Popped in for lunch. Quiche was good. Would have preferred a few more leaves instead of pasta salad with it. Disappointingly, the coffee didn't taste of much.

Good place to sit/eat/coffee in Woodingdean. Food selection may be limited at times compared to the menu but the food is good ime. Relaxed ambience.

Our car broke down and it was freezing cold in the garage next door. The lovely lady in the shop made us hot drinks and let us have use of their bathroom. And at the end of the day brought us a sandwich o t and a bowl of water for our dog. I wish more people were like her in this world

Whilst cycling, we popped in here for 2 large coffees and a slice of almond cake. All very delicious and reasonably priced.

Visited here for the first time and was impressed myself and my friend had quiche and a pot of tea. Lovely quiche served with a side salad very flavoursome . Sold lots of goodies and took home sausage rolls and bread which were also tasty Would visit again

We were looking for somewhere en route to Eastbourne when we saw this place, so we parked in a side street. It was 1.30 on a Saturday, but the cafe wasn't busy, so we were served promptly. We ordered a toast with avocado and feta plus another with mushrooms and goats cheese. One plate arrived a few minutes before the other. Both came with a rocket and sun dried tomato salad and were very tasty. The cappuccino was excellent, but the tea came with the bag still in and nowhere to put the bag. We were in a rush, so didn't have time to try the good looking cakes (fewer nuts would be better too)! The music was a bit loud. Excellent value at £4.75 per plate.

The venue for my celebration uses Circa deli as default so not quite sure what to expect. I was however pleasantly impressed. We chose the hot food menu with a few additions on top. The cost was per person and there was plenty to go round. Value for money was good. Would recommend them and use again .

Stopped by for a cuppa, ended up having lunch as looked so yummy! Will definitely recommend to others and visit for a bite to eat when in the area!

Stopped here and had a parma ham,cheese and spinach toastie. Very nice indeed. Good outside seating which is south facing so enjoyed not only delicious food but warm autumn sunshine.

Prompt service and delicious coffee and cake (Orange and chocolate). Highly recommend. Was wet so ate indoors. Very clean.

Have drove past this Deli numerous times whilst working in the area. Finally managed to visit the Deli. The food was beautiful, generous portions and yummy cakes. All fresh and well presented. Great selection of alternative milks too. Outside and inside tables too. Highly recommend will visit again.

Popped in to this lovely cafe and deli just after camping at Chalky Downs. A few friends and I stopped for amazing toasted brie, bacon and cranberry sauce sandwiches. Coffees were great too.

Ordered Sunday roast takeaway for Valentines day. Excelent preparation, and instructions and cooked up to a beautiful meal. Great slice of pork belly as well. Just like their in house meals (before covid) great value for money

Normally not a fan of takeaway as the food is invariably compromised in transit, the quality of Circa Deli Sunday Lunch is astounding. Prepared and packaged to be finished at home before eating, this service takes eating at home pre-prepared food to a completely new and exhilerating level. The transit box comes with ingredients for the perfect Sunday Roast separately packaged to maintain quality together with simple and easy to follow instructions. Obviously, you need an oven and a microwave helps, but within 20-minutes the ingredients had transformed into a gourmet Sunday meal and the further joy is that there is no major washing-up to do! I am a total convert to this simple and easy takeaway. I cannot recommend it more highly.

Wow!! These roast dinners are amazing! So quick and easy to cook once home too - only took about 15 minutes! The flavours and attention to detail were outstanding with beautiful garnish and the crispiest roast spuds I’ve had! My kids absolutely loved them too and it was great that we could all choose different meats to suit our own taste! The cocktails are super gorgeous too! A total find!!! Highly recommend! Liz

Spectacular finish at home roast, thank you! This was one of the best roasts we have ever had. The plates show 1 portion shared between 2 so that we can have the same again tomorrow. All the instructions were clear and easy to follow. Took a total of 30mins (we put the pork under the grill for the last few minutes to really crisp up). The good bits: roast pork, roast potatoes, yorkies and veg seasoned to perfection. The gravy was so rich and meaty. The cauliflower cheese, pigs in blankets and stuffing were so delicious and the perfect compliment to it all. The bad bits: absolutely nothing! I cannot recommend this roast highly enough. Please carry on doing these after lockdown 🙏😊

