Last stop of the day before a long drive home was a coffee at The Spon Gate. We needed a wet and so a couple fetch your own coffees were ordered and a Pepsi for daughter dearest. It's a 'Spoons pub, the coffee was perfectly acceptable, the second, even better. While daughter dear was more than happy with her fizzy caffeine boost. It was a fine way to bring the day to an end.

The customer service here was incredible. My waiter Michael was 5/5 stars he was so amazing he went above and beyond to make sure me and my family were happy truly amazing customer service.

Visited on Saturday, February 24, 2024. Nice atmosphere. Helpful staff delivered efficient but friendly service. Food and drink spot on. WCs were spotless – and the same could be said throught the pub. We will return to this pub next time we're in Coventry and we will recommend it to others.

I had half an hour lunch break. Went to spon gate Wetherspoons. I saw advertised "special" Gourmet burger. I don't eat pork. I asked and told the bar staff (twice) that I don't eat pork and that the Gourmet burger didn't come with bacon. I was reassured that it didn't come with bacon. Another customer said he heard me too. Burger taken to me with bacon 🥓. I told them the above. I explained that I wanted the burger replaced without bacon. They quickly returned. The bacon had been removed. Was it the same burger? Yes, she said. I said that I couldn't eat it and that I wanted a full refund. The woman said that she was the manager. Went to the till. She only partially refunded me. I asked why. She said that I had a drink. Yes, the drink was part of the meal deal and I hadn't touched it. I don't know what was happening in that woman's brain. I protested, but I had to get back as my break was nearly over. I didn't have lunch. I didn't get proper refund. The fault was entirely the fault of the staff. The reply, from head office was that I showed aggression. That is not true. They are liars too. Boycott Wetherspoons.

Not been in this Coventry spoons before so gave it a try. Not too busy which was nice, didn't have to wait long for food. Had the 3oz classic burger and a pint £6.44 so a great price and no cooking for me tonight 😊

Dropped in for an early treat today, Alfie pored me a pint and I ordered the turkey dinner. Sofie served it an Sam cooked it all with a smile. Great service so happy they do a good job. Got the meal and was happy with how it was cooked but the carrots were frozen and although they were cooked well frozen carrots do not have a good texture. The mashed potatoes were very good, but I would have loved knob of butter on them. The cranberry sauce is good but too much for this meal maybe half the quantity. All in all a nice meal, the gravy is spot on.

It took some finding this pub after walking around Coventry at it is out of the way but once inside, we thought it was decent. Staff were friendly, had a decent cup of coffee.

Prompt fresh tasty food in a very clean pub, helpful staff who would answer your questions straight away. Quick service at the bar and even the option for table service if you don’t want to leave your seat

Had fish, chips and mushy peas. Cooked really well and a pint included The food is always good and on Monday there is usually specials at very good prices.

Do you not come to this please the bouncers will hit the girls and throw the drinks all over them they are bully’s when they get bored just like the oke don’t get the food from nights before as well

Large weatherspoons pub nice staff ordered a steak meal under the impression with a drink included would cost £9.65 abit confused as I was charged £11.65. When I asked a member of staff he explained and said yes it is a bit confusing it does say starts from. OK fair enough, anyway lovely staff great service and nice atmosphere hey drinks are cheap. Definitely will be back.

Visited for a meal and a drink, ordered a simple Jalfrezi and chips in a meal deal which includes a beer, very good value! Staff nice, some confusion with the food orders.. I ended up with rice instead of chips! Luckily I like both. Noticed some customers also had a few issues, staff were able to sort things out though (maybe new cooks) Nice inside and outdoor seating at front.

Had a great night, food was good and the price was better, beer always came quicker than expected despite the place being extremely busy! The girl who served us, her name was Sara I think, she clearly knew the place, her service was amazing and she’s definitely the main reason for this positive review! I would highly recommend The Spon!

After being told that they were very busy, I was told I couldn’t order any more food, and was threaten with being kicked out for ordering food. I found this very concerning, As well as one of the things we ordered coming late and some of the order not coming at all. However, the food was very good and Rachel was brilliant!

Came in for a quick drink before heading home and found the place all set up for the ‘new normal’. A one way system, hand sanitiser at the door and QR labels on the table’s to confirm your location in case if a problem. Most people use the app now so ordering was straight forward. No issues drinking in a Witherspoons.

