Popped into Slug Poole today (6/1/25) and was served by Charlotte a friendly and helpful member of staff. Thanks for helping me choose a nice glass of chardonnay! Will be back for another lovely lunch soon. I can honestly say that my lunch today at Poole Slug and Lettuce was the best I've had in a long time. They have a weekday lunchtime deal, £7 for a sandwich or burger, fries and a soft drink, (£2 to £3 extra for wine, beer etc) I chose the steak sandwich in a rosemary foccacia, the steak was tender and cooked perfectly by Chef Jae, skin on fries crispy. Staff are lovely, Jordan and Ria are super good at their jobs. Cannot fault and will return. Thank you Slug.

Charlotte was very friendly and attentive. She seemed to be in her own but still managed to serve everyone and check on our meals etc.

I'm Brazilian, I've lived in England for six years and for the first time I'm here in Poole visiting this wonderful pub, fantastic energy and I never imagined having such excellent service from a very satisfied Brazilian woman here Lu, you're the best, thanks for the mayonnaise and ketchup lol

Great option for drinks, too choice of beers on tap. Ordered 2 surf at turfs and a mac n cheese. All the food was delicious especially my steak which was cooked to perfection. A perfect rare though it was a so soft and tender. Our chef Alfie made sure everything came out perfect and made our special night worth while. Thankyou ✌🏼🫶🏼

Lovely lunch with our 8month daughter in tow. Great lunch meal deal, the price was ideal and the food was super. Thanks to our server Marcus for assisting with a high chair & baby changing key which made things smoother. ☺️

We came to the Slug & Lettuce for a family lunch, Gracie served us and was very friendly, well articulated and smiley. The children had the kids cheeseburgers and my husband and I had the bacon cheeseburgers- all plates were cleared and we all said they were very tasty. We would definitely return.

Our friends chose this venue for lunch. We had two sharing platters, One of the staff was a bit miserable at first, but apologised later. The food was great and full flavoured. I normally keep away from these multiple pubs but must conceed that this was a good meal.

My family and I had lunch here recently and had a great experience! Was very quiet (on a Sunday afternoon) which was nice and had a really cosy feel as I find most slug and lettuce do! The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming and very accommodating! My mum had a problem with her tea and she was quickly upgraded to a better drink free of charge - I think this is great as every now and again something will not be right and it is no one’s fault, it is how they react to it that counts and we could not have been happier with the response. We were served by both Allanah and Charlotte both of whom were very welcoming, helpful and all round lovely - both were absolute stars! The food itself was absolutely fantastic, fair prices and top quality I had the smothered chicken which was amazing! All in all an excellent experience; we couldn’t be happier!

Didn't know what to expect. A little bit disappointed. They need to how to make cocktails as I believe they should be made with crushed ice,not lumps of ice.
