Food was cold. burgers were burnt .Sunday lunches cold children's meals only good thing was chips for over 100 pound never eat there again .... no wonder there was no one eating and took over a hour to come ...

Great spot, the food burgers and stuff are cheaper than gastro in town, and the Korean fried chicken was crispy and light. It is fairly friendly, family and a locals place, but no American Werewold in London local.

Absolutely 1st class service, I had the steak which was cooked to perfection! From the warm welcome from bar staff and seating areas, very highly recommended

The outside of the pub looked so nice and welcoming. The inside was decorated a bit oddly and the bench seating was a stained and worn. The staff were nice and pleasant and the atmosphere was quite lively. The food was quite cheap, the portion sizes big, and there was flavour - so value for money was good. However, my gammon said it would come with two eggs but only came with one. The menu itself was pretty basic, hot dogs, chicken wings, paninis, chilli, baked potatoes.. nothing overly exciting or dramatic. But decent enough with some variety. I would recommend this pub for young families, easy, cheap and decent food.

We used to eat here regularly until they changed the menu. There is no soup, no prawn cocktail, no salads, no steak sizzler. Healthy choices are non existent. Whoever designed the menu knows nothing and that’s how you lose customers. Food quality has always been good. Shame about the menu.

If you don't want to eat on a wooden table that looks like it has days to be swapped and to serve you with a burned piece of beef in your burger, you should avoid this place! Nice, in open air, to have a pint or two.

This place is like a tv programme, the drunk man, the lady dressed like a 18 year old, dirty glasses, poor management

We visited the squirrel for a family xmas meal. The food was lovely. Was a pleasure to have a family meal at such a lovely friendly family pub. The staff couldnt do enough to please and look after us x

Went for a family meal the other day. The food was amazing as always but the front of house staff really stood out, the lady on the bar who I believe her name was Glenda was great :) she was very assertive and on the ball at all times. Defiently going to be rebooking 😊😊😊 a very happy family ❤️

We have been using this venue for the last 4 1/2 years and it seems to have got steadily worse over time. On the last couple of occasions that we have been we experienced various problems with the end result today being that we will not be returning. On a recent visit they had flooded the local area with some kind of discount for their Saturday breakfast But had not sufficiently staffed the venue to deal with the demand. On a Saturday morning when they offer breakfast they rarely have enough food on the self-service counter and We have often been served part of our meal (eggs beans etc) and either have to eat it separately to the rest or it goes cold while the remainder is prepared and brought out to the self-service counter. I suggest this is down to lack of communication between the front of house staff in the kitchen or the level of staff available to efficiently run the breakfast service Due to the attitude of the member off staff that dealt with me today I will not be returning. I have been using another venue in the town that seems to be suffering with the same kind of issues (barneys) and recently learned that they are run by the same people. I am keen to support local businesses but not when I feel they do not offer the right level of service to their customers.

Visited here with my friends for a catch up and a cheap meal as had been told about there extensive menu options. I ordered a 12oz steak for 10 so wasn't expecting much more than a filling meal. But I was pleasantly surprised the food was cooked perfectly I have my steak medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. Lovely sauce to go with it and the portion size left me with just enough room to roll out the door. I would recommend this pub to anyone as all 3 of us had lovely meals cooked perfectly and the service was wonderful too. We will be returning again next week for our meet up as we were so impressed. Please try this pub you will.not be disappointed.

After disastrous visit to the bell pub in Shottery - no food served at 5.15 what’s that all about?! we found the squirrel on trip advisor. Very friendly and attentive staff food was good and wholesome and good value.

Fantastc food. friendly welcome by the staff. quick service. very happy. children are always welcome. a real family pub. ample parking. great outside area to sit and let the kids play.

La comida salió. . . no está bien. me dijeron que era por filetes. un bistec mediano bien no toma tanto tiempo. . salió bien hecho y muy gristly. . pescado muy graso / graso. hamburguesas para niños sosa! ! Si estaba ocupado, entonces obtienes la espera. pero no, no fue así. . no volveremos

mi esposa y yo acabamos de regresar a casa de nuestro pub local, la ardilla. ambos tuvimos un excelente almuerzo festivo de tres platos allí. la comida es abundante, muy bien preparada y presentada. a diez por cabeza, vino a once por botella, estuvimos muy contentos con toda la experiencia. este pub realmente sirve comida fabulosa a un precio muy asequible, de ahí por qué seguimos volviendo. gestión y personal de ardilla bien hecho.