Place was busy. Fast, friendly and efficient service all round from the hard working staff. Food came quickly and as ordered, and tables were being kept clean.

A cllssic Wetherspoons pub set in the centre of Coventry in the Skydome leisure complex just off Spon Street. Good varied menu and comfortable seating. The pub is set in an area which is a great improvement on that of the early 2000nds when it first opened and attracted a lot of trouble.

Four of us met up in here on Christmas Eve afternoon and as it was ‘Steak Tuesday’ we decided to order from the special menu. We were really pleased with the quality of the steaks for the price. They were cooked exactly as we’d asked and we didn’t have to wait long. The drinks included with the offer were decent quality too. There was a really happy friendly atmosphere in the pub and the clients were from a good age range, from families with young children to ‘silver tops’.We stayed for quite a while and would definitely return.

Such is the standard of service at wetherspoon's now they merely hand you a cup and you fetch your own hot drink. How cheap is this company???!!! It's a disgrace.

I prefer older, more historic Wetherspoons, so seeing as this was in an entertainment centre i feared the worst. A nice surprise though. A friendly bar with excellent staff and interesting decor. Usual great menu and good prices. Well worth a visit

Won't be visiting again, we have been in numerous wetherspoons across the country and this one is awful, meals are small and not as appealing as the menu makes it sound , overcooked food and warm

The awful smell from the plumbing problems underneath the pub resulted in a swift half.The location is perfect for local history fans being close to the medieval Spon Street. The management have done a good job in providing customers with some information and wonderful artefacts on the walls describing the medieval history of the pub.

Popped in after work with a friend to catch up for a few hours, we decided to eat after seeing the food coming out and going to other tables! We both had pizza and a drink (Monday night offer) it arrived quickly, looked great and tasted amazing! Love the ordering via the app service too

I visited the pub today with 4 members of my family, the table we sat at was a disgusting mess, it was sticky had bits of screwed up paper and food on it - A member of staff did come quickly to us and clean it, so this wasn't an issue but bears mentioning. Upon ordering food, it was decided my father was going to order 4 meals and i was going to order my own as i was having something more expensive than everyone else - whilst ordering the meals he wanted i, stood there with my bank card in my hand was asked for ID for one of the drinks my father was ordering - I have an inch thick beard and grey hair dotting my head, a sore point for me at the age of 31... I explained to the member of staff that i looked older than 25 (I had planned to order a cider with my meal when i ordered - but id have changed this to cola since i had no ID with me) but the lady was making a very embarrassing situation and being quite rude about it. Eventually, i got her to understand that i was about to order a meal afterwards, and that it would not contain an alcoholic drink - She then accused me of planning to drink one of the alcoholic drinks on my fathers order, and that if i did this i would be ejected with no refund - I told her once again to just take the order of the person in front of her and that she can take my order afterwards, that i didn't appreciate that she was calling me a liar. She then began to act outraged and say that she would not server me if my 'behaviour continued', this was incredibly embarrassing, I am a 31 year old man, and i have someone talking about my 'behaviour' as if i'm some kind of child. We cancelled all of our order and left the premesis as my dad was made to feel extremely uncomfortable by the now, pretty sour atmosphere. I have had so-so service in this pub previously, but nothing out of keeping with how busy it often is - this time i felt completely unvalued as a customer, i felt like i was being targetted for no reason by this member of staff and when i rang to ask to complain, the lady who had served me tried to take that complaint. I will not be going back to this pub and unless i get an apology, i doubt me or those with me will ever visit a whetherspoons pub again in the future and would not recommend them to anybody who likes to be treated with respect.

There are many people who knock Wetherspoons but for the value it is hard pressed to beat. I had been following the Heritage open day event and before hitting Spon Street came in here for a quick bite. The clientele are always interesting and with the Wetherspoons app I ordered and received my food with no problems. Nice food, nice beer, good price and interesting atmosphere.

In Spon Gate, just experienced a “complaint” from diners at adjoining table. Tom and Matt dealt with the so called issue in an absolute professional, well mannered and extremely polite manner. The complainants seemed to be serial complainers out for a freebie.......hats off to Tom and Matt. We had a thoroughly enjoyable meal, service was excellent, fantastic all round. Steve and Sue

Had a pizza and chicken burger with two pints of very good beer for just over £12.

This pub never ever fails, food really nicely cooked. I would willingly pay twice the price for one of their steaks. Great value and friendly efficient staff. Ten out of 10 as always. Well done all of you.

