Visited on the weekend as a family of 4. Staff were friendly and helpful The liver and bacon was badly over cooked and more like rubber. I understand that kitchens prepare foods etc to cope with demands etc. but no excuse to have it this badly overcooked. A chef would spot that before plating up and should not send out. Shame - could be so much better.

I would like to say how wonderful I think the smugglers inn pub is. We have visited this warm and inviting pub on several occasions in the last month for Sunday roasts and each time we have had the most amazing experience. The attentiveness of the staff the outstanding quality and attention to detail in the presentation of the food is truly way beyond pub grub. I would highly recommend this superbly run pub to everyone. My elderly aunt who visited today from Northamptonshire said it was the best roast dinner ( and she had a child size roast) she had tasted in a pub.!! Thankyou Smugglers !! 👍 My family will see you all again on the 13th December for our Christmas dinner and music night... can't wait..

Have visited score but only for a drink. This time we had Sunday lunch and the food was very good. Considering how busy they were the service was attentive and food arrived promptly. I had the roast beef which was excellent and the portions sizes were very good in comparison to a lot of other restaurants where you usually get 1 slice of beef and 2-3 roast potatoes. At the Smugglers there was plenty of beef, no fat and the roast potatoes were cooked very well, nice and crispy and not drenched in oil. The vegetables were plentiful and it was no issue for the staff when we requested more for our table. Will definitely return when we visited Milford again.

We were warmly welcomed on arrival & thereafter, looked after exceptionally well, given the pub & restaurant were very busy. Our meals were cooked & presented superbly & suffice to say, were delicious (Surloin Steak, chips etc.) Being local we’ve tried several pub restaurants in & around the New Forest & can honestly say that none of them match The Smugglers Inn, based upon our recent experience. Hilarious , first time I’ve had to pay for gravy because they don’t give enough and the chef reason because we have to buy the jug it comes in and they get broken every week so it’s to cover cost not the cost of the gravy ! Why not just put enough gravy on food instead of serving it so dry it’s not nice without enough gravy. Or even just put price up by 50 p an serve enough gravy . Other customers also raised this when we were there. The carrots an broccoli were dried out an reheated . Mash was dry as anything shame as the rest was nice. Never before have I had to pay for extra gravy because you don’t serve enough in the first place. Bar area lovely warm but the back room is too cold for comfort in the winter months.

Really easy to find a disabled parking spot ..table by the window …prompt service ..I ordered the roast beef (lamb had sold out) My daughter had cheeseburger and chips with garlic bread young lad brought plate to the table… the dinner was lovely and definitely had proper roast potatoes and that horseradish sauce was excellent..as was my lime and soda (although I think I got lemonade…but it was delicious ).. two complaints 1…I had to leave my plate mid way to get at the bar to get another drink for my daughter bar was busy so my dinner was getting cold.. 2 the beef was very much overcooked for me ..but tbf it’s hard to serve up a med rare slice … but I would still order it again if that horseradish sauce was on the menu Yes we will definitely return Teena & Nikki xx
