we really had a super good meal, it is that we really felt like Indian food, but the building did not really had an inviting appearance. in short, looks can be deceiving, because the food is fantastic!!!!!😋

I've never actually visited this takeaway, I've always ordered online via the Just-Eat app. The quality, and quantity, of the food, are always good, in fact, the order usually lasts me 2 meals. Poppadoms are usually included with your order along with a traditional bagged salad consisting of lettuce and tomato with a wedge of fresh lemon, along with a separate onion salad. If you want other condiments like mango chutney then make sure you order them as they are not included. One other thing to look out for is discounts they may offer, like 10% off if you order a collection or delivery directly via their website or phone, rather than using any multi-store app like Just-Eat, Uber or Deliveroo.

Best Indian takeaway we've all had in ages. Party of 10. Arrived on time, hot and tasted exactly as it should be. Will definitely use again when we're back in the area next year.

Well what can I say it is quite possibly the best spinach dish and dansak sauce I have ever had and that is saying something coming from Reading as there are thousands of them. Well done guys can't wait to try many other dishes if they are as good I will be well happy!

Had a very nice Vegetable Masala. The meal was so good wife had Lamb Pasanda on two occasions. I had a beautiful vegetable madras. Really flavoursome and well cooked. Wife is threatening to take the chef home with us. Good value for money thoroughly recommended.

Came to hayling for the weekend, decided on an Indian meal Sunday night, this place was superb. Would reccomend.

Friendly staff. We arrived before open, but they kindly took order so we could go off knowing we could pick it up as soon as done. Spice is near 2 beach so we settled ourselves until ready. I have 2 say it was excellent. Great spices,) ±my husband is fussy) tender chicken, good sized portions, + they'd added 3 poppadoms + salad free. Sat on the beach with excellent Indian, sun beginning 2 go down - what could b better.Thanks The Spice 4 making our Sunday evening special.

Ordered food here via the Just Eat app. The food arrived within the timescale given. The service is very good. We had the chicken korma x2 and rice x2. Would highly recommend.

We have used The Spice Indian 3 times recently and always look forward to doing so. The food is hot, flavourful and spicy, delivery usually around 45 minutes and the staff polite and friendly. We have ordered both over the phone and via Just Eat.

We have now had three lots of takeaway from The Spice. What we received this evening was barely warm and very bland. I have had the chicken makon-wala twice now: the last time it was lovely, this time it was bland and the chicken was dry. My husband’s meal on two occasions promised peppers but, despite phoning them about the lack of peppers on his previous meal as soon as the order had been placed on Just Eat this evening, they were still conspicious by their absence. We shall not be ordering from there again.

The quality has definitely gone down since it changed hands, the service is good but the quality of the food has deteriorated the sauce is OK but the meat is tough and the sides are not as fresh as you would expect as I waited for my meal so not on hot plate waiting for me.

I love good quality Indian food. The Spice is consistently excellent. Their Tandoori food in particular is the best on the Island by far (I have tried them all) and try the Dhansak if you like something a bit hotter. The chef is highly skilled here and the service is first class. I highly recommend.

Bland, no flavour and chicken strips? No! Like the frozen chicken strips from Iceland. Sagaloo no flavour just potato n spin.

Decided to try a curry from here as our usual one has gone downhill. I really enjoyed my Tandoori Chicken Balti. It actually had flavour rather than the tasteless one I had from our previous restaurant. Reasonable price for yummy food. We will be returning!

We had a very indifferent takeaway. The meat in the lamb dishes was tough, the chicken korma had a fairly nondescript flavour, the rice was rather lumpy, and the garlic naan was unduly leathery. The portions were generous, but we would rather have had less food and better quality. The experience reminded us why we have not had takeaways from this establishment for some considerable time.

takeaway meal for two is enough for four people, plus it is delicious.. The staff are very friendly, and will deliver if required.

I love getting an Indian from here. I have a chicken balti and mum had a chicken korma and rice. Superb! Nice and hot and came on time.

