Stopped here for a bite to eat on a long drive. The staff were helpful and friendly and the food was good. The bar area is dog friendly and has plenty of space. Will definitely be back when driving this way!

It is a good place to stay, I think it says a lot that I only had three things that were not ideal and they are very minor. 1) TV remote has no battery left (which didn't impact my stay). 2) There is nowhere to get drinks for the evening in your room when the bar is closed, it would be nice to have something on the reception desk to get water from like you have at the bar. 3) In the evening the bar was quiet and it did feel like we were being rushed out even though it was open for over an hour longer, completely understand the staff want to get home but we did feel forced to leave. Overall though very good, nice breakfast and would definitely recommend staying B&B. It is worth it's money but be prepared as the road out on to the A road outside is difficult and you can be sat there for some time. Definitely recommend and will come again.

I would like to thank the team, in particular Molly and Emma, for their outstanding service during our stay. As a first time lil getaway with our 4mth old, they helped sort out prep and sterilisation of the bottles. The food was amazing!! Room was spacious and provided a travel cot. V dog friendly

The best katsu curry I have ever had. The rice that accompanies the chicken is superb. I am (not ashamed) a snob for rice. This rice is another level. Great service and options. Loved my mother's Day here!

The pub is conveniently located, clean and comfortable. We weren't staying here this time, though have done in the past and rooms were clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the service at the bar/restaurant lets the pub down. On this occasion we ordered a coffee and, after waiting twenty minutes, asked the manager where it was. She asked if I had ordered it and I replied that it was ordered and paid for 20 minutes earlier and was told 'it's being made now' but there was no apology for the delay. Fortunately the original server has overheard and appeared with the drink and an apology but the manager carried on unperturbed with what she was doing.

Enjoyable Pub/restaurant on the journey back from Southampton we have stopped here a few times rather than struggle with food court in West quay. Staff r always pleasant nice surroundings a d not over crowed seating arrangement it's a Greene King so u can expect the standard menu. I like going here

Situated just off the A31 in a prime location for passing and getting food or drink. A walm welcome and a good atmosphere when we walked in. We picked a table and chairs near the window in the orangry, and while the windows looked single glazed it felt very cosy and walm. The staff are polite and helpful ordered hunters chicken, steak and ale pie and a garlic ciabatta. The food arrived very quickly (15 mins or less) it was piping hot and very nice. I would happily recommend either dish. We will be going again soon.

Rooms are actually pretty decent for the money it cost but the whole point of booking a Pub hotel room was after a 3 hour drive I could get a beer. When I arrived at 10:15pm I asked whether I could get a beer and was told no the tills have been cashed up. I thought I must have researched wrong and it must have been 10pm it closes on a Sunday. I asked the Manager and she said it was 10. When I checked into the room I checked my Browser as thought it must be me, but it was 11pm. Went back to reception as thought maybe I can either leave cash to process in the morning or put it on my room bill and was simply met with no we have done the tills, sometimes we close early if no one is here. I get it, and there wasn’t anyone in the bar but at 10:15pm from a chain of pubs and both people staying around to leave at 11pm on the dot to not have a way just to pull a pint and put it through in the morning is a bit ridiculous. She sent me over the road to the M&S, so I bought a bottle I managed to shoehorn off a bottle cap with a key. I’m actually staying in Ringwood for another 3 nights just not here now.

Visited on spare of moment for Sunday dinner. Awful just awful. Was seated at a broken table with 2 very young children, the whole top was completely loose, balanced on top and constantly moving an accident waiting to happen , how this was not spotted by staff is beyond me. Roast dinners were old and dry,, burnt parsnips and rubbery carrots, mac and cheese for our 1yr old resembled a dried up sponge and had to be sent back, could blame it on being busy but we was one of three tables that were seated, 10 people in total. Just terrible please don’t waste you money on this place, better off going down road to a fast food restaurant. Just shocking does not warrant the 1 star I had to give to get this posted.

Hadn't been for a long time and went for a unplanned meal out. Service was very patchy, a large table occupying the staffs attention and basically not enough staff to look after others. Staff were lovely and helpful but we had to keep approaching them. Is it self service? It felt like it. Meal very mediocre, chicken dry and overcooked.Avoid on Sundays as menu limited and GF even less.

