Such a lovely bank holiday evening, thanks to the gorgeous aperol spritz, beautiful soundtrack and amazing burgers. Highly recommend. Cheers Adam for the friendly service.

The food from Thief Street is exceptional and The Spoon staff are friendly and helpful, so I'm a very happy customer. Looking forward to my next visit!

This is the second time I’ve eaten here and I was there with friends for a birthday. The food is amazing with incredible flavours and very generous portions. They’ve got a great selection for vegans too. I had the Korean chicken and would absolutely go back. We sat outside under the heaters and it was a lovely atmosphere. The chef even popped out to welcome us all! If you’re thinking about trying it, do!

Was so excited to try brunch, persuaded my friend and her parents to try it whilst they were in Manchester- so I booked so that we would definitely have a table. I received a booking confirmation so was excited - turned up and they were shut. The shutters were down even though we arrived at 11 (their opening time). I haven’t received any further correspondence let alone an apology/explanation. What a shame

Whoever runs this place has absolutely no thought for the locals that live in the surrounding area. Most places with outside seating ask their customers to be quiet and respectful from 9pm onwards and are strict on moving customers on when they should be when it is meant to be closed. This place is regularly open way past the hours it should be, sometimes till gone 1am, keeping myself and the surrounding neighbours awake. I am regularly up between 3am and 4am for my shift at work any day of the week and a lot of the time I go in with minimal to no sleep, which is dangerous for the job I do. I have lived here 8 years and feel like I could be driven from my home because of this. Having worked in bars and restaurants for nearly 20 years previously, I have never come across a place that has such disregard for the local residents wellbeing. Hopefully this is read and may come of something.

The Spoon Inn is a small, yet quaint bar. It’s located along a road of other bars and restaurants but it stands out due to its lively atmosphere. The food that compliments the array of cocktails, crafts and bottles is of a unique fashion. The food is provided by an independent kitchen and provides unique potato waffles paired with chicken, cheeses or even jackfruit. Food I have never experienced but would recommend giving it a go. The staff provide excellent customer service and a wide range of knowledge. The wait staff are attentive with wonderful manners. I would highly recommend putting away some time to visit this place for evening drinks with your friends or for afternoon summer drinks in the outdoor heated area. Yours, Mooch

This is probably the worst experience I've had visiting a café in Manchester. The waiter was absolutely lovely though and he did his best to make sure we were looked after. It wasn't very busy when we got there. We ordered from the street food menu and waited a long time for the food to arrive and we saw food being served to people who arrived after us, but we were okay to wait as it's a lovely setting and we had enough time and the waiter did apologise a few times for the delay. However, after en hour my partner's food arrived and was told mine would be with us shortly. 20 min after his food had arrived and everyone in café had food served, mine still wasn't served and I said to the waiter to cancel my order. At this point I'd been waiting 90 minutes. The waiter was apologetic and gave a generous discount. I stressed that this was the worst service I'd ever experienced, but it was not his fault that the kitchen didn't really want to work this day. I felt bad for the waiter as he was lovely and didn't deserve to be the face of this awful customer experience. My partner's food was actually quite nice and if it wasn't for the poor experience this day, I would go back, but I'm absolutely not in a rush to visit again. Can't remember a worse experience in a bar/café/restaurant.

We visited on Saturday night, having booked a table for food and drinks. As before the lockdown, this bar felt like a home from home. The staff are attentive, helpful, warm and wonderfully polite. Food and drinks are of a consistently high quality and reasonably priced. Very highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our Chaat and chips today. The homemade waffle fries are delicious and the brisket was very tasty.

Recently had Thief Street Grill and Waffle meal here and will definitely be returning (though I hear they are doing delivery in lockdown). The Korean Chicken waffle, the Chippy Tea waffle and the Mac N Chini were so delicious we were fighting over the last bites. Really unique idea and banging flavours. YES CHEF!

Been a loyal Spooner since the beginning and tried their new culinary offering ‘Thief Street’ out for the first time tonight. Have to say, Adam, Sean & John have outdone themselves here - delicious! Fought over the Mac’n’cheese and the chicken & pork belly were to die for. Even moor reasons to frequent none 😊😊

We visited for breakfast on a Saturday morning. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The selection of teas are very impressive and they also offered a full vegan breakfast which we both had. The ingredients were good quality and the food was cooked to perfection! Very tasty breakfast! We shall be visiting again 😊

Had a private hire party here. Perfect venue with private bar, booths and a smoking terrace... and they made it really easy to organise. The staff were really friendly and worked their butts off! Food was amazing and really reasonable. Would 100% recommend!

Have been coming to spoon for a long time, our ‘go to bar’ on BMR. Understand it’s difficult in Chorlton with so much competition, but it runs out out of the most basic of things, like beer & spirits. The Co Op across the road is to close soon, what will happen then ? Great staff, great space .... but whoever does the stock control needs training !

The service & staff were pleasant. The food was little better than mediocre. The most outstanding aspect of this experience of eating at Greggs, Cherry St Birmigham was the filthy condition. There were straws on the seats. Servietes on the floor and ripped up sugar containers, all littering the floor. The place wasn't that big and would only have taken 3 or 4 minuets to clean. I asked how they can serve people food in such a dirty environment. I was told they were too busy to clean. I said what about the 2 people in the back, that I could clearly see. She siad do you want to go and ask them? I declined. They have got their priorities wrong. Clean first, serve food second, but then I suppose it's all about making money. I certainly won't go back, and nor will I go to another Greggs.

I had the vegan breakfast which exceeded my expectations, although I felt the placement of a spring roll and falafel was quite random. It was the first time I tried tofu and it was extremely nice. Even the toast was spot on! For £6, it was good value for money, especially knowing I could eat everything in the cafe without having to worry. The smoothies were nice too, but were a bit more like juice since they weren’t as thick as a smoothie. I really enjoyed the vibe of the cafe as everyone was so friendly there, it really reminded me of a cafe I used to work at with its chill atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back. They’re also on this fantastic app called ‘Too Good To Go’ which gives you the food a place has leftover at the end of the day at a reduced price so that it doesn’t go to waste! Definitely check it out if you want to save food from being wasted, or just fancy a surprise for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Friendly and welcoming little cafe. Lovely coffee, good service, best cakes. We had the banana bread -moist, spiced and topped with nuts and seeds- and an iced lemon polenta cake also delicious.

Revisited the cafe a couple of times last year. First in Oct where I had a sausage and egg on toast and some tea. Nothing remarkable as the sausage was of the cheap variety. Bought a couple of slices of the fruit cake which looked nice to take away and it wasn't bad! Staff were really nice and there was seating at the back, beyond the store front. Second time was for breakfast after a morning walk. We ordered 2 breakfasts - can't remember which but they were huge! Very impressed when it arrived and the sausages were of much better quality. Very pleased with what we had then but sadly the cafe isn't open as early now so we can't really go before work like we were able to in the past. The cafe has been closed for a while now but hopefully we will be able to visit for brekkie when it reopens.
