Our table was booked for 18.15pm, we were waiting 15mins I had to call a waiter to be served. I placed my order, it took another 45mins before the food arrived. My starter was supposed to arrive with my main meal. I was questioned as to did I order the haddock and chips. I said yes, to be told they do not have fish. I was quite annoyed and didn't order anything else. As I was already watching my clock as I had to been somewhere at 8pm.

No order notes followed. Food was cold, ribs undercooked and missing items.

Seems to have gone down hill prices gone up lots quality of food as as good as usual not too keen on the new menu

Neglected and stale. Plastic flowers by the windows are a tragedy for me. Food disappointed me, a potato probably cooked the day before soaked in water, salad with rotten leaves. I do not recommend.

Had a wonderful evening, everything was tasty. Only complaint is I can never get the bacon crispy, but hey ho. Served by the wonderful Steph, I wish more people in retail/food were like her. Fantastic service.

The venue is lovely and the menu is good and it’s very good value. But some of the staff really didn’t seem to bother about doing their job. Not a great experience. I arrived early, but later received a text saying I was late (see photo). I told the man at reception desk, so no excuse. Luckily my friend told me that I needed to enter my car number plate into their system, because the man didn’t bother to tell me, and I hadn’t noticed the sign. Shown to table. The cutlery was in a pot. The first fork I pulled out was grubby. My friend ordered a pot of tea. When she added the milk it curdled. The man told her that they didn’t have any more milk. She said she would drink it black, and asked for a clean cup. The man disappeared with the milk and dirty cup. Not sure if he went in search of a cow to milk, but we never saw him again. Our meal arrived (delivered by friendly waitress) and it was nice enough—good value for the price. Though the chips we ordered never appeared (maybe the man had taken them to try and tempt a cow). They did appear on the bill, so we asked for them to be removed. My friend had to go and request a cup, about an hour after our food had arrived. They did not offer to replace the tea, so she drank it warm. (We didn’t want to lose anything else!) My drink was the elderflower drink. It tasted of fizzy London tap water, so I’m guessing they fizzed the water but forgot to add the elderflower cordial. So, not a great experience which was a shame, because the place has potential. Maybe on a different day, with different staff it would have been great. But I don’t think I will be giving it another chance. If you see a man with a milk jug looking for a cow, maybe return him to South Norwood.

Harrison was a delight, we had a great experience because of him.

Had a lovely meal, food was good, Harrison our waiter was amazing, very friendly, nothing was too much trouble however certain other members of staff were very rude.

We visited the Beulah spa yesterday evening for a family dinner.The food was surprisingly good , hot and fresh and came in adequate timing.It was very busy but yet we was not rushed and Claire our server looked after us well ! We shall definitely be back soon.

Harvester is what is says it is. It’s not fancy but food is good and service is friendly. £70 for 4 meals and drinks is a bargain.

I wanted to shout out the young man who served us yesterday, Harrison. I wouldn’t have bothered writing a review but he really made my mums birthday, he was so friendly, polite and attentive. I’ve been to this harvester for years on and off and honestly never had service like that, please tell him thank you from us and hope to see him next time we visit!

I have been to other ‘Harvester’ restaurants; I had though never been to ‘Beulah Spa’. Upon arrival it was very busy and appeared to be pretty popular. The host was friendly and welcoming and it didn’t take too long for us to be seated. Our waiter ‘Abdi’ was one of the friendliest, welcoming and most accommodating people you could wish to meet. He explained everything really well, gave us recommendations and came to check that we were ok regularly. Our food arrived in good time and nicely presented. My girlfriend and I both ordered steaks, mine was the Ribeye and hers a Sirloin. The steaks tasted great and the ‘Beef Dripping’ sauce I ordered was delicious. I did find my ribeye a tad on the tough side but I still enjoyed it overall. For dessert my girlfriend ordered the ‘Lemon Blizzard’; which went down well and as I am not usually a dessert fan I opted out . However, to my surprise, our waiter ‘Abdi’ brought me a huge Belgian style waffle with a mountain of ice cream! This was subtly infused with cinnamon and light ‘Stroop Waffle’ syrup. I REALLY enjoyed it and upon presentation he told me it was on the house and I was happily surprised! All in all we had a very enjoyable evening and if you go to ‘Beulah Spa’; ask to be waited on by ‘Abdi’; he’ll treat you well!

I went there, for a treat. Abdi, was our waiter. He was so good, always checked to make sure all is okay, was helpful telling me what is on the menu.

Placed an order for delivery, after a 75 minute wait tried calling the restaurant numerous times. Finally got through to be told there were no takeaway boxes. Why would the chef not communicate this to other staff? Ridiculous service.

Had lunch today, food was quick, jacket potatoe was a little hard apart from that food was lovely. Service was excellent. Waitress Cathy was so helpful and very friendly. She is excellent with the children, i had a 2 and half yr old with me and she took time to talk to her. Really lovely lady.