Having had an amazing meal at the Greene King Bellemoor Tavern, Chandlers Ford in August, we decided to check out the St Leonards Hotel by way of comparison. After a 13 mile drive, arriving at 16.10, today, we were very disappointed to be told that no meals would be served until 17.00. We'll try again but after phoning first next time!

The staff were very polite but..... we were told at 16:30 that there was no Sunday roast available and no kids steak or fish fingers. We were then told the chef could do 2 adult roasts with some pork loin that's left which we said yes to. When the food came, the pork was dry like it was 2 days old and potentially pulled out of the bin. The Yorkshire puddings were at least 2 days old, the roasties were clearly frozen from the supermarket. The gravy was lumpy and definitely needed more hot water added to it and there was half an uncooked apple with the core and seeds still in it in the middle of the plate. Literally the worst meal I've ever had. Which was ashame because me and my family were on our way home from a self catering holiday and that was our only meal out :-( Probably worth noting that the kids did enjoy their pasta and fish, but we did not stay for dessert.

Booked a room for one night to visit relatives. Unfortunately there was also a wedding in their function room. I'm writing this at 22.52 in the room while listening to The Prodigy, and feeling it as things in the room are vibrating. Bear in mind I have no sound system with me, it's from Dave Double Decks at the wedding. If you want a nice quiet hotel, where you can have a nice, peaceful nights sleep then do yourself a favour a book into somewhere else. Would I step foot into here again... absolutely no chance. If I'd known about the Ministry Of Sound in their function room then I would have booked elsewhere. And now it's Vanilla Ice, does this DJ have no class? It's now 15 minutes later and there's now some dire 150BPM techno going on and I've discovered three more things; the loo seat moves, the bedside light doesn't work and neither does the built-in USB charging socket. Things are strange in the world when you start pining for a Travel Lodge. Or Premier Inn. Or a simple two-man ridge tent on the roundabout on the dual carriage way outside, as it would be quieter than this. I do sincerely hope the Bride and Groom had a great day... from the sound of things they did.

This evening we went for dinner. Both ordered the same meal, chicken in a basket. When it arrived mine was not cooked all the way through and we sent it back to the kitchen. Another one was cooked and brought out which was MORE RAW than the first one! The manager mumbled an apology and told us we don’t have to pay. This evening was our first night out for 9 months as I have mental health issues. This evening was ruined by the poor meal we were provided with twice and made me very anxious about dealing with this situation. We won’t be returning

All the staffs there are so friendly and tends to any individual need graciously but not her. The following detail might look just like “A storm in a coffee cup” to you. I’m firmly believe that any successful business factors will always want to be ahead of the curve with the right customer services. I am always bringing my thermal cup for my favourite flat white. And I also knew that there will be a triple shot of coffee in it Which will making me a bit jittery hence I am always asking for a bit more hot milk on mine. Every bouts of my visit on this branch ,they all knows my favourite by heart, not even need to ask. On my visit today with this female staff, I specifically politely asked her the same manner of making. Theoretically speaking,I could be wrong from her training. Her foul response was ricocheting me with a lecture of how to make flat white ,plus she said she’ll be told off if she’s giving me more milk. I don’t mind to pay for extra drop of milk but she didn’t mention it. All she’s done was turn to be stern and rudely blank me by turning her back to me without any further rectification..The magnitude of her acts made me stunned and walked out. Few minutes passed, then I just can’t drink that coffee. I need to walk back into the shop again. I politely asked her for more milk again then she’s not only refuse to my need but also turn her back to me again by rallying the other staff next to her declaring her raucous victory over the customer!,, By asking the other staff whether her wrong or right! Talking about me within my earshot. If you can see from your cctv , she deliberately ignored me without rectifying nor mediating the incident. I am their very local and also been there nearly on a daily visit. Gobsmacking by being blatantly ignored and not being treated as a customer at all. In the end, I decided to walk out and stay away from this shoddy service. I just need to reassure you that I won’t be back to patronising any things from this Wimborne branch again.

Visiting Wimborne for the day. Antiques Fair on in community centre. The choice of beers was basic, nothing special. I stuck to Wetherspoons coffee as it is very nice and I was driving. There was no chicken wing basket on the menu, so I opted for fish and chips with mushy peas. This was very nice and tasty, although some of the chips were hard. The pub was fairly busy, but the staff were friendly, and pleasant. Thank you. If ever in Wimborne again, I will drop in for something to eat.
