The Spice Yard in Tandridge

Delicious, delicious, delicious. Went with family and the staff are super lovely, they only had the Indian menu when eating in at the moment (COVID). But they said they would be incorporating their Chinese menu back (I don’t particularly like Chinese, but love their take on it!

Came here last weekend and was appauled by the service which was given, the drinks took ages to come and the food was not to a good standard. Will not be coming back here again!

Had food from here as a takeaway a few times and always impressed so we decided to go to the restaurant as a treat.Got there at about 7 and were the only people there, a few lads in the pub but no-one else.Very nice waitress and we put our order in, I guess everything is pre packed and heated up or you couldn't possibly get exactly the same as a takeaway!!It was good food but so disappointing that we were the only customers in the restaurant.Is it because the pub side is quite scruffy, even spit and sawdust!!Doubt we will go again but definitely carry on using the takeaway.

The worst food ever, asked for 3 dishes and spring roles as takeaway cost me £30. The special fried rice was pilau rice with chicken and prawns, the kung poh chicken was revolting, the noodles were so greasy it made them slimy, the spring roles came from a supermarket but was charged £7. The whole meal was foul will and also had to wait nearly 2 hours for it to be delivered, we were so disappointed will not recommend to anyone, they really need to close

DO NOT USE THIS RESTAURANT. The parking system they operate is awful. We went there to get a takeaway and parked in their own customer car park which allows 30 minutes waiting. They took 40 minutes to cook our food . Since we have been terrorised by a cowboy parking company they employ demanding £170 for exceeding the 30 minute parking time (which was caused by the restaurant themselves taking 40 minutes to make the food) we have complained twice about the parking situation but they clearly don’t care as we are now getting threats of high court etc from the parking company. AVOID THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL COSTS AS YOU WILL SUFFER THE SAME FATE . There are plenty more Indian and Chinese restaurants in the area and much better as the food here isn’t particularly good. GO TO OXTED OR LINGFIELD INSTEAD

First of all, I just went for a takeaway, so I cannot speak of eating at the restaurant.Starters BBQ pork ribs-ok, but some quite chunky and overcooked, salt 'n pepper squid were bland and unexciting, prawn on toast, ok only. Accompanying sauce, quite fiery.Mains. Seafood delight (£10.95) was boring with a few bits of squid and 3 prawns, not much more (tasteless), sweet and sour chicken was very good and plentiful, chicken hakka noodle had little if any chicken in it (poor), and a steamed rice(£3.00) which was fine.All this came to £50 which was discounted by 10% on collection.I asked why the egg fried rice was priced at £5.25 and was told this was a fine dining restaurant (see title). Disappointing.

Excellent authentic food, so different from standard generic Chinese or Indian. we always enjoy our food from here, including an occasional cheeky takeaway , very tasty. . Lovely friendly staff. A real gem.

Nice restaurant! The chinese and indian food both tasty. Service was impeccable and reasonably priced too. Give it a try, you'll be surprised!

Awful service. Rude staff who didn’t have a clue. Cold food which should’ve been hot. Never again BEWARE!!!!

Came for lunch with the family- food was great, service with a smile. Location lovely, although a little way out. I recommend the lollipop chicken and chow chu cauliflower especially. Different from the ‘typical’ Indian cuisine.

Not long moved to the area so still finding the best places for food and drinks.

While the nepalese family are very nice and welcoming, and the food is a good standard, sadly the portions are half the size of anywhere else and almost twice the price too. Ive never seen rice for £5.25!! My bill was maybe £18 My local eatery is 10.99 for far more food. Im left Disappointed its a real shame

Not what we expected, staff really very good the food was ok but it really is a pub with Chinese food and Indian food and not really a restaurant. I wish them well, but not somewhere I would return to. A pub with restaurant prices and little atmosphere.

We have had a number of take aways from here and each time the food has been delicious. This encouraged us to book for Mother’s Day and again the food was exceptional with real depth of flavour. The service was warm and friendly and I would recommend you try tit for yourself. John & V

The service was great and Indo Chinese food was delicious. The chaw chu cauliflower and Thai prawns were amazing.

I have literally become a local the food is amazing and the pub is great with excellent musical choices. Its great for any type of even from having a quick lunch with work to a dinner date with my partner and even birthday meals

First time writing a review for a restaurant that’s means I really enjoyed there food. Tried both Chinese and Indian both tastes authentic and delicious. I will highly recommend this place to my friends and family.

I live locally and go here for occasional drink, had the food here for the first and it was amazing!! Had the chicken spring roll and some noodles, the flavour were rich and fresh. Would definitely recommend everyone to try it!

The spice yard is the good place to visit with Family and friends . there is lots of choice indo-Chinese & india cuisine service is soo great with friendly staff .you will feel as in a home . Food are really Delicious what we had & I love aromatic Duck sooo much . I have plan to visit again with my family thank you spice yard for kind of great food & lovely service

We visited the Spice Yard Restaurant at Godstone on 1st of February19. We had a foods BBQ pork ribs, prawns on toast with beer.

Excellent newly open restaurant... We went to have dinner week days had starter chilli chicken yummy spicy with wine.... Main course we had curry was good too, keep it up and good luck we will back again 👍

Delicious food, very clean and generous hospitality . Place to relax and enjoy for all including Children .

Visited with my family , staffs are really pleasant, good hospitality , we had Indian food which was very tasty.I highly recommend this place for dinner out