Right next door to the Odeon cinema this was a great place to eat. Good menu, good service and very reasonably priced. Enjoy

after i visited Ikea i knew there was a wetherspoons at the back and i needed a coffee and it tastes better in wetherspoons so off i went, its in like a passage way and has seating area at the front inside its on the level then rises up a bit to another area. its nice and bright in there and quite a nice atmosphere and it was packed so thats a good recommendation, staff where nice and i had a nice coffee

Great location at the ski dome and next to Ikea in the city centre. It is super efficient and friendly bar. Had lunch which was fast and good standard. Really nice Spoons.

With group of friends, popped in here for couple of rounds. Didn’t mind as £1.99 for pint of Magners on draught, you won’t hear me complain. Served pretty quickly, toilets were clean and staff friendly. Busy pub

Went for a family lunch here after Ikea and it was lovely! The food is hot, good portions and tasty. They got my wrap order wrong and sent chicken rather than Halloumi, but quickly and very apologetically rectified it. Good prices and nice atmosphere too.

We visited at lunchtime with our 2 year old son. We ordered using the app which was easy to use and the food and drinks arrived quickly. The food was hot and delicious. The only negatives are the lighting is poor and if you want to customize your order you can't do this via the app. However, the food we order was spot on and we will be returning.

Nice place great team that work their never had any issues go here at least once a week even if it’s for a drink.

This pub serves alcohol to under 18's early evening until 9pm, then the security guard kicks them out for being under 18!

After walking around Coventry for 10 mins we eventually found the pub up an alley by the gym.

the staff are so friendly, the food is spot on, the price is just right, the surroundings are lovely whether you want to sit outside or in, we have always been treated well and always asked if our food was ok, what can i say 100%, the only thing against it really is when people reserve seats and dont turn up regulars are then stuck for somewhere to sit

A group of 7 of us booked a table for Saturday 15-12-18 at 7pm. We ordered our food. And was tod there was no starter for a start. Then when our meals came stuffed turkey breast with winter vegetables. Was no gravy but was on the menu. When we asked for gravy was told that we had to pay 30p more for a gravy boat. We said we would not do that. Having paid £9.49 , we said had no starter so was told we could have gravy. 2 of us was given gravy boats. Mine and my husbands meals was taken away. 10 minutes later we got our meals back. With a gravy boat on our plates. By this time our meals was cold. Mashed potatoes were hard as if been cook hours before and left. Turkey breast was hard and not nice, I could not eat it, some eat it just because they were so hungry. When I complained I was told I could have another meal or my money back. So myself and another one had our money back. So I left Wetherspoons, Spon Gate, Coventry hungry , disappointed and not at all happy with the meal. We hae been in at other times and the food been nice. But can not say that this time. Think meals were cooked some time before and left till some one ordered it. The 6 of us were who ordered turkey were not happy with meal. Other one had another meal and said it was fine. I would not recommend having the Christmas meal after trying it. But as I said the food is fine most of the time.

After a cheeky Nando’s & a quick drink in The Windmill, me and my godson (I know that is bad English but at least I am aware) came in here for a couple of drinks on a cold rainy Saturday afternoon. I have never been in this Wetherspoons and was pleasantly surprised. Same great choice at the bar and friendly bar staff, will definitely be returning.

I ordered Mushroom Risotto. I have to say I was very disappointed. The food came a bit too quickly. I suspect it was reheated from frozen; as there was a bit of ice in it and it seemed not as hot as it should have been. I was tempted to send it back, but didn't. I certainly would not chose this dish here again.

usual spoons big and full,had good time here at night on a couple of occations, but did not eat, but every thing looked ok.

Fish undercooked. Not been drained properly, mushy peas were cold, and mash potato was burnt. I also complained about have stuff in my drink, and was made to feel as if it was a big burden on them. When I complained about my food nothing was done, it was obviously just taken in to the kitchen and thrown away. Very disappointed. As someone who used to work for the company I was really frustrated as I hate complaining. Yet when I did nothing was done.

I visited with a friend for a midweek lunch and, even by 12.00 the pub was quite busy. We found a table, although it did seem the staff were quite slow at clearing away vacated tables. We both ordered burger meal deals and the quality of the beer was good. It is noticeable that JDW pubs can serve proper real ales at far cheaper prices than other city centre venues. Makes you wonder why!