Metimos porque menú y no me decepcionó, mi esposa tenía la tortilla y fue fantástico y el tamaño Dios mío. El director era una mujer llamada Sharon y ella era increíble nada era demasiado problema para ella y ella siempre estaba sonriendo, la gente es hablador en general una estupenda ubicación, no en el medio de la ciudad, pero no lejos de ella, lo pasamos muy bien allí y volvería la próxima vez que están en ese camino.

Visitamos la semana pasada como parte de una estancia de dos noches en Stratford y me sorprendió gratamente, ya que la zona de inmediato el pub está situado en no es la mejor. Pub estaba totalmente limpio, con un buen ambiente y el personal era muy amable. La comida era muy buena y caliente - Disfrutamos especialmente el bistec y los precios eran realmente muy bien de precio. Lo recomendaría para comida de pub y un par de pintas.

Siempre comer aquí y siempre es encantador, la comida es alucinante. Incluso si no vas a tomar una copa, o si no eres un gran bebedor, sin duda, para la comida como para los precios grandes porciones pequeñas y un montón de opciones, tanto si eres vegetariano, o pescatarian carnívoros. Recomiendo encarecidamente los asados los domingos.

Un gran lugar para reunirse con amigos nuevos y viejos, que hacen diferentes ofertas de comida durante la semana y la comida es buena! El precio de la resolución es un poco caro para un pub de propiedad pero que no hacer ofertas de diferentes tipos a menudo! El personal es bueno! En resumen un gran completito!

After not visiting for a while for food I decided to give this place another go with some friends- well what a pleasant surprise, the food was fantastic, good quality and so much choice!! The staff were friendly and efficient, will definitely be visiting again!

Visitas varias veces con el trabajo y amigos. El personal es siempre muy acogedor y nada es demasiado problema. El menú es variado y hay mucho para elegir. Las comidas son bien cocinadas y adaptamos las comidas para satisfacer a la persona. Nos tomamos nuestras necesidades gente especial en el pub la mayoría de las semanas. El personal presenta un montón de paciencia y atento a ellos. Esta es la razón por la que volver semana tras semana

The food is excellent, the bar and lounge is laid out perfectly for families, and there is a lovely garden so kids can run around. Its also very reasonably priced

We go for our Sunday lunch here most weeks as the food is lovely. I usually have the roast beef. Any extras can be catered for, especially the gravy! Staff are friendy and are eager to help.Thursday is curry day. A generous portion is given here too.

Petite virée entre amis dans le seul pub du quartier, le service est sympa, la salle avec billard et fléchettes aussi. Peu de choix de bière mais il a le mérite d'être là, loin du centre ville ! Les plats ne sont pas chers.

This place has had a full turn-around... staff are friendly manager has hands on aproach and is a credit to the venue. I was so unsure about coming because of the issues this place had but I can say well done great prices fab food will be coming back

i don't normally leave reviews but after going for a curry and drink for under £5 tonight i felt i had to. The food was great, the offer was great, i've not long moved to the area and have popped in a few times, the staff are great, and Dave (i think his name is) is always happy to check we are happy with our meal, and make conversation without rushing us in any way, . the only downside is it would be good to come in with my husband for some entertainment, we came to the last karaoke, not long after we moved here and it was great with a fantastic atmosphere from staff to customers but not all of us have the guts to sing, although very happy to watch the local talent.

stopped at the Squirrel with 7 other friends whilst working in the area. What a warm and friendly welcome we received from everyone, staff and customers. We only had time for drinks and snacks but we ALL intend to visit the '' Squirrel '' again to enjoy their lovely food and friendly welcome, Staff were '' first class''. Excellent choice on menu large selection of £4, £6, £8, & £10 meals. Freshly cooked, baked cheesecake for pud was lovely and a big piece for £3.

