We wanted somewhere child-friendly for a quick lunch before visiting a local museum and this place is ideal! Right next to the river, lovely glass frontage, autumnal sun streaming in. The pizzas are thin-based, so you don't get full on bread. The toppings are unusual - which is a welcome change. We had five adults, a toddler and a baby in our group. The toddler enjoyed his pizza as much as anyone, and even the baby had a go (though more used to semi-liquid food at this stage)! We would definitely recommend!

This is a busy restaurant but we were quickly shown to a table. It’s a bright place and staff always give you a warm welcome. We all ordered the chicken pies which came freshly cooked and piping hot. There is always plenty of chicken in the pies and the chunky wedges are delicious. It’s great to find a place where the staff are so welcoming and the prices are reasonable. We will be back.

After a cold day at Kew Gardens, walking back over Kew Bridge we noticed the Stable. What a relief! Five hungry travellers were welcomed and not only that, it was the Tuesday night deal! An activity sheet with crayons was provided too for each of our girls. The pizzas had a thin and crispy base with great toppings. I had a Billy the Kid (vegetarian) really nice with goats cheese amongst the toppings. Our girls then enjoyed a chocolate brownie and ice cream desert while I had a coffee. Good service and value for money. Pleased, will go there again when visiting Kew.

We've been here a few times. The pizzas have been perfectly OK, and good value - £6.50 - at lunchtime. So we bowl along today, to be told that the lunch menu is now only available via the app. We download the app, navigate the menu, consider the pizza options, and...get timed out. We then go through the rigmarole again, get to the ordering bit, find we have to sign up first and...are timed out again. The nice server was very apologetic, but we leave, catch a bus to Chiswick and go to Franca Manca. Where they have paper menus. With all options listed. And a human being. From whom you can order. Whatever will they think of next?

First, let me say that these guys make the nicest pizzas and, if you're a cider lover, there's an excellent choice, and the service is pretty good. However, I have a feeling that the pizzas are getting smaller for the price. Maybe they should offer 2 sizes as I was ready to attack a second one! I had to have the Kew Stable Mess as a dessert to feel as though I'd had a meal (very tasty it was too). This is not really a place top linger once you've eaten but they still make great tasting pizzas! Oh, and call them if you want to book as I can't find any place on the website to book apart from for their live music or cider tasting.

This was our second visit to this restuarant , the week before it was perfect! Sadly this visit was the polar opposite! It started with the water that was delivered to our table being luke warm, with No ice or lemon or lime in the glasses! Next we had 2 lattes which were tepid, and one mug had a chip in it, so we asked for another 2 , which were replaced ! I ordered the Jerk chicken pizza, and I was shocked how thin it was was, the it was like a cream cracker , and as crispy as one! For £13 I found it extortionate, and it certainly didn’t fill me up, there was nothing to it! My girlfriend had a pie, and stated that the pie was undercooked and the potatoes were reheated! We were not charged for the Lattes and given 10% off as we weren’t able to order on the app ! A very sub par performance from the stable, and I’m not sure that we will visit again!

Visited Friday & Saturday. The Wild Thyme Pie was very nice as was the Totally Tempah & vegan garlic bread + vcheese. Also had the Vegan Greek & Hazelnutter pizzas, (over the two visits !). Nice place to eat outdoors next to Kew Bridge. Nice extra vegan additions to the menu. We ordered by the app. It would be nice to be able to add comments on any requirements via the app as I would prefer a less sweet salad dressing. I have a strong savoury leaning& not keen on v sweet flavours & ?it is very very sweet. Otherwise another 9/10 from us. Nice live music on the Saturday.

When in London, we almost always stay in Brentford, and go exploring for evening meal. On the Thursday, our walk took us towards the Water and Steam museum and then Kew Green, and it was a toss of a coin between The Stable and the Ask on the other side of the river. We chose well. In fact, we enjoyed the food so much that when our other 'favourite' pizza place (in South Ealing) was fully booked on the Saturday evening, we wandered back here for a second helping. In two visits we tried 3 different pizzas, 2 different pies, 1 super salad, 4 different ciders (plus 'tasting' - and discovering!) and soft juice cocktails. We left absolutely nothing on the plates or in the glasses.

