Ordered the salt and pepper chicken starter with salt and pepper loaded fries - 10/10 it was amazing! My partner had a beef burger and he was highly satisfied too. Service was fast, and as for a bank holiday it was lovely and quiet. Really enjoyed it, thank you! Oh and it's dog friendly!

Amazing food and staff all so friendly and helpful. My dog was very welcome and the chef himself came to say hello and brought him some leftover pieces of meat. He never normally eats anything but chicken but ate the lot and even ate some of our Sunday dinners of lamb and the trimmings. Portions were huge. Will definitely be going again in the near future.

Sunday roast was delicious would highly reccomend!! Everything was delicious. Nice atmosphere and well decorated. Reasonable prices too.

Always visit this pub for my lunch on a Sunday and during the week manager and staff are very nice and helpful. I would highly recommend this place for food and drinks. Stephen lawley

Nice venue. Food is average, sort of like what you get in a Premier Inn restaurant. Very salty. But all cooked ok and service was efficient. Priced accordingly.

Second time we’ve visited recently and absolutely top notch. I had a lamb roast dinner and cauliflower cheese. Both were delicious and I would say the best I’ve ever had out. My husband and son had fish and chips and they were very impressed. Service was very friendly and efficient. We think it’s the best pub food in the area.

First time here won't be our last loved everything about the people and place. The burgers were fantastic some of the best ive ever had.

For a pub hidden in the backwoods of Timperley, it is amazingly busy. Why? The Gardeners has a car park, is clean and welcoming. Initially, you see a full pub with customers chatting, eating, and drinking. There is a great selection of drinks at the bar, three real ales at £3-95 a pint, and I can confirm all are excellently conditioned. The food is very tasty and reasonably priced, especially the steaks. We travel 12 miles to visit the Gardeners regularly. That should convince you to also visit regularly.

Great deal on a Monday night, two for one meals, DELICIOUS cheese and onion pie, massive chips, mushy peas and veggie gravy. Mmmm!

Sadly I didn't witness the gardener or his arms. But I did witness a beautiful pub. Situated in Timperly, with a lovely beer garden. This pub provides lovely drinks and food for friends and family.

Visited with a Groupon deal voucher for four. Had excellent meals with steaks cooked as ordered. Service was also amazing - efficent and prompt without being invasive. One small problem - noticed when we got home that some steak juice had been dripped down the back of my t shirt- just hoping it will come out!!

Disgusting.. arrived for our table booking time and told that the kitchen closed half an hour ago. No apologies !!

Went for a belated birthday meal with family. From start to finish was a great experience! Staff extremely friendly and approachable especially Katie and Poppy 🥰 could not do enough for us and this is what we loved. Food was amazing, so tasty! 1st Time we've been there. A nice pub with good food and lovely service. Will definitely visit again.

Just been in for an early meal, service non existent and food not very good, burger overcooked and chicken flatbread was sodden in sauce. Sat there for over 30 mins with dirty plates still on table, no one asked if food was okay at any point. Seating all ripped and taped up. Very disappointed 😞

This was a casual night out with friends, there was 6 of us and Joanne booked the table, what a nice surprise the meal was lovely, we different meals, I had a chicken Caesar salad which was delicious, the other meals where cod n chips, chicken shawarma, teriyaki chicken noodles, gammon and eggs and a special (so large) cod, fish burger, sausage in batter and chips, all the meals came with appropriate sauces and seasonings everybody commented favourably on the meals, the staff were most attentive and helpful, the decor suited the atmosphere and on the whole the restaurant and bar areas were clean and well maintained, I would definitely recommend The Gardeners Arms,sorry no photos as I don’t use my phone when out in company

The food and service here are AMAZING. We've been a few times and have always had excellent food and service. We went as a family with a small dog. There was plenty of seating around the back which is a bit quieter away from the main bar. The staff are really welcoming and efficient. Would highly recommend the steak dinner special which is locally sourced. Comes with a free starter and pudding!(Thursday night special) Kids meals were also great value and excellent quality. It's great to see a local pub doing so well in the current climate. That's because they've accomplished good customer service with quality pub food. We look forward to returning

Arrived at gardeners arms & was greeted & shown to our table by Jimmy who took our order& promptly brought our drinks & food. We had ordered sirloin steak & trimmings. The steak was excellent, cooked perfectly & tender. Chips were chunky & very good. There were quite a lot of people dining so I would assume they thought the food was good also. All in all excellent food & service. Thanks Jimmy & staff for a very nice meal.

