Fui a comer con mi madre. Siguen todos los métodos habituales de distanciamiento social. Todo el personal fue muy amable y atento. Todo ello sumado a la maravillosa atmósfera creada por la decoración que se ha hecho con un estándar muy alto. La iluminación le da un toque maravilloso y me imagino que es espectacular por la noche. Teníamos un menú lleno de comida deliciosa para elegir. De hecho, nos tomó un tiempo decidir qué queríamos porque todo se veía muy bien. Mamá optó por el chuletón y yo elegí la parrillada mixta y le agregué un poco de salsa de pimienta. Mi comida tenía un bistec jamón, pechuga de pollo y bistec chuletón. Las tres piezas se cocinaron a la perfección y no necesitaron ningún condimento adicional porque estaban muy bien cocidas. Las patatas fritas estaban perfectamente crujientes por fuera y esponjosas por dentro. Los guisantes eran encantadores, regordetes y dulces, lo que siempre es agradable de ver. La salsa de pimienta es probablemente la mejor que he probado. La comida de mamá fue igualmente deliciosa y la presentación y la atención al detalle fue maravillosa. Para el postre ambos comimos pastel de chocolate dulce. ¡Guauu! el pastel estaba muy húmedo y achocolatado con mucho glaseado. El helado de vainilla junto a él estaba delicioso y la galleta desmenuzada fue un toque inesperado pero agradable. Por cierto, la cerveza Lockdown que ambos teníamos era como terciopelo líquido. En general, una gran experiencia culinaria y volveremos definitivamente.

Mi pareja y yo hemos estado en Southway y no hemos tenido una velada agradable. Pero esta noche pensamos que nos detendríamos en el nuevo The Lockdown Bar renovado y puedo decirles que es un shock. El pub es encantador, la zona exterior es sorprendentemente cómoda. Fuimos recibidos por el personal que fue muy amable y feliz de ayudar a los asientos en el interior era muy moderno y nuevo y no puedo esperar a volver. Sería un error perderse, no puedo esperar a venir la próxima semana con los niños.

Cerveza agradable y barata con buena comida honesta y sin tonterías y personal amable ¿Fuera de los caminos trillados pero una verdadera joya escondida?

Always Friendly people Inside and drinks are cheap. Pool tables and a jukebox inside which are handy.

No fue una experiencia agradable. Se siente como si no tenía interés de inversión o gestión de propietarios o por un tiempo muy largo. Un montón de gente viven cerca, pero me pregunto cuántos he venido aquí por segunda vez. Solo otra persona en el bar (excepto el personal del bar) durante el tiempo que nos llevó a una pinta.

Poor food, poor service, not as I remembered. Old and mouldy building were the staff dont give a monkeys. Shame it used to be good!!!

This is a dull neighbourhood in an outer suburb, miles from the waterfront and the retail and entertainment centre of the city. The post war estates are inflated with light industrial units. This pub is not immediately recognisable as such. I pulled in for a quick pint and maybe a sandwich or pie. There were several cars in the car park but possibly only one other customer inside so I assume that the car park is used in the day by people who live or work locally. There were a couple of chalk boards advertising events from New Year on so obviously someone is making some effort and there is a bit of life to be had. Not apparent though when we went in. Friendly enough bar tender but not much selection. Feel of the large room was verging on desolate. We had our pint quickly and yearned to move on. Perhaps it's more fun later evenings and weekends? Took a couple of outside photos but didn't have the nerve to ask to do so inside.

It's one of those places that you can't really identify anything really wrong, but don't get a great feeling from it. We went in and they weren't doing food, not surprising as it is a 'local' and maybe there's no call, but sandwiches on call would have been good. I think that the main downer was that there was absolutely no atmosphere whatsoever, this despite the barmaid who was nice and friendly. Don't think we'll return.