We were disappointed with Stable at Kew. The website gives the impression of a buzzy vibrant place to eat and drink with a menu that sounds fresh and varied. Unfortunately, the whole experience just didn't live up to the brand. The restaurant was too brightly lit to create any sort of atmosphere. The whole place was also very dirty, with pizza crumbs all on the seats on and under the tables, with used napkins left on the floor. We had a vegan beetroot pizza which was very average, as well as the chicken, ham and leek pie. The pie came served on a board with 4 wedges, some slaw and a kind of Indian spiced tomato chutney. All of these elements were individually tasty, but it just didn't hold together as one dish. The chutney overpowered the delicate flavor of the pie and there was far too much of it for 4 wedges.

We visited The Stable on a sunny Saturday evening for an impromptu family gathering. The restaurant was reasonably busy, indoors and out, but there didn't seem to be enough staff to accommodate this. There only seemed to be two waiters on duty - one who was friendly and seemed to be doing all the work, the other one who lacked any enthusiasm or friendliness. The shared starter was a tasty cheese and cider dip but there wasn't enough sour dough slices for four of us. We ordered two pizzas and two pies. The pies were deemed fine but there was too much coleslaw and not enough potato wedges. The pizzas were WAY too dry and crispy, with not enough cheese. My 'Aint Half Hot' pizza was far too hot, even for someone with a good tolerance for spiciness. Desserts were nice but on the pricey side, especially the three scoops of partially melted ice cream at £5 a bowl. The machiato coffee was bitter. The bill for four of us came to over £100, which seemed steep considering the quality and quantity of what we had eaten.I was still peckish when I got home. I don't think we will be returning.

I had booked a table but when we got there we had to wait to be seated as they were busy (fair enough) but when we were seated there were no menus on the table and we weren’t given any. We waited for a few minutes expecting someone to come over but no one did so we had to get our own menus. We decided what we wanted to eat and drink and still no one came over to take our order. One of the waiters spoke to a couple of the other tables who already had food but completely ignored us. Eventually a different waiter walked past so we got his attention, he said “one second please” and then never came back. We continued to sit and wait to give them a chance but to no avail, so we got up and left. I’ve been here a couple of times in the past and it was lovely, I hate to be negative but the new staff clearly don’t care about customer service.

We found this place by chance on a Sunday afternoon stroll along the river. A great find in a good location. We stopped in for a cold drink as it was a warm day & after looking at the menu we decided on a deal they offered called "Tasting Menu" which is a variety of ciders, 5 in all, chosen by them. A great idea & a very reasonable price considering the location. So we decided on one each which we later decided was too much for two people but we finished them all nonetheless. We also ordered a pizza & garlic bread. Now I've had flat based pizzas before but this was the thinnest by far but it was tasty & didn't leave us overly stuffed like some pizzas can. The garlic bread however was a bit anaemic in that it was lacking somewhat in garlic & bread. We ate everything though which was probably due to all the cider we'd consumed. The staff were attentive, service was prompt & with a smile. The place itself is clean, nicely laid out & with an outside seating option. The background music choice today was fantastic, old skool reggae artists & wasn't to loud as so you couldn't hear yourself speak as is found in some establishments. Overall we fully enjoyed it & will be returning again soon.

My husband & I booked to come here at the end of a 2 hour Thames walk with our dog that ended up taking a bit longer, I called and they were very gracious. The menus are short but not basic, catering for gluten free & vegan, in addition to the main menu of meat pies and pizzas so I'd feel confident bringing a carnivore here! I would have loved a better choice of sides. The staff are absolutely friendly and welcoming. Brought a bowl for our dog, informed us to order at yhe bar, and then happy to keep a tab open which is always nice. Lost a star as we had to forage our napkins, cutlery, chilli oil from a table inside even after the pizzas arrived. Also no lager for 1 hour, to be fair it's a cider bar really! Pizzas are very thin crust, did not taste or feel sourdough-y (like (Franco Manca, for example) but toppings very generous and right to the edge. Tap water is help yourself near the bar, handy to know. Would visit again to work my way through that vegan menu of pizzas and salads!

