Great place to go and meet friendly people who just love to sing a long to the karaoke on a Saturday afternoon. Great atmosphere and the music brings everyone together. Friendly people and a great atmosphere .

Didn't have food.so can't rate , really good service and atmosphere. Reasonably priced drinks and a friendly clientele

The pub used to be a descent pub.being a big lad .the land lady literally told me I took up to much space and turned nasty to my disabled wife because she wasn't interested in buying tickets

Stag party went home so I went in on my own. Everyone really friendly and great atmosphere for a Tuesday. Cheap drinks, I think my bitters were 2.40. I did a couple of karaoke songs and got a great reception. Will be back when I do go to Doncaster again. :-)

Turned up on karaoke night, so everyone was drunk. Bar staff made me and my brother remove our hats while we were stood at the bar, even though 25% of the clientèle were wearing them. Rude, probably won't return again.

The most unwelcoming barman works here if your not a known face to him he is cold, congratulations bar man you got the pub a one star from me.

Found this great pub just before we left Doncaster.Amazing old ,friendly ,superbly run hostelry well patronised and well worth a return visit.

I was going to say one of the best pubs in Doncaster but absolutely it is the best pub in Doncaster without no doubt I love going there

Decent boozer tucked away from the main streets. Got a vast selection and staff where spot on

Very bad staff manager abusive to customers and staff , she would never win a customer service badge . More people avoid the Staff of life than go in it because of her , Having said that there is some amazing bar staff and DJs to attract people in to the pub who have their following take them away the staff would close .

A very pleasant pub with of the feel of a local but in the town centre. Nice, clean and excellent bar staff with good value for money. The landlady is no nonsense and this ensures a friendly well run pub.

It has gone back to one of the best pubs in Doncaster. Hopefully get the turns and karaoke back soon. Staff are always friendly

Easy access and one floor for so more interesting to chat or people watching close to Bus,Train &taxis open karaoke on most weekends and entertainment two or three afternoons per week. Prices to beat all so drop in for a drop or two.

Went here with a friend for a beer on Sat, had a good time, nice and friendly. Staff seem very switched on, they take card payment, I'd recommend this pub!

We have had some fantastic nights at Saturdays karaoke. However we went in last Saturday during the gay pride festivities and ordered our drinks as usual, we were then charged £5 more then we usually do!!! When we questioned this we were told pay it or leave. Now a quid or so difference you wouldn't question but £5. Don't like being ripped off, I wonder how many other people this happened to.

Horrible, beer not good plus atmosphere if your not known is bad, a bit like a wild west saloon. There are better pubs in other towns.

A welcoming pub with the atmosphere of a village inn! Well recomend when you're in town.

Nice little boozer, tucked away so can be quiet but the locals always have a blinder on a Friday doing the karaoke. Not bad on drink prices either 👍

We go to the Staff of life every week to see the turn, lovely place, friendly staff, Ben is a lovely bloke, go and see the turn on a sunday☺

Can not remember but it might be in frenchgate if it is then it is really good food and value for money

Ok bit too quiet on a weekend and us at wring side if town to be any busier.
