The Stables Restaurant in Trafford

I had the pleasure off spending the afternoon/evening at wedding reception here. The food was absolutely amazing. The service was excellent. Would recommend to anyone.

I'm.notnone for reviews but Christ almighty, places like this get underestimated. Being a delivery guy, I go many places for food for dinner as you do, but this is by far the best place I've been. 100% would be going again....and again and again. If your passing by, definitely worth stopping.

I am not sure if The Stables in Altricham is still open. I lost my Husband 4 yrs ago & the stables did the outside catering with was very Good

Amazing home made food. Im a big fan of the pies. Prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. Never dissapointed.

Nice food and reasonably priced,considering it is £7 to park if you are not a national Trust member. Food service is very slow and you have to queue for food,then queue for drinks,then queue again to pay! Food was lukewarm by the time we sat down to eat it!

Had lunch there today for the first time - but we will definitely return! Excellent, home cooked food. Highly recommended. Eating area was cold today but it was wet and windy outside.

I've been getting take away lunch from here for over 20 years. The food is all home cooked, from the sandwich ingredients and the soups to the five or six dishes which change each day. Not to mention the cakes (I continue the search to find a better Carrot Cake). Am I biased? Yes - every cafe should be like this. I now live in Aus, but will make excuses to take 10-20 mile detours to come here whenever in UK. It's that good.

Needed to engage a caterer for a funeral party with no idea of numbers - Janet from The Stables was just marvelous - calm, kind and efficient. Everything was organised on two phonecalls. The food (buffet style with finger food) was delicious and plentiful. Everything arrived promptly and all was cleared away afterwards. Very good value for money, too.

4 of us walked in and around the Park from Lymm, by lunchtime we were all hungry so call in The Stables for a meal. Standard queuing for your meal (can get long on busy days) but food is worth waiting for! The Broccoli and Stilton Flan was delicious, as was the Soup, another had the Meat & Potato Pie which went down well. Two of us had the Dunham Pudding, VERY moreish indeed! Not bad value either, considering well cleaned plates & bowls! I recommend and certainly will eat there again!

The Stable Restaurant is the main restaurant at Dunham Massey and was surprisingly good. I say surprisingly because normally such restaurants are quite ordinary but the food here was very good. It was hot, plentiful and tasty and there was a good choice, from drinks and snacks to full meals. However it was quite expensive and despite having a large seating area, it was very busy.
