous by then that is.

Disgusting management laughed in my face when popped out for a cigarette staff was very rude and told us to get out when complained of are drinks being taken, 2 full bottles of wine and plenty more pints of larger, would not recommended the manager was rude and took are drinks after being outside less then 5 min

Great live music on the weekends, excellent homemade sausage rolls and a brilliant selection of Joules beers! Particularly fond of the "Bodega Bay" est coast IPA, excellent carbonated pale with a citrus twist!

We went in for drinks on a day out with friends it was busy and buzzing great atmosphere Saturday tea time.beers were good the two men said one had a lager one had Guinness.

Always a great night at the angel at the weekend, with either A DJ or a band to entertain. Not the biggest pub and can be a bit snug, but good beer, some good snacks like pork pie, sausage rolls etc. And good service.

I was lichfield just for visit my dentist and wanted to have little fun in there town. So I found here really warm and nice with a cup of perfect cappuccino. The smoking area was so beautiful.

What a wonderful place the Staff are so welcoming and always with a smile we had the cheese board and pork pie and wow could not fault it.. perfect

Located in Litchfield town centre, this cosy little drinkers pub has a great vibe. Good ales and snacks available. We found it to be a good meeting place for a drink and chat with friends. It's the sort of place you go in for a pint and end up coming out hours later as you don't want to leave the cosy atmosphere.