Waiting a long time for service, especially when it's not busy, can be frustrating. And seeing the chef in a personal baseball cap instead of the traditional chef's hat might have been surprising, considering the usual kitchen norms. While the food was okay, the overall service experience could have been much better, especially when dining out with the whole family.

It was early in the evening with a lot of empty tables. Appeared to be short staffed with a little bit of patience needed. Food was decent but chips could have been warmer with a bit more colour.

After waiting for a hour and half with no service, not even a drink 😒 my family and I walked out along with two other families. Will not visit again. The place has gone way down hill.

Food was mediocre. That in itself would have been ok if it wasn’t for the slow service. Half an hour into waiting for dessert I mentioned to the waitress that we were still waiting. “I know you are my love” No apology just a rather snarky reply. Needless to say we won’t be back !!

The place wasn't very busy, plenty of spare tables. Drinks took half an hour, had to remind the staff that we even ordered them. Another half hour went by waiting for our food, so an hour now and we saw a table that had arrived around the time we were getting our drinks being served their meals, at that point we made the decision to leave and not even receive our meal. An hour down the drain.

We enjoyed freshly good food - good value for money & friendly staff

I recently visited Harvester and, unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. To start, it took an unusually long time for us to be seated, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. Once we finally sat down, I noticed that the salad bar was not up to standard. The items looked far from fresh, and there were allergens like mayo mixed in with other salad items, which is concerning for anyone with dietary restrictions. Hygiene was another major issue. I observed the chef using their hands to put chips on a plate, which is unacceptable. Even more disturbing was seeing the chefs eating while cooking, which raised serious concerns about cleanliness in the kitchen. To make matters worse, there were ants on our table, and the menu was dirty and sticky—certainly not what you'd expect from a restaurant. On a positive note, our waitress was nice and attentive, which was the only redeeming aspect of the visit. However, even her good service couldn't make up for the other issues. The prices have gone up, but sadly, the quality of the food has significantly declined. It’s clear that management is not paying attention to these issues, as nothing was done to address our concerns. Overall, this visit was disappointing, and I hope the management takes immediate action to improve both the food quality and cleanliness of the restaurant.

Well, what to say? Third time we've been there in a year and unfortunately nothing has changed. Staff quite impatient and not very flexible, especially in reservations with more people. The food continues to be poor, and prices have risen a lot, further highlighting the limitations and weaknesses of the place. Those who pay a lot want to eat well. And here, this rule does not apply. Good side: drink refills are a plus, along with the salad bar.

Food was fresh. Late delivery meant that I was late to visit my Mother in hospital.

Super busy but staff were calm, welcoming and helpful. The food was hot, tasty and aesthetically presented.

I love a visit to the Harvester which is fairly often but this time they were very short staffed and we had to wait quite a while. Food was fine, but I think their portions are getting smaller on some dishes.

Chips were horrible and no mixed salad received which should have come with the combo

The place is a shambles Bad service , no staff , no ice cream . When we came to pay , no one at till , we could have walked out . No receipt , when i did pay , no one new our to put new roll in card reader , faulty towers , a joke . Should be closed down .

Food was unreal, service by Abdi was an absolute legend!

Absolutely disgusted service, took over 10 mins for any staff member to even acknowledge our presence. Once seated 30 Mins later we had to find a staff member to ask how we could actually order. Even after our order was taken a whole hour had pass and no sign of any food not even the kids meals. After a hour and a half we Inevitably left the restaurant without any food as the kids were starving and started to get restless. My last experience here was 5 years ago and even then we swore not to return due to the same poor service.

Came on Saturday lunch with our church group for our yearly outing, I have to say it was really good from start to finish. Food really good ans lots of choice. We were served by the lovely Cathy, who was amazing and nothing was too much trouble for her. Thank you!

There were plates outside where were sat that had not been cleaned an took away,therefore there where pigeons eating the leftover food from the plates ! Massively off-putting. I had to go inside the restaurant to ask a member of staff to clean this up.

Thank you Harvester Beulah Hill. It was our first time here and we sat outside in the garden area. The staff especially Harrison and front desk lady Cathy made us adults and our kids feel welcome. Food was good, we will come back again.

My wife and myself decided to visit on the spur of the moment around 17:00 today. In the past, this establishment has proved very popular, around this time of day, and we were a little surprised there was table availability at such short notice. In the past, we have visited Harvester establishments, including this one, and have found them to be quite reasonable in price and ambiance. However, it was immediately apparent that this particular establishment had declined somewhat since our last visit. We were shown to a table that wasn't very well prepared - wet and sticky and lacking in basic condiments, I retrieved most of the missing items from a neighbouring table. We didn't complain because there seemed to be a lack of staff at that point. The Harvester menu has been very much simplified and streamlined, over the years, and the items seem overpriced for what they are. Frustratingly, it was very difficult to make a choice, due to the limited items on offer compared to the past, and we ended up compromising on 2 chicken meals and 1 breaded mushroom starter. After finishing our free salads, the starter was also consumed but then we waited an eternity for our main courses. My wife was becoming very frustrated by this but there was a lack of waiting staff to complain to. Eventually, our patience was exhausted and I left the table to find our waitress and asked for the bill to settle what we had consumed. We paid the bill and left, probably never to return to a Harvester.