Called in here after work quite late on a Wednesday evening. They serve food up until 11pm. Cheap prices and the pizza I ordered was excellent.

What I like about Wetherspoons Pubs is their ability to knock out meals in a timely fashion even when packed. This is our regular watering hole post match (Football, although plenty of Ice Hockey fans visit on Sat evenings). Find yourself a table & then order at the bar & within 15 to 20 mins the meal will turn up. Ok it's Pub Grub but washed down with Doombar bitter (plenty of other Bitters too). I find this time & time again & the Spongate didn't disappoint.

I visited this weatherspoons today with my husband & won't be returning. His food sat on the serving counter for more than 10 minutes before it was brought to our table. We then sent it back as it was cold. The second attempt left much to be desired-cold bacon, greasy chips & a barely ediable burger. It may be reasonably priced but you still expect to be able to eat it. The manager was great & offered us a refund. Very friendly, professional manager.

Friends and I have used The Spon Gate to meet up before the Rugby at the nearby Butts, the Ice Hockey next door and occasionally the cinema.

Wow. Ugly building. Ugly carpets. Not recommended for a quiet visit. Only had a quick juice at lunchtime. Didn’t try the food

The Spin Gate is ... well it's ok nothing special but far better than most Spoons out there. Used to busy at night but Coventry is in the words of the song A 'ghost town' Better pubs in Cov to visit

As usual for all Wetherspoon establishments great food and drink. Highly recommend the all day breakfast it was fab and great value.

Went here last night for pre meal drinks, my partner and I are regulars at Weatherspoons and this was the first time in the Coventry one near our restaurant.

Popped in here after a shopping trip it was quite busy but found a table both ordered sirloin steaks came really quick they were cooked to perfection excellent service and prices you can’t go wrong.

First impressions were good. Chandeliers and large room. As it was a family dinner, staff helped put tables together so we could all sit together. Ordered sirloin steak, medium to well done. Steak was stringy and tough - had much better in this chain. Rest of meal was acceptable and hot. Coffee machine seemed miles away, to the point that I got my cup and forgot to go for my self-serve coffee. There were tables outside, which was good as we had good weather. Staff seemed indifferent and meals were slow to come even though it wasn't particularly busy seeing as it was a Monday night. With better ergonomics and more staff enthusiasm, this could be so much better.

Estábamos buscando un lugar para el desayuno para celebrar el cumpleaños de mi esposa, y el único lugar que estaba abierto en esta zona con espacios, parecía ser el restaurante. Nos dieron una sentarse (aunque tuve que mover muebles para nosotros 6) y entonces decidimos en comida y bebidas. Como con todos los Wetherspoons, tienes que pedir en el bar, y parecía menos personal, pero al final no les sirve.

Mi tercer y penúltima Wetherspoon de la Boda Real el día me trajo aquí; justo enfrente de IKEA y al lado de un enorme complejo de cine. El pub en sí no estaba mal aunque un poco lúgubre. Pero de nuevo tuve una mitad del nudo Windsor, que estaba bien. No comer en cualquier sucursal de Wetherspoon en este día. Justo a la izquierda del pub al salir, se le podría perdonar por pensar que te han transportado en el tiempo tres o cuatro siglos!

Went mid afternoon and Friday night.afternoon had a bit of a restaurant feel about it but from 10pm tables chairs moved away and becomes a big dance floor.young crowd drinking jugs of spirits

Well, what do you expect from a Wetherspoon? Because that's what we got. The tikka was a W tikka, the gammon W gammon. And the beer was well-kept and we-priced. That's why a person goes there.... and because there's no music...

Took my daughter there for breakfast at 11 am. There were many people, even at that time in the morning, drunk, loud, and speaking with awful language. I know its a pub, but it really does not need to be filled at all hours of the day with alcoholics.

James and Danny who worked behind the bar were diamonds. Nice and friendly. Able to help us with anything we needed. Both deserve a pay rise and a break. Made my experience 10/10 would recommend to a friend and will certainly return for 2019 play offs (if there is a Basingstoke team) so please make sure they are working

This Witherspoon pub used to be a regular port of call, when I worked in Coventry, but I hadn't visited for several years. I was pleased it had kept the same bustle and atmosphere

Had breakfast here having been to a concert at the Sky Dome the night before.

