A lovely pub and the barman was pleasant to chat with at teatime on a Sunday evening .

Came in for a cheeky pint or 2 and well what can i say the member of staff on the bar (sarah) was amazing. Even went the extra mile and gave us table service. Will recommend this place to people and will certainly be coming back

well you can't go for a wee before ordering drinks otherwise a short blonde woman will beef you and chase you around the bar after you've been to the loo, when your trying to find the 'quieter' area to be served And now the people think they can read minds and tell you what you were doing. Think your in the wrong industry if that's your new talent love

Came to The Stage for some drinks with friends and the bald bearded bartender was very cold and dismissive. We went back up the bar to ask for a glass for our bottles of ciders where he then slammed a dirty used coffee mug on the bar and walked off whilst other staff members laughed at it. L bar, grumpy, rude bar staff👎

Cracking lively fun with great songs in the centre of Nottingham. Great songs and perfect place to have a fun night with friends.

Loved this great place, so different and full of atmosphere. When we return to Nottingham we shall definitely be going there again.

When we used to visit Nottingham regularly with work, the Stage was our local pub so, coming back for a reunion, it was a place we had to revisit. It hasn’t changed at all and is still a cracking, ordinary, traditional pub. The service is still very good, as were our drinks. It was nice to be back.

Honestly a great night. Bar staff friendly, dj brilliant. First time on a night out in Nottingham, found this little gem first and didn’t leave. Definitely reminded me of our pub at home!

Popped in to the stage before a gig at Rock City recently. Even though the young man behind the bar was on his own and rushed of his feet, he still made time for us (and everyone else!). Service with a smile. Lovely traditional pub vibe with good music and cosy seating. Will definitely visit again on our next visit to Nottingham!

I liked this place ,such a nice atmosphere and staff , both customers and the staff was great , 10/10 The toilet was spotless and I easily could have stayed in this classic British pub all day but sadly we had to go , Loved it and will be coming again !

Nice traditional style pub, almost like a locals pub, but in town. Was pretty busy at the time I was there Saturday late afternoon. Good atmosphere, groups and couples, most with a bit of maturity 🙂 Overall well recommended, typical prices for Nottingham area, enjoy!

Bustling, popular with the after office suited guys.Well-humoured clientele which was a pleasure to visit (asides from the inability to find standing space for a small group of us).

It's a bit of a dated pub. They have a changed the dj on a Friday now so it's not the same atmosphere.

This pub caters for a wide spectrum of people. It’s been my local for several years now. Great atmosphere and staff!

I had a horrendous experience at your establishment. Your staff member was incredibly rude he shouted at me and called me a daft **** cow and made me feel incredibly uncomfortable- he waited until my partner had left to shout this at me which was really intimidating. Your establishment looks to be a nice place to have a drink but I will never come here again due to my experience.

Lost the old stage door atmosphere, landlord is rude , but barmaids are great and helpful and fun Music is poor and DJ poor and behind on the music, went on a Thursday night full of rif raf, 3 crowns over the road is the place to go

Wonderful atmosphere and a good pint

I'm giving zero stars due to the rude bar tender. The pub was busy as I walked in the bar tender said to me can I help you with attitude in her voice even though there was people waiting at the bar. She said it like I wasn't welcome. I only went in as I needed the toilet as I am pregnant. I said to her I just need the toilet she replied saying with attitude as she walked off "the toilet is for customers only" I'm wondering if she didn't like the colour of my skin as I was the only black person in there because on my way out people that were walking in she said nothing to them. Absolutely disgusting and shocking.

Wir haben dort sehr gut gefeiert, jedoch wollte der Wirt uns am 2. Abend keine Getränke verkaufen, da angeblich Gläser mitgenommen wurden. Wir waren hier bestimmt 60 Leute, wo normalerweise in der Woche nur 8 da sind und haben richtig Umsatz gemacht. Echt frech!

Barmaid was bit rude kept asking for my money when I hadn't finished ordering

Sunday afternoon visit. Bar was almost empty. Rude & unwelcoming bar tender. Ordered a rum & coke & a hot drink. To which he replied No! No hot drinks available. Had a feeling he didn't want to put himself out providing hot drinks from the machine. Will take our custom elsewhere in future. Plenty of friendlier places in the area.

Really surprised at how nice this pub was, everywhere was clean n tidy, very friendly n helpful bar staff and we visited at different times so obviously different staff. Will definitely visit again.

Had a blast in here dj was brilliant.

Thanks to Kim, the Manageress, we had a brilliant hour waiting for the bus to Derby. Why was it brilliant? Well, despite not having heard of the band, when requested, she removed the bland background music and put SLF over the speakers. Having just seen a great gig by Stiff Little Fingers, this was a perfect sound track for that last pint before heading home. Nice one Kim.

Good range of drinks, good prices, great central location, bit rough around the edges but always worth a visit on a night out. Staff need a bit of a customer service training, but it doesn't detract from the night

Nice pub, just opposite the stage door of the theatre. Good selection of beers wines and spirits. What more could you want.

Very rude Owner, sat at our seats for less than five minutes, the owner came over asking if he could help us in a sarcastic voice, because we didn't order drinks quick enough for him. At the bar when ordering drinks 2 cokes, he said 'is that it?'. Very rude avoid at at costs Bald and had a white shirt on. Made us very uncomfortable and was very rude.

Went in on a quiet Monday night as theatre staff. Staff member was nice and friendly with reasonably priced drinks and nice atmosphere.

Lively, busy with a good atmosphere.

A women opened the door through the back my group entered to then get shouted at to go round the other side. As a new customer i felt unwanted but we found the other side went through the door staff were lovey as we went in I walked towards the toilets to then be told I can’t use the toilets unless o buy a drink first by the same women that shouted at me for going through the wrong door. It was a short women with a long blonde bob, did not feel comfortable or welcomed left after one drink.

The main reason a group of us went was because the website had a great menu and looked reasonable, as a few of us wanted to eat BUT we got there and were told the stopped doing food during the pandemic and haven't done it since. This was a bit of a shock as the website really centres around the the fact that they do food - the front page is one of their dishes!!! We had one drink and moved on. Reasonable pub though and good music, but they really do need to update their website!!!