Just had a chicken rogan josh from the take away. Place is very clean and you can see into the kitchen as they cook. Down side was the plain popadom I had was the tastiest part of the meal. The curry itself was completely bland without the slighted hint of heat or spice flavour. Chicken was in regular cubes which seemed suspicious with a few tomatoes and sauce. A complete waste of money and I could have bought a chicken breast and jar of sauce which would have given a more flavoursome meal.

Went to this take away as we are staying at a camping site on hayling island, oh dear what a waste of money !!! We are used to Indian restaurants which are far superior to say the least. The only tasty thing was the free onion salad thing and the popadoms, the curry itself is a complete joke, literally had better curries from a jar from Tesco ! I feel sorry for the people of hayling that leave such glowing reviews of this place, I suggest they go to an Indian resturant or takeaway in Portsmouth or Southampton and try the food there, it will blow your taste buds into a new level, the complete opposite of the spice Indian takeaway.

We had our takeaway yesterday. It's DELICIOUS. The gentleman on reception is very welcoming and has taken the time to learn to speak eloquent English. The chef and his team are very talented. The taste was SUPERB 😊 we had a Pathia and a Lamb Goan curry. Honestly DELICIOUS 😊

Food was fresh, hot and very tasty. If I ever visit again I will definitely be calling in for the chilli garlic chicken.

I have used this take away for over ten years and never found any fault. Great food and very friendly chefs.

This small take away curry house is everything you could wish for. The menu is varied and more interesting than the average Indian restaurant. Delivery is usually quoted as 45 mins but has always been quicker. Prices are good and the quality of food is unfailingly good. Suffice it to say we seldom use any other Indian take away on the island.

I use this place on a regular basis and as i have enjoyed all the foods cooked here.(onion bhajis,top class naan,jalfrezi chickens,samosas.)they answer the phone they deliver and i can recommendgood prices

I've always steered clear of this restaurant because everytime I dorve past, I never saw anyone in there but recently thought I would give it a try. I liked the fact that when standing at the counter you can actually see the staff cooking the food, so clearly they have nothing to hide....how many other restaurants can you say that you see staff cooking? I only had a basic chicken curry with plain rice but the quality of the food was excellent with NO grease/oil in the meal whatsoever. Great place for a takeaway.

Once we tried this friendly take away we were hooked. I have the Chicken Patia which is by far the tastiest Indian meal I have tasted. They make it vindaloo hot and sweet for me and add extra tomatoes too. I can't really comment on any other dishes as it is so good I haven't tried anything else. My Fiancee has the Chicken Tikka masala and it also must be as good as she too always goes for the same dish. Thank you for such a great curry...everytime :)

An excellent takeaway which provided fast service and really good food which was more than sufficient for a two course meal. The prices are very reasonable and the menu is extensive with a range of chef's specials for the more adventurous.

I took a takeaway the The Spice last night. Chicken tikka biryani with extra green chillies and a plain Naan. I noted that no complimentary papadums were provided which was disappointing. The meal was fresh and generous with excellent flavours and textures. The Naan was light and fluffy. Overall a very pleasant meal. The price was @£9 which is about right for this area. The Spice has been trading since the early 2000's so they must be doing something right.

one of the nicest Indian takeaways I have had for a long time, each dish had individual flavours and were very distinctive . I have found some take aways to be very samey, but the Spice. It is very reasonable and the delivery was quick and the food hot.

A tasty and well priced takeaway. We had a naan (delicious), onion bahji (daughter adored), lamb bhuna (tasty but will go spicier next time) amd channa masala (good). £13.10 cost. Really a meal for 1 which 2 of us could not manage, so fab value. Delivery was amazingly for a Friday, 10 mins ahead of schedule. Happy to endorse and certainly worthy of a good review. (I did also check the food hygiene ratings and it has 4 out of 5 so good indicator too.) Well done, we will be back!