Normally I’m a regular customer and never made any complaints until now! Burgers were awful had to leave most of our food!. Had about 8 Chips which were hard! Customer service was bad when normally they would’ve asked you if everything was ok. Toilets had hardly any locks and was lights were dim and had no toilet roll in hardly any of them. I’m really disappointed. Think they are mainly interested in the night life than they are any other time.

had 1 hour until the movie at Odeon started so wanted to grab something to eat. did not expect the prices are so good, as well as the food (Halloumi cheese was delicious, as well as the chicken burger!!). will definitely go back

Cold! Waiting an hour for a pizza, when it finally arrived it was stone cold. Not stone baked. First time I was here I was very impressed.

Came up from London to pick up my brother from university and came here for breakfast. Excellent choice and great prices. Had a vegetarian breakfast and brother had a salmon bagel. Would definitely come back for dinner or lunch in the future.

Si desea una carne de hamburguesa sin un agujero entonces a perder este lugar. Tenía dos hamburguesas cocinadas tanto para mí con un agujero grande en y me dijeron por el cocinero eso es cómo vienen! ? ! Sabes que es barato pero este real es una broma que no escriba! Según esta y la actitud cocineros que comería aquí ya que sabe lo que está pasando en la cocina! Mi amigo y yo también tenían lechuga podrido en nuestras ensaladas, asqueroso.

Avoid meeting in the City Centre - on the outskirts of the city, plenty of parking, good food at this clean and tidy pub

We visited today, wanted a meal to take away, no take away cartons, so no meal. Had a couple of drinks, then went to use Ladies loo. Dirty, No locks on doors, cracked sinks.. Not a good impression at all. Always thought Wetherspoons prided themselves on good, clean toilets. Obviously not!

Always the hub for a Hockey event at The Skydome next door. Even when full you get fast service with basic but tasty food and the endless coffee mug. Have always found the staff polite and helpful, the food and drink good and the toilets clean.

This pub is rammed full every play-off weekend, but the service this year on the Saturday lunchtime was appalling. 20 minute wait to be served as only 4 staff working behind bar. We were 4-5 deep at the bar at one stage. Satuday evening and Sunday afternoon were quieter and we had a couple of meals. Food was good value, but you should not have to ask the waiter to search for 5 minutes for a salt cellar! Far too few for the number of tables.

Called into The Spongate for breakfast before visiting Ikea, my husband had a large breakfast and I had a traditional and I have to say it was superb, it was all cooked well and hot! Thank you Big Pete for setting me up for a good days shopping

Visited this Wetherspoon on a trip to Coventry. It is a very building located near to the Ikea. Very friendly staff and really nice bar with spacious layout. It is not a stunning building but it is a recommended Wetherspoon/bar to visit if you are Coventry bound. Just around the corner from the Cathedral and Guildhall it is well worth a visit.

Had a good meal here served with a big smile. Order taken with lots of chat at the bar and all 4 meals arrived 13 minutes later by a happy waitress.Comfort of the place was good and we had a relaxed time here.

I came here yesterday. The girl behind the bar spoke so quietly that I could barely hear her and she didn't seem to know what she was doing.We first ordered Fish & Chips and Chicken Skewers, only to be told that neither of those meals were available. We then ordered BBQ Chicken Melt and Tuna Mayo & Cheese Jacket Potato instead.After waiting 20/25 minutes for food, it arrived. The Tuna Mayo & Cheese Jacket Potato arrived without any Tuna Mayo on, and the BBQ Chicken Melt arrived without BBQ sauce on. I complained at the bar and a lovely young man came over, apologised and took them back. He explained that the blonde girl on the bar was new and that the chef was too. He was very apologetic and said he'd get us fresh meals.20/25 minutes later, our meals arrived again. The tomato and mushroom on my plate were both burned to the point they were black and my peas were stone cold upon arrival. This time, both of the meals were missing cheese. There was no cheese on the Tuna Mayo & Cheese Jacket, or on my BBQ Chicken Melt which was supposed to have cheese on top. I went to the bar to complain again but nobody came and no staff were to be seen.In the end, I gave up and retreated to the table. We both ate our cheese-less meals but neither of us even ate half. Nobody came over to ask if our meals were okay. It was a waste of money, as the food was not nice and everything had gone wrong.Somebody (the blonde girl that had been behind the bar) came to clear our plates as we were putting our coats on and asked if the food was okay. I told her it was missing cheese, was cold, burned and just generally horrible, and that I would not be returning again. She turned a lovely shade of red and scuttled off with the plates without so much as an apology.Completely ruined our date, wasted our money and we then had to go and buy food elsewhere as we were still hungry. I would not recommend eating here.

