Warm welcome. Good service. I had a most delicious soup whilst the others enjoyed paninis. Honey cake not as good as it looked but still enjoyable. Spent a long time browsing through the shop which offers a wide variety of affordable gifts, beautifully packaged. Testers all around enabling one to choose the perfect fragrance.

Simply a lovely way to spend some time and some money. Really friendly staff, great food and it's just the place to find the perfect gift without breaking the bank. It's easy to find and as an added bonus there is plenty of free parking. Was surprised to see a private meeting room as well. Highly recommend a visit but probably a good idea to book a table, was really popular!

The Soap Bar Cafe is the brainchild of Somerset Toiletry Co. Chairman, Sakina Buoy who wanted to offer a tranquil space for the local community to unwind. As you walk into the Cafe you are greeted by the smiling faces of the women that work there. The space is broken up into two sections, both decorated in a sophisicated, contemporary manner. You find a gift shop on your right hand side which is packed with affordable toiletries and giftables (such as cards, scarfs, jewelery etc) and on the right hand side you find the cafe, with ample seating and a sleek bar. I visited the space with my wife last week and felt compelled to leave a review after our experience here. The coffee was delightful and sourced locally. I had a great slice of carrot cake and my wife loved her panini and soup. We are both excited to come back soon for afternoon tea!

I’d been looking forward to visiting and it didn’t disappoint. It’s just SO lovely here! The cafe is fabulous. A really nice cup of tea, a hot chocolate and delicious cakes all served with a friendly smile. The shop has so many beautiful things! All very reasonably priced and displayed so well (love the bath tub of soaps!). This is a really lovely place to spend a couple of hours. Would highly recommend. We will definitely be back!

This used to be a really great restaurant when it was known as the Mezze, so I looked forward to trying the cafe in this bizarre mix of a soap outlet and food. Calling the cafe. The Soap Bar cafe name certainly didn't help me overcome the reach-worthy concept of eating soap. Perhaps others don't mind the smell of soap mixed with food but for me the two ideas are totally incompatible. There is a very limited menu and when I say limited, it was panninis and a few cakes. The panninis arrived after quite a long wait and I had to eat mine by hand as the outer layer was so tough it couldn't be cut with the somewhat inappropriate knife. No one came to ask midway whether the food was OK, no one came to clear our plates and we had to go to the 'bar' ourselves to pay and leave. I really can't see this incompatibility ever being cured and the cafe I am sure will always be a loss leader. I for one have made my first and last visit and cannot recommend the cafe to anyone.

Great café that does excellent cakes and cups of tea Plenty of seating inside Reasonable prices and good quality cakes Orders either taken at the bar or they come to you - these are then bought to you - pay on leaving Limited amount of alcoholic drinks available Short opening hours Monday to Saturday 10.00 to 16.00 - unfortunately closed on Sundays Good use of what was presumably an old pub but has kept some of the features Toiletry (soaps) shop in the same building Plenty of parking Bus stop right next to it or opposite depending where you are coming from A real gem that is yet to be discovered by many

Wow best scone ever served with delicious jam, clotted cream and a lovely strong coffee. Stopped off for a late breakfast but only cakes and scones offered before midday. Wasn’t disappointed. Limited lunch menu from midday but if it’s as good as the scones well worth visiting. Cakes look amazing

We visited for coffee and cake. I had the carrot cake and it was amazing!! The coffee was excellent also. Highly recommend! I had a nose around the shop. The products look high quality and lots of choice. We’ll be back to stock up on Christmas presents 🎁 and another cheeky slice of cake. Suggestion: although I’ve not yet tried the breakfasts on offer, I’d like to see an egg dish on the breakfast menu.

I visited with my parents last week, the staff were really friendly and super helpful with my father who is disabled providing a ramp for his wheel chair and assisting us. We ordered the Carrot, coffee and tiffin cake all of which were gorgeous. Lots of lovely bargains in the shop too, we will definitely be back for another visit again soon.

We had booked for 2pm for tea and cake. We were made to feel very welcome and showed to our table in the window. It was very busy but the service was excellent. I ordered a pot of tea and carrot cake, my sister decided on hot chocolate and Victoria Sponge. Good choices. All of the cakes are baked in the kitchen on site, fresh every day. There was music in the background, but not so loud that you were unable to hold a conversation. There was nothing I disliked about our visit. I can recommend the cake!

A newly opened bar and cafe and absolutely superb. They are doing breakfast, lunch and throughout the day serving the most delicious cakes ever tasted. Staff are so friendly and personable. They have a licence so a small amount of wine and beer/cider is available but this is not a pub. Afternoon tea with Prosecco is a must though! Third visit in 2 weeks and loving it. Will be regular customer for sure! 😃💟

Beautiful, family-run cafe near the Jane Austen Centre in Bath. This was my FAVORITE place for tea/coffee in the three days we were in Bath. Gluten-free options were terrific--Lemon Cake!--and the walnut/chocolate cake was divine. Tea was terrific, too. Great, low key atmosphere and awesome humans working there. Will definitely be a destination next time I'm in Bath!

I know. Bath has SO MANY wonderful coffee shops…. But MUS is delightful. Immaculate seating in this intimate location, with exceptional coffee served by genuine Spanish/Colombian speakers. Sit outside or in, stroll down Widcombe’s shopping area or over the road, next to the river, all the way to picturesque Pulteney Bridge. Relax. Or meet for a business meeting that can’t fail to go well. MUS is a MUST.

Classy, well stocked bar with great food and fantastic service with a smile. Hidden gem close to city centre but in quiet location next to Henrietta Park.

Had seen this little place online lots so decided to give it a try. Managed to find a table. Ordered 2 bacon sandwiches & 2 coffees but asked for mine well done. The bacon was cremated unfortunately on both of ours which didn’t bother me but my Dad didn’t enjoy it all all. Coffee was lovely. Service a little on the slow side but there was only 1 lady working and it was reasonably busy so wasn’t a major issue. Will revisit again at some point as it is a lovely little place.