First of all I didn't know it was a dog friendly restaurant. So if you don't want dog hairs flying in your food I wouldn't recommend going here. Honestly it was all a bit too much, they had a man on guitar with a woman singing which was nice but mixed in with kids throwing balloons at people while they are eating and the dogs running around this small establishment I don't know what was worse. Not only that I had a piece of plastic in my roast .. yep that was just the topping on the cake. Won't be returning.

There were 8 people in our group. Food excellent. Service great.Staff pleasant attentive thank you ladies.Little noisey as we had chosen the evening football was on our mistake.However they did turn the sound off in the section we were dining in so all good. Give it a try you won't be disappointed.Will definitely return.

Fish was so over cooked it was incinated. Plates were cold. When we complained we were offered a free drink which was then added to the bill. The room was cold.

Such a sweet and charming place. Had a family luncheon here. The staff were so lovely and kind, the food was tasty and fresh. And the decor was beautiful, loads of windows and seating. A great spot!

Been in here a few times and the food is lovely. The chips are huge and ridiculously tasty, and their soup of the day is always perfect. The staff are really nice and approachable, and the times that we have been in during the early afternoon on a weekday have been really quiet, only a handful of people about inside which is perfect for myself as I don’t like crowds and loud noises!

Just had one of the best pub meals ever. Steak was excellent and beautifully cooked. Servings were more than generous. Service was great.New landlord, credit to Heineken brewery. I will return

We had a great family meal out on Sunday. The front of house team made us feel at home and were attentive. The food was excellent, all of us enjoyed their meals. The Trio roast dinner that I had was well cooked - no dried out Turkey here! Also a shout out for the sticky toffee pudding, very tasty and light! We’ll be back.

Called in for lunch yesterday and took advantage of the Thursday steak offer of a free starter and pudding. Our first time trying the flat iron steak. Great choice as it was absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked, tender and tasty with massive proper chips! The starters and puddings were first class. We both said it was one of the best meals we had had in a long time and a bargain as well. All staff were friendly and welcoming. We can highly recommend.

Had a great Sunday roast, one of the best around. I would book for a Sunday. Not been here in the week, but have heard good reports.

Really enjoy visiting this pub, the food menu changes every few months and there are always good options on it. Comfortable place to eat a meal and the garden is nice in the summer. Very dog friendly and they also look after you well. Dropped in for a meal last night and the manager thought that the salad we ordered wasn’t big enough so brought a second one!

2nd trip, still as awesome as ever! Awesome staff, good range of beers and very good value food. What's not to love?! The steak for £10 was fantastic, highly recommend!!!

It was the first time we had been to the Gardeners Arms for a long time, we were amazed at what had been done, and the food and service were excellent and we had a bonus because it had a stake deal on a Thursday. Also we would like to say a exstra praise 👏 to the Shef ,we are now putting it down to our new place to go

The food is sensational I ordered the king prawn scampi chips and mushy peas extremely fresh and full of flavour the food was delightful and the staff were great too. Very impressed thanks. All the food was good but these chips were something else kudos to the chef

It's such a lovely, vibrant pub. Staff were friendly, fun, caring, and accommodating. They had live music which just added to the atmosphere. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We went with the whole family and had such a great time.

The Gardeners Arms at Timperley is a hidden gem that offers great food and a cozy ambiance. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making you feel at home as soon as you walk in. However, the highlight of the experience is undoubtedly their burgers. They are the best I've ever had from a pub, with succulent meat, fresh ingredients, and a generous portion size. I highly recommend trying their burgers, but be warned, you may not want to go anywhere else for a burger after trying theirs!

Beer and service were really good. Pue was good. Risotto wasnt great and was overcooked but the rest of the food was good and kids loved their nuggets.

Went with a friend on Tuesday night 17th Jan, to try out their fantastic looking menu, it didn't disappoint. Amazing selection for vegetarians and vegans, we were truly spoilt for choice. Service was excellent and staff were very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We had the 3 sharer platter and camebert, salt n pepper cauliflower was delicious. Beetroot wellington and the jackfruit pie lovely, great portions and very tasty. Music was just at the perfect level to hold a conversation. Big plus it Dog friendly. Left full to the brim and very satisfied. Well done

A massive thank you for hosting my mums 80th on Saturday. Chris Nick and all the staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble. We went for hot buffet Chicken Tikka Masalla and Hotpot both were delicious. Would definitely recommend for any occasion🍾🥂

I like the Gardeners Arms a good spot for a pint and some food. The latter however is why I've marked them down I had steak and sweet potato fries. Steak is my absolute favourite and I've never eaten a steak before that I didn't want to finish and the sweet potato's deep fried bit too long for my liking. My recommendation stick to something like a burger and you can't go wrong. Quieter pub but still lively enough with locals, great to watch sport and friendly staff.
