The Stag's Head in Brighton and Hove

Me encontré con mis amigos el sábado por la noche, entré y el bar estaba muy ocupado y nadie se movió para que yo pudiera ir al bar a pedir una bebida, el personal del bar es muy encantador, pero siento que el pub se ha ido en los últimos 6 meses, siempre fue tan amable y simpático, ¡no sé lo que sucedió! Salieron corriendo de Pinot y el propietario le dijo que ¡oh bien! ! Seguramente no es la manera de tratar a un cliente que paga, y ¿cómo puede un pb quedarse sin vino blanco, preferiría usar el George de al lado?

Este pub es hermoso desde el exterior, y el interior interior es encantador. . . . sin embargo, a menos que sea un habitual, no espere ningún tipo de servicio amable decente aquí. Tanto el personal del bar como el grupo de personas de pie alrededor del bar nos miraban y gritaban groseramente.

¡Qué pub tan ruidoso es este! Demasiados pubs se han mudado tan lejos de ser un pub, ¡es genial encontrar uno bueno! El personal del bar y el propietario son encantadores y realmente conocen su oficio. Gran selección de ale real, una excelente pinta de Guinness y mucha variedad desde la óptica del espíritu. ¡Definitivamente regresaré muy pronto! ! !

La primera vez en 20 años y quedé impresionado con el pub. Está bien diseñado buen servicio y buena cerveza. Buen ambiente.

Yo organizó para conocer amigos aquí pues debido a estar en la zona. No había estado en este lugar en concreto para alrededor de 15 años. Yo estaba muy contento de ver que ha cambiado considerablemente para mejor. El personal era muy amable y hablador. Había 3 cervezas en la bomba, incluyendo Harvey's, que estaba bien cuidado. Mis amigos son clientes habituales y cambiar una buena cantidad de bromas alegres con el personal, que fueron poniendo las decoraciones de navidad. Según mis amigos, hay frecuentes eventos de música. En general, un acogedor pub local. Una pequeña queja es que, durante la semana, cierran 3, que no bastante desalentaron la ocasión

Great pub with lovely locals not full of young ones being loud! Quiet places to chill and if you book they do a Fantastic roast on Sundays. Could do with some work to make the beer garden a nicer place to sit but generally a good little pub.

Lovely roast dinner, but check before hand as sometimes the kitchen is closed, they only do food on a Sunday. Well worth a visit though. Lovely welcoming pub with a great selection of Beers and spirits, also great music some weekends.

Lovely welcoming pub in the heart of Portslade Old village. Recently under new ownership, the place has been transformed. Good selection of beers, with regular guest ales. Food is only availiable on Sundays, but the meals are good and reasonably priced. The beer garden could do with a makeover, but is still nice to sit in, a real suntrap. We often visit with kids, who are more than welcome.

Was really sad when the kitchen closed because it had been good. So, really pleased to see that the Stag's kitchen is up and running again. Sunday roasts are excellent and the staff are really friendly - a good atmosphere, will certainly make it a regular stop!

I went to the Stag's Head on a Sunday afternoon with my partner we tried the Sunday Roast and it was amazing! It was as good as it looked, ample portions of beef, potatoes, carrots, coliflower with cheese...It was delicious! I'll go back to try the chicken or lamb! Fantastic service too.

I can't believe this place seems to have closed - visited a couple of times and the food was brilliant. The new owners appeared to be doing such a good job and Sunday lunch times were really busy. A good price and close to home. Such a shame!

Anyone know what's happened? Pub all shut up and lights off tonight, a Friday and Halloween! Does this have something to do with the kitchen being closed a few weeks ago? Real shame if the new owners have gone already, as it was really good and I am surprised if they weren't making a profit on it. Facebook page seems to have gone, can't find any news about it anywhere!

Absolutely love the Stag. A proper pub with character and charm. The staff are always welcoming, friendly and on the ball as are the clientelle for that matter and if you want great food at very reasonable prices then this is your place.

5th visit today and I'm pleased to say it's still great. I've tried all the roast except the veggie option and all have been very tasty. But there is only one choice for me. The beef brisket is just gorgeous. Ample portion to leave room for a little dessert. Yummy chocolate brownie today. I've paid a lot more for roasts in Hove that don't come close to this. The old Stags head pub has thankfully changed a lot over the last few months and a large part of this is that the food menu has started bringing in a very different crowd and new faces. Martin (chef) and Kelly (waitressing) are great hosts. I'm just waiting for the next Steak and Lobster night now!

After hearing about the amazing food over at the stag, myself and my girlfriend paid a visit. We both had the Beef brisket and was blown away by the taste of the food. We were kindly offered the pork to sample also. The Chef paid us a visit and showed the customers that they were welcome, we felt right at home. After cleaning both of our plates, we went for the apple pie for desert. Amazing service and top quality food.

First time at The Stag and was very pleasantly surprised by the low prices on the menu. I opted for the chilli with Nachos and was not disappointed! The brisket had been slow cooked for hours and made for the most tender and flavoursome chilli I had had in a very long time. Pudding was a delicious bowl of honeycomb ice cream which I never wanted to end. A fab little pub with a welcoming atmosphere and very friendly staff. Looking forward to trying the famous Sunday roast next!

Slow roast beef brisket with all the delicious trimmings, stuffing, Yorkshire, roast parsnip mmmmmmmm! Even braised red cabbage. Delicious, can't wait to go back!My 2 children cleared their plates too.Generous portions and a great price.

This is a much improved pub in recent times. Friendly people. They have recently introduced a food menu. We tried the chilli, which to the credit of the enthusiastic chef was well presented and tasted good. Would have been happy to pay a bit more for a larger portion.Please continue to make improvements as it would be great to have a nice local.

Really good quality food, reasonbly priced, cooked to perfection. Without a doubt the best Sunday Roast Ive eaten in a long time. Have tried the Monday to Saturday menu too and havent been disappointed, highly recommended!Portslades hidden gem!

The kitchen is super tasty new addition to this lovely local pub serving fantastic pub grub, a real hidden gem