It is what it is and we were hungry after going to the cinema. Cheap and cheerful does what it says on the tin. If there was more competition in the area we probably wouldn't have gone in but it was okay.

Good place to visit on the Spon Street trail. All guest beers are £1.99 at the moment and good quality. Can get busy and sometimes at luchtimes when ice hockey games are on at the Sky Dome.

Six of us visited this friendly city venue on a bitterly cold February afternoon for some food and drink. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming although the bad weather meant there weren't many customers about!My lamb shank was great, the meat was tender, veggies tasty, mash good and gravy thick and rich. There were no complaints about the burgers, chicken or tortillas on the table either! The only niggle was that the chips were lukewarm when served and soon went cold.The drinks were very good value as always, and we stayed much longer than we intended to, reluctant to venture out into the cold when we were having such a good time. Thanks to all the staff who made sure our outing was a very pleasant one!

I came to the spoon gate for some cocktails on an February afternoon and overall the drinks were cheap and the interior was nice. One thing to note is that we were on during the England Rugby game and there was a big projector screen but the pub was quite noisy.

Visited here on a Saturday night where it was heaving at some stages. Typical spoons quality, some of the chairs looked like they had a hard life but would return.

A frequent visitor to the Gate!Staff and Food good!A nicely cooked wetherspoons steak is always good value!It was very cold inside the place on account of the front doors not closing properly and lack of heating.It was the same on a recent visit to the City Arms in Earlsdon,do Wetherspoons have a policy of saving costs through low heating?Other quibble was a manager type person came round putting notices on the table saying all tables were reserved from 8.30 with no explanation as to why or attempt to explain to us!

I go to this place a few times a week,It's your basic spoons pub but they often have a good guest cider,the foods always decent and comes out quick and the staff are friendly.Oh yeah,toilets are spotless,easily the best Wetherspoons pub in town.

6pm and the pub is not packed but it's four deep at the bar and five minutes of queuing and I overhear the group to my left say they've been waiting 20 minutes. When they are served the group to my right leave in disgust. They should have been next. That cleared the way for me but I still have to wait while the staff serve another two ppl ahead of me. One an obvious regular the other a good looking blonde who only just arrived.Eventually having attracted service three drinks advertised on the bar were sold out two were ales which have easily removable clips to show they are out. This further delayed the chap serving me and peeved the customers behind me.Having received my meal I find there is no salt...all the other bottled condiments are available on the sauce table but not salt and pepper. I find a salt cellar on another table eventually. Its almost out.Food and beer, good value adequate quality. Wetherspoons suggestions:Train staff to recognise who may be next and if they are not sure have them pause and ask who's next, not just go to who they know or who they fancy.Remove sold out drinks from the pumps, or turn them round.Provide sufficient salt. If today was because of Xmas demand bring Bach sachet salt for such peak times.

Arrived by accident as new to Coventry, parked and found Spoons at same time, very grateful. enjoyed breakfast and endless coffee, such a good idea, love it, thank you

Just wanted to say how suprised I was with the food we had from the Spon gate. Being a big pub chain you don't expect much from these types of restaurants but we were pleasantly suprised. Food was cheap yet very tasty. We had the sirloin steak. Would defiantly return again.

Came here for a quick lunch whilst at an event at the ice arena next door.Service was very slow. There was only one person working behind the bar.The glass that came with my J20 was really dirty. Sometimes you get glasses which dishwasher marks but this was different. We used paper to rub the inside of the glass and the paper came out black with dirt. I think they need to sort out their washing a bit better. Can't guarantee how clean everything else is!The food came reasonably quick. Good pub burger, great with the cheese sauce on.Not sure I'd recommend this pub unless they literally clean up their act!

We visit this pub every week before ice skating lessons and I am always impressed with the friendly staff, efficient service and good value for money food. We never have a great deal of time so really appreciate the speed of the service and have never had a bad meal. The place is always clean and I look forward to our weekly visit.

Good value for money.Food was okay gourmet burgers are fantastic!!mixed grill i did not like.Breakfast is fantastic and coffee lovely.Lunch and evening meals have specials for example curry nite..a curry and free drink for around £6..great if purse strings are a little tight and need a nice meal.i recommend this place but not for young children as do have drinkers in there.
