Always have an amazing meal at apices food is always of a high standard and staff always friendly would definitely recommend

This has been my usual Indian takeaway for the past couple of years. This place has the widest range of options available to choose from with each curry being different in its own way. They also have a range of vegetarian friendly options aswell. Would definitely recommend this takeaway for everyone!

I had the Balti Chicken Bhuna and the Chicken Tikka Massala. Was excellent and will be coming again.

Ordered hot and extra hot but was Very Blend

I made a order of £30. It's turnt up half of its missing. Tried ringing no answer. I've now got a curry a bombay alloo but no nan no rice missing veg masala, veg togan No rice no dishes,chapati was dry and crispy.. So after all that haven't even got a proper meal. I'm fuming. I expect a full refund. Phoned them today to be told a while load of rubbish. Not interested in paying a refund or replace food. Used this place for months. XXWARNINGXX NEVER AGAIN. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS TAKEAWY AT ALL. COMPLETE SHAMBLES. AS FOR THETE TELEPHINE MANNER ITS DISCUSTING.

We use to order from hear a lot but the last 3 times things have been missing and food was stone cold when I ring up they said I'll give it to you next time there won't be a next time it's not just me who orders from here lots of family do witch now won't be happening I've recommended this place to many people over the many years I've ordered from here but no more u have lost a loyal customer

For me, I always get dissapointed if an Indian takeaway is a bit bland. I've ordered from this place 4/5 times now and enjoyed it every time. The food is very tasty and the portion sizes are pretty big so always a safe bet. However, I do feel the need to point out that I only ever order Veggie Biryani, Veggie Curry, and Bombay Potato. I can't speak for their other dishes; but if my regular order is anything to go by then they're probs tasty as well! Would recommend

Normally good this time very disappointed. The portion sizes where miniscule. The curry had 7 very small pieces of chicken every other element of the meal was tiny even the tandoori chicken half was off the tiniest bird they could of bought. Sadly won't be trying any more .

I was an extremely happy regular customer, the food is exquisite. Good size portions and the quality is great. I'm very choosey about my food, and they have never let me down. I've since moved to Swindon, and regularly get food collected by family and brought down to me, because it really is the best. If it wasn't 2 hours away, I'd happily pay a delivery charge to get it !! The customer service is second to none, they really take pride in their food and creating the best meal for you. I cannot recommend them enough.

My visit to this Indian restaurant was nothing short of a disappointment. The atmosphere within the establishment was less than inviting; the decor was outdated, and the place looked like it had been in dire need of a thorough cleaning for quite some time. The initial impression was far from positive. Regrettably, my dining experience did not improve from there. The food, which is the heart and soul of any restaurant, was a major letdown. The dishes I tried were, in a word, disgusting. The flavors fell flat. The culinary offerings lacked the vibrancy and authenticity one would expect from an Indian restaurant. The quality was abysmal, and I couldn't help but wonder if they were using subpar ingredients. The lowest point of my visit, however, was the customer service. One individual, a rather short Indian man who appeared to be in his 50s, was not just unprofessional but downright rude. His demeanor and attitude were inexcusable, and it significantly marred the entire dining experience. I have never encountered such discourteous behavior when ordering food. To put it bluntly, I will not be returning to this establishment. The food was not only greasy, but it also lacked any discernible flavor. It was as if the chef had an aversion to seasoning. The excessive saltiness in the dishes only exacerbated the unpleasant experience. I must emphasize that this place is one to avoid at all costs. Such a combination of unappetizing food and terrible service is inexcusable for any restaurant, and I am astounded that they manage to stay in business.

Quality and taste is always on point!

The Chicken Biryani I recently tasted was hands down the best I've ever had! It was simply amazing, bursting with flavours. The chicken was tender, perfectly cooked and seasoned, combined with fragrant basmati rice. I cannot recommend it highly enough - if you're looking for a flavorsome and satisfying meal, the Chicken Biryani is an absolutely must-try.

any time i fancy an indian this is my GO TO place! it's sooo nice, the food quality has always been good. i have never been disappointed, love it!!

Awful. Ordered a delivery. When it arrived there were items missing that the driver was aware of. He said he'd go back and get them. We were then called to say one of the items missing wasn't on the order and we would have to pay extra... £2.49. When the driver brought the second part of our order the first part was cold. My husband said he wasn't paying the £2.49 and the driver preceeded to have a full blown argument on our doorstep. Once he'd been asked to leave our property, we then got a phone call from the restaurant to argue again. Meanwhile our food sat and got cold. They have lost our custom permanently over a naan bread that probably cost them pennies. Terrible customer service and food was not worth the wait.

After receiving a leaflet through my door, I ordered a delivery. Well I must say it was one of the very best Indian food I have ever tasted. Every dish was absolutely delicious. Delivered within 20 minutes of ordering. Food was nice and hot. Prices are extremely reasonable indeed. Delivery driver was very friendly and polite. Food is always perfect. One of the best tandoori chicken in the area. Reasonably priced. I usually collect and have found them to cook the food quickly as well. Recommended.

Good food, not too greasy and rich flavours. The food is very reasonably priced. Usually quick delivery (we tend to order early which could affect this). We always get our takeaway curries from here, having tried quite a few in the area and finding The Spices the best locally. They are good with allergy information and don't put ghee in everything, so most dishes are dairy free.

