We had such a great experience the other day, which was only made better by the lovely service from Ash! Ash made our brunch day out really fun! Will be coming back.

We had a great night out this weekend with some of our friends. The drinks were ace and our Bar Person, Kerri, was great and made out night.

drinks were a bit sweet and i think my chicken caesar salad could have come with more chicken & croutons but all of this is easily forgotten when our server - Josh - gave impeccable service with jokes and smiles throughout our service, truly the hidden gem of slug & lettuce

My husband and I treated ourselves to a brunch here to celebrate that we finished renovating the living room😊. He got the big breakfast without beans, and I the shredded chicken bacon & avocado croll (I can’t speak for the lettuce but there were no slugs in the avocado at least LOL!). I really enjoyed the fries, and hubby was a big fan of the jolly hogs.❤️ Our server Ash was marvellous, very kind and attentive and got us all sorted despite it being very busy, excellent service. We will be returning!

I'll be honest I'm not usually a fan of chain pubs and bars but we visited the slug and lettuce in spinningfields for a friend's birthday and had such an incredible time I'm now absolutely sold. The food was far better than i expected (try the salt and pepper fries!) and the prosecco was some of the nicest Ive tasted. But it was the service that really stood out. All of the staff were lovely but Matt (I think?) in particular was a total legend. He couldn't do enough for us, always checking we had everything we needed and going the extra mile. He made us laugh all night too, such a wicked sense of humour. We'll definitely be back.

Firstly, I'm not one for writing reviews however credit were credit is due. Some people deserve to be recognised for their hard work. We recently went into slug and lettuce but didn't intend to stay long. This ended up turning into hours of fun, we was greeted by Matt ( I hope I have his correct name, apologies if wrong but he did seem to be the one in charge). He made us laugh from the minute we arrived and we all commented on how hard he was working. This did not stop him keep coming over making sure everything was OK. We all said we would go back to that particular slug and lettuce if it meant such good service and good front of house. I hope Matt reads this himself and knows how good of a job he is doing. Thanks again :)

A great place to visit if you're in town, the food is great and at a good price, as are the drinks. The atmosphere did not disappoint but above all the customer service is exceptional. Specifically Matt who made me and my other half welcome right from the get go. He also made great suggestions on what to have, the Mrs now has a new favourite drink. Very friendly, we will definitely be coming back again.

Exceptional value for money, we did the bottomless after 5pm brunch. When we arrived a booth was set up and reserved for us. Although they were busy Peter took really good care of us, making sure our glasses were never empty. Would highly recommend

Went in for a drink and lunch, cold day but the Slug & Lettuce was nice and warm. Not a lot of people in whilst we were there but custom seemed steady. We had a lite lunch that was served quickly, very hot and tasty. Will call again next time we are in the area.