Found this place by accident when exploring the area near our hotel. Arrived at 8.50pm to be told the kitchen shut in 10 mins, but they seated us and were friendly. Food arrived and was amazing. I had the Steak Pie :-) it was hot and full of large pieces of steak with mushrooms. Never had a pie without gravy, but will in the future.

Whilst there was nothing really wrong with this restaurant I came away feeling really disappointed. The pie itself had a nice taste but to be honest it's a little dry without any gravy - what pie place doesn't serve any gravy?! And no mustards or horseradish etc. I found the chutney a bit sweet but there was no alternative (other than ketchup). I won't be hurrying back.

So, we don't live in London. We live in Somerset the next county on from where The Stables started. It was my first visit to any of them. We were in London to watch the rugby and my sister and her partner live in London, along Kew Bridge so we thought it would be the perfect place to go for dinner with everyone, so my sister booked a table for 9:30 as that was the latest we could book, according to their website they're open until 11pm. So anyway, we where running late as we left Somerset at 6, it's takes 2-3 hours to get there, so anyway we arrived at 9:45, my sister and her partner where already there having a heated discussion with the manager, he was telling us to leave if her partner was going to continue to be rude to him. Anyway I diffused the situation and asked what the issue was, we where late, turns out our table was booked for 9:15 but we got there 30 mins late so we couldn't have dessert and we had to order quickly as the kitchen closes at 10. It put a massive downer on the evening. The pizzas where mediocre we spend at least £20 a head and there was 8 of us so it wasn't like it wasn't worth them hanging around for our business. The whole meal was just a shambles, the staff where not very attentive and I would never go to a stables again! I understand we were late but it wasn't on purpose and they did make us feel uncomfortable like they were ready to leave and pack up for the night and that is not good hospitality!!!! Absolutely terrible and SOOO disappointed with The Stables!

Good location right by the Thames, very average service due to lack of staff front of house, more people in the kitchin than serving so not really the waiting staff fault.

We ate dinner here last night with my husband and three children (aged 5, 9 and 11). I have to say that these are the worst pizzas I have ever seen or eaten! More close resemblance to a wrap or poppadom with a tiny amount of topping. The children's pizza was the size of a side plate and similarly as thin as possible and anaemic. We ordered three standard lemonades for the children and received ones of less than half the size. My earl grey tea was large enough but with a one-cup tea bag, more water than flavour. The only positive was the location although I guess if you're on 5:2, or have sampled sufficient cider, you might find it acceptable. Rubbish service, total rip off and had to buy more food for the children on the way home!

We visited Kew Gardens and after had dinner here. A variety of ciders were given as tasters for my boyfriend before selecting the cloudy one. He chose fish pizza (his first fish one) which was excellent. I chose the butternut squash and goats cheese pie but unfortunately the pie was over baked and the pastry hard whilst the meagre contents were good, the chips and salad were good. Good location, overlooking the river. Friendly and helpful waiter.

Popped in for a bite to eat on Saturday having never been before, The warm weather helped and we could comfortably sit outside in March. We ordered a Pizza, A Pie and a tasting board of cider (5 1/3 glasses) to sample some of their many ciders. Everything was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back is ever in the area.

Lovely crab pizza & pies. Chicken pizza a bit dry but overall good. The cheesecake was disappointing but brownie was good.

A light. almost biscuit-like, base with excellent toppings. I know it's their "edge", and much as I like cider, I think I might have been happier with a glass of wine.

The first time I have been out for a meal on my own. This was close to the Thames path at Kew Bridge so a good spot. I imagine it's very popular in good weather

Popped in after a wander down the river and ended up having a cheese board and a cheeky glass of vino. Fab cheese board, they even offer it with oatcakes and butter! Should have ordered a cider as it is a cider restaurant, but the wine was nice. Looking forward to coming back to try one of their pizza's, they look excellent!! A really nice place if you're by yourself, and the staff are cheery and helpful!!

I've been meaning to try The Stable out and got the opportunity yesterday. Being a Monday night it was fairly quiet, but that meant we could have a good nose around. The decor looked good with lots of timber cladding and good views over the Thames (tables outside would be great in the summer).