The food was amazing the staff were really friendly and helpful to us the place is nice and clean all the dishes were the best I’ve ever had in my life. There are also so many dishes you can choose from and I don’t have a bad word to say about it will be definitely ordering again

Great Indian Takeaway with really tasty non- greasy food beautifully spiced especially the chicken tikka mushroom chilli massage. Very reasonably priced and delivered hot:it was Saturday night and we were informed on the website from the onset that there would be at least an hour' s delay before home delivery which proved to be accurate. Well done "The Spices"

RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE. COLD FOOD. These guys are a joke. Food always takes an hour. When you call them up and ask where it is they tell you lies like ‘it’s already left’ and ‘we make it all fresh.’ So why doesn’t it take 1 hour in a restaurant? Because you sit in the order until your driver can do 3 deliveries. THESE GUYS DON’T DESERVE YOUR GOOD MONEY. Shop around. You find better elsewhere. After 16 years in the area we’ve had enough. We’ll never buy from them again.

Don’t like leaving bad reviews or being rude but we ordered food and it took over an hour and a half to get to us, food was missing, the chips were soggy and everything was stone cold. When I called up to tell them they admitted that their chips were terrible and instead of apologising on the phone they just came up with loads of excuses would not recommend.

I don't like leaving bad reviews but I have to say this was the worst Indian takeaway I have ever ordered, the lamb was tough the sauce was bland,the peshawar nan was below average, I won't be ordering here again 🤔 😕

Hands down the best Indian takeaway in Shirley. We’ve been getting our Indian takeaways here for over 8 years now and the quality of food is always consistent and delicious. We’ve tried others but always come back here. At the moment you can order direct from their website online and grab a discount as well. I always pick up the order as it’s ready in 20 minutes and we have hungry kids 👍

Waited for hour and half for delivery then cancel because they short on drivers ...ruined my family nights after waiting for time they just cancled without apologising

food was delivered short of ordered, when I called to ask about short order they just argued about it. Main dishes were OK but cold and quantities were laughable. About enough to feed my goldfish. Will not use again due to selfish quantity and terrible customer service care

My morning cheese and toast has more flavour than this, the derisory amount of food that they’ve selfishly squeezed into a large sized container is honestly absurd. Im being generous with 2 stars.

Amazing food, great delivery service and very polite chap that brings the food.

Very pleasantly surprised with the food. The portions were great and the peshwari naan and meat dansak is divine. My whole family enjoyed the meal and we are looking forward to ordering again soon.

I really feel the need to express just how tasteful and delicious our food was from Spices....am overwhelmed... so many disappointing deliveries with food from west wickham Indian restaurants that there is not a comparison. .. this is the place. .. wonderful... must have food!!! Highly recommended. ..I am 68 years old and have tasted/ tried various local fare... trust me on this one...

Really gone down hill here, curry lacks flavour, they were great when I first went there but it's getting very inconsistent in quality. Hope I don't have dodgy guts tomorrow otherwise I'll be writing another review.

The food is always so delicious. The tandoori dishes and currys are the best I have had from any Indian. Great service staff really friendly and helpful.

This is a great Indian takeaway place serving Shirley area people for the last 18 years. The menu has all the dishes one could expect from an Indian cuisine, very fairly priced with wonderful tastes. The great thing about this place is that it’s an open plan kitchen so you can see the chefs rolling the Naans, sauté the onions and fry the poppadums all in front of you. It has a food hygiene rating of 5 and you can sense that the minute you enter the place. As is looked after by the owner itself, you can see the place maintained very well. The taste may not be to my liking(sweetish a bit), but that’s just me, I’m sure it certainly pleases localities.

By far the worst indian i have ever tried it took them 2hrs to deliver my food it arrived warm and by the time i had dished it up and made a drink it was pretty much cold. Tasteless and just overall the worst ive ever tasted i would strongly advice you go somewhere else there is a few really good ones local to this shop, just felt like trying something new and i completly wasted my money and anyone that recommends this resturant is clinically insane or just have 0 tastebuds absolute disgrace to call yourselves an indian resturant could of made it better myself, and also they dont even deserve 1star but its the lowest i can go.

On of the worse food ever I order some tandoori dishes and a naan brad it was disgusting

Ordered a curry 13 years ago when I first moved into the area. Spices were burnt and quality was poor. I had been told things were much better so tried a curry today. Half a tray of curry turned up and the lemon rice was jif lemon quality. After having a proper rant I was offered a free curry, not a refund! I won’t be using this place again as they don’t seem to care.

I orders from here TWICE now!! And first time was a joke!!! After waiting over a hour for my food they ended up delivering me the wrong order and had to wait even longer for them to go back and get me my order! It was a joke! Was cold as can be!!!! SECOND time!!! Wich was my last!!! I ordered food and when it came i found HAIRRRRRR in my chicken korma at this point i was very upset i called the place and spoke to the manager he was unapologetic and rude! Insisting i made the trip down to the Resturant to get my full refund there was no sorry or complimentry offer (not that i would of taken it) further more I wasn't aloud a refund until i gave him back his food that i chucked in the bin because i was so put off!! After waiting how many hours and finding hair in my food i was then CHARGED for the two cans of coke !!! WHAT A JOKE!!! Im not the sort if person who would normally write a review but the attitude i was faced with from the manger was discussting i felt i had to write this review!!! There is loads of other Resturants in west wickham I strongly recommend avoiding this one!!!!!

Really really good food...quite annoyed I hadn't tried it sooner having lived here for ages. It's been established 24 years and it shows in the freshness and the intensity of flavours. The portions aren't huge but the quality and flavous are . Looking forward to next time. Thank you.