First time in a Harvester for many years. The food was ok but nothing brilliant. The service was poor, nothing to do with our waiter, just the amount of people he had to serve. The location is nice and it could potentially be so much better. We went on a busy Friday night, maybe other nights are better.

Harrison was amazing, and had to run the whole restaurant by himself when we went 22/07/24. He had no one to help him, but he was so lovely & a great waiter.

I celebrated my birthday there, everything was fantastic! From the attention of the staff, the food and the adequate waiting time. We ate beef which was delicious, the salads were good, and the dessert was divine! We will definitely return 🙌🏻✨✨✨

My self and my girlfriend visited yesterday... When we arrived there was no one at the counter to seat us for about 10 minutes when we did finally get a table I had to ask for the table to be cleaned as there was sauce and food all over the table... Then it took 10 to 15 minutes for someone to take our order then food and drink arrived after about 15 minutes which is ok as food has to be cooked properly food was nice my girlfriend asked another glass 🍸 of chardonnay and she waited 25 minutes for the waitress to come up to us and ask haven't you got your 2nd glass 🍸 of wine yet ... So when someone did come we told the bar lady she wanted chardonnay she didn't have a clue what is was ... So overall apart from food being very delicious the service was a disgrace and needs re looking at ... We won't be coming back

Our waitress was superb. Very friendly, very professional, and went above and beyond to cater to our every needs. We had our 19th anniversary dinner there, and we were happy that they allowed us to take our cake and eat it there.

We went here for a family Sunday lunch and were pleased with the service initially as it wasn’t busy and the server was on hand quickly to take our order and deliver our drinks. However as it got busy it was really difficult to get her attention in placing additional food orders (as the children chicken goujons were tiny with only 2) and ordering desserts after our main meal or requesting the bill afterwards. To avoid the wait for payment I walked to the server station to make payment instead of waiting for them to come to me. I’ve been to a few Harvesters but not this one was really different though with the number of families coming in it’s a favourite with everyone driving through just need to sort out the number of waiting staff. The food besides size of goujons was good. We were told there wasn’t any vegan ice cream so had to order something else for dessert.

A very nice place to eat in with decent quality food and drinks provided.service When Cathy is serving us she is always polite welcoming and provides excellent customer service as always knows instantly what we are about to order. Spot on Cathy this place would not be the same without you. And not forgetting of course all the other staff that cook the fine quality meals.

Don’t go here unless you want food poisoning! We Had a little family day out for Father’s Day and let me tell you how bad it was. The hygiene of this restaurant was poor, next to none! The bread at the salad cart was FROZEN and they wouldn’t put out normal bread to replace them. Most of the salad was gone or just looked like it had been trashed! The waitress next to us was dipping used cutlery in cold soapy water and then just wiping them with an old rag and serving them to customers. There was food still left on my cutlery when given to me. All glasses and bowls smelt like WET DOG/OLD WASHING WATER. The quality of food at the harvester has gone down DRASTICALLY! If you’re looking for frozen or microwave food then harvester is for you. My mum has been sick and she ordered the prawns so STAY AWAY from any seafood. When our mains come out they left all our starter bowls on our table so I asked a waitress with PURPLE HAIR if she could clear our table and her reply was “no not really, I’ve had a long day” can you imagine have customer service like this. DO NOT GO TO THE HARVESTER ON BEAULIA HILL. you will literally be scarred for life. DISGUSTING

The food was nice, service was alright. Only one waitress to be fair was rushed off her feet.

Onion rings and waffles were hard. We did ask about them and was offered another and the explanation was that sometimes when they are waiting to be served (in the warmer) it makes them slightly harder

The Food was slow to arrive and the dish served to my sister had to be returned as it bore no resemblance to the photo in the menu and was missing some of the key ingredients...on the other hand, the service we received from Chantelle was exceptional! She went over and beyond and made us feel welcome. It may have been ab ordinary lunchtime for some, but we were connecting with a friend over here from Jamaica 🇯🇲 before he returned home, AND we had travelled from Birmingham by train and bus, on that day to do this. Chantelle was attentive, considerate, and engaging. 10 out of 10 to you, Chantelle!!

We had a great experience at this Harvester, Sacha our waitress was attentive and helpful. When I had an issue with my main meal it was quickly rectified. We will come back to this Harvester.

Food was terrible, chicken wasn't cooked properly, plate was full of grease and to top it off we had to wait over an hour for our food. Manager was rude and unhelpful. Stay away don't WASTE YOUR MONEY.