I ordered 2 roast chicken lunches and 2 puddings. Circa Deli is easy to find about 200m past the auction house on Warren Road and before the petrol station. There is parking either out front or in the side street. The food was boxed ready for collection with precise instruction on how to warm it through. The chicken was very tender and beautifully seasoned with a herb jus. There was a large selection of vegetables and all were cooked perfectly. I particularly liked the roast carrots, parsnips and cauliflower cheese. The meal comes with a tasty gravy .I'm not a big eater but there is sufficient for another full serving left for my wife and me. We chose the orange and chocolate bread and butter pudding a sticky toffee pudding. The bread and butter pudding was quite the best I have ever tasted with a yummy orangey custard sauce . My wife cleaned her plate and loved the syrup sauce with the toffee pudding. We will be back.

I had a nice coffee but the pastry I had was not very fresh at all. It was so hard I had to dunk it in my coffee, no wheelchair access that I could see. Staff not very welcoming this morning. So not that amazing. Also the chairs are very uncomfortable

Dogs given a warm welcome. Very tasty, homemade food, the soup is delicious. Definitely go again.

Firstly the positives, food is good and drinks are also good. We visited midweek at 1400ish, when the café was quiet. The waitress was in a bad mood. After giving my wife an incorrect order, she then moaned about my wife loudly enough that the whole café could hear. When the waitress delivered the correct order she slammed it on the table and didn't apologise. Our friends had a similar encounter, with a member of staff in a bad mood a few weeks before. Disappointing!

Great little independent establishment. Busy at lunchtimes, friendly welcome and always some good vegetarian options on the menu. A stones throw from the Nuffield Hospital, if you're visiting and looking for a light lunch this is ideal.

Had a wonderful evening at Circa Deli where we attended a wine and cheese evening. The interior is lovely and really stylish and the service was five star. Sam and Jaz the hosts were very welcoming and extremely professional, telling us about the cheeses and wine. I was particularly impressed with the emphasis on using locally sourced produce, I didn't even know Brighton Blue existed. It was delicious. All in all a great evening and would highly recommend. Many thanks to all the team.

We had a great time at the Circa Deli pop up night, locally sourced cheese and chutneys, beautifully presented in generous portions. The atmosphere was ambient friendly and relaxed. Staff were excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed this evening.

Food is delicious, the atmosphere is really great, very polite staff but service is a bit poor... In three of the nine orders me and my colleagues placed there were things missing and two were very much delayed from the others. Lacking a bit of organisation and promptness doing things.

Over priced here. Some nice ideas but not the best quality. Toasted sandwich one slice of ham over £4 . Service usually quite unprofessional. Could tell you most of the staffs personal problems as they air them quite loudly . Coffee often burned.

Food is great! Service is too slow. It’s busy because the food is fantastic but the set up takes too long.

The food and drinks are lovely and the staff polite and cheery. The lighting is pretty. The only reason I have scored three is the noise. For some reason it's really echoy and the music too loud to enjoy conversation.

We overshot the car park for the races. It didn’t matter. We were early anyway. Assuming that there was bound to be civilisation and somewhere to turn the car around over the hill we carried on, boldly. Like Scott of the Antarctic or one of the captains out of Star Trek (probably to one who did the spoken-word “Rocket Man” cover).

Reluctantly came back to Circa as my client asked to meet here and although the food was an improvement the service was sadly not. It seems at key times of the day the low level of staff are drawn to deal with the takeaway customers leaving the eat in customers with no service whatsoever. It's clear that their event work subsidizes their restaurant sales which without it would certainly not survive. Very very poor all round.

This is our local coffee shop/deli and we are so lucky it's near us. They do amazing coffee, cakes, sandwiches, artisinal breads, craft beer, gelato, incredible cheeses and much more. A trip to Woodingdean and beyond won't be complete without popping in here.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's great for a quick lunch. The veggie options are nice. Convenient and friendly.