we visited this pub sunday last and enjoyed the roast meal which was excellent again. roast potatoes, parsnips, cauliflower, carrots, broccoli,yorkshire pudding, and two good slices of soft beef both of which were half an inch, yes half an inch thick went down very well indeed. the downside was the three loud mouthed young women with there equally noisy children running riot under little supervision. even the bar staff were looking concerned at this.why do management let this happen is beyond me. must go after six thirty in future, should be more peaceful then.

as a party of six we prebooked for easter sunday evening. we are often eating here as we are dedicated foodies so we know what to expect. we all enjoyed a fabulous three course meal costing around £66. menu choice was faultless, the food as ever was excellent and plenty of it, sadly I did not finish my pudding as I was just to stuffed half way through it. the staff are a very pleasant crew and the service is good. another good time to go is Thursday curry night, for just a fiver you get a drink, be it a pint or glass of wine, a delicious curry of your choice, rice and nann bread. find better than that if you can. all in all great value to be had here at our local pub.

We had drinks and two lamb Sunday roast dinners, I thought that it would be just ok but it was superb, especially for the cost, 2 Sunday Roasts for £8.00.Fresh veg, a stuffing ball, Yorkshire Pud, roast potatoes, succulent Lamb with tasty gravy.It was a cheery atmosphere great staff and service, we could not fault it, we will be back again !!

We booked The Squirrel for my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. We had a 2 course meal for 23 people. We pre-arranged the meals with Sharon the manager who was extremely helpful. We had mixed platters to start, including vegetarian and they were great. We had about 8 different chosen mains and they all came out pretty promptly one after the other so no great wait between the 1st and the 23rd person getting their food. It was all good to very good pub food and no-one went hungry. Good portion sizes and very helpful and friendly staff. No complaints.

Met up with family and friends a couple of days after Christmas with a mixture of adults, teenagers and younger children in our group ( 12 of us in all ), most of us came down from further afield to visit a local family. And after ordering some food for the younger members of the group settled down for drinks and chat only to be told we had to be quiet as there was bingo going on, we weren't being that loud I can honestly say, in fact the bingo calling was deafening....then 2 members of bar staff came over on 2 different occasions and told if we didn't keep quite we would be asked to leave. That's a lady in a wheel chair, 2 children under 5 being thrown out into the cold, we quickly ate up and left and I can tell you will not be gong back again....disgraceful !!!!!

I went to the squirrel today as I thought the all you can eat would fill the kids before our day out! It was greasy, the scrambled egg was just a fried egg mixed up, the bacon was still oinking, the mushroom oozed oil and we are all now all feeling rubbish. Will not be returning

Visited on our stay in stratord and to be honest didnt expect much because of the prices but we were plesently supprised and if we are in stratford again we will be re visiting

We found this place by accident, and so glad we did. Very good choice on the menu and very good value prices. My wife had the 16oz rump steak & I had the T bone steak, both were cooked to perfection. Staff are fantastic, very helpful, we will definitely come again.

We had seen a full page advertisement in the local newspaper for the Squirrel (showing the Menu) and had decided to "pop in" after work. I emailed the day before to enquire as to whether a reservation would be required as we would be dining early evening (17:30) and received a prompt reply to say that a table had been reserved for us 'just in case' as it was steak night on Wednesdays.The Squirrel is effectively a local public house in a primarily residential area with a couple of local shops nearby and seems to be well used by local folk (we being from "out of town").The staff we saw were friendly and efficient and very well "turned out".We ordered Beef Lasagne (with a bowl of chips on the side - I was starving) and a ham & mushroom omlette with curly fires and salad. Both were very nice and our plates were emptied. We also kept an eye on what other dishes were arriving at neighbouring tables (for future reference you understand) and they all looked very nice and of a good portion size.If we had any complaint at all we felt that the speed of delivery was a little on the slow side but hey, there was no sign outside stating that this was a "fast food" outlet and what was our hurry anyway. Good things are worth a wait.The Squirrel is not one of those places that you just have to rush back to the next week, however, it is now on our "list" and is a place we certainly would have no concerns about re-visiting.
