Had the absolute pleasure of being served by Crystal and Freyja at Slug & Lettuce and wow what a team! Their service was flawless from start to finish - friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell they love what they do, and it shines through in every interaction. On top of that, they went above and beyond - not just for customers, but for the local wildlife, too! We watched them rescue a distressed seagull outside the venue with such care and calm. It was heartwarming to see such compassion in action. Great service, lovely people, and true everyday heroes. Crystal and Freyja made our visit unforgettable. Thank you both!

5 Stars – Always a Great Experience! I come to Slug & Lettuce every lunchtime for work and it never disappoints. The food is consistently great — fresh, tasty, and served quickly, which is perfect for a busy schedule. What really makes the experience stand out though are the servers, especially Freyja and Crystal. They’re absolutely brilliant — they know our names, our regular orders, and always make us feel welcome. Their service is friendly, professional, and personal, which is rare to find. Highly recommend this place if you're after a reliable, friendly lunch spot with great food and even better staff!

Was such an amazing venue with such wonderful bar staff service was so quick and and welcoming, unfortunately the older bouncer was so un welcoming its not a surprise people come and go so quickly walks round with a nasty attitude telling us the best place to go after is home even though this bar is connected to pop world. I asked him why he was so grumpy and he’s response was he doesn’t like anyone. How lovely props to the other young security for putting up with him and trying to make people feel really welcome.

We went for a standard bottemless brunch for our friends birthday and it was supposed to be around £35 per person which is absolutely fine. But on arrival the server asked us if we were signed up to the email / app and if we had gotten the code for a free bottemless brunch upgrade, and one of my friends did and showed the server it and the server said it was all okay and how perfect it is that we can upgrade, load of bs really. We arrived at the brunch at 7:12pm and we had 1 drink in 35 mins of being there, so my friend went up to the bar to ask basically what the hold up was and one of the male servers offered us a bottle of birthday Prosecco for the table for free, but then when it came to paying they said that we couldn’t have the upgrade and since we had drunk the drinks included in the upgrade we have to pay £49 each , even tho she was shown the code for the upgrade and her colleague gave us the bottle because the service was ridiculously slow. So we was made to pay and she then said she will slips us extra drinks on the sly for free to make up for it ?? And got hostile with my friend saying things like “yeah that’s not really my problem “ well actually it is because it’s all your mistake.

John and Freya were absolutely amazing! such jems our drinks were never empty at our bottomless brunch, food was lovely, I brought my mum here for a mother daughter date and had an extraordinary time.. We had a slightly different interaction with some customers which Luke handled exceptionally and spoke to us and made sure we were okay immediately after they left which we were! We felt so so safe and had an amazing time, Thank you John, Freya and Luke, we really appreciate you all!

We got served by Ethan, who was amazing with his service. Quick, down to Earth and conversational throughout the 2 hour slot we were there. All the other staff were also friendly too. Drinks were great, food was good even if my portion size was quite small (crispy shredded quicken with waffle fingers). I would recommend to anyone looking for a good start to your night!

Went there for our post exams celebrations. Lovely atmosphere, staff was very polite and pleasant, although it took the kitchen quite some time to prepare the food. Cocktails and Mocktails were worth the money.

I had the chicken and bacon sandwich and peach perfect cocktails. The sandwich was amazing, the most tasty I've had from S&L. The only thing was the atmosphere, for a lunchtime meal and drinks with friends, we were having to shout to hear each other! I've been back a second time recently, and considering it was busier than last time, we were able to talk to each other without shouting! Service was a bit uncoordinated with the meals coming out separately with a gap between each so we couldn't all eat at the same time. I had the same as last time because it was so nice and it did not disappoint! For drinks, I had the cocktail Sea You Later, and they were fab!
