The only good thing to say is that the service was quick and friendly, ordered on the app and the drinks came swiftly, followed quite swiftly by the food which all looked nice, however two of our party had the chicken melt which once cut into you could plainly see the bacon was almost raw so we took it off and ate the chicken although due to everything else on the plate being on the cold side ended up only eating half of that, we were in a rush so did not want to fuss over sending it back, one of the other meals mixed grill was also on the tepid side, the only warm one was basically a basket of chicken and a side salad, when the waitress collected the plates and queried if the meal was ok we told her the issues she said she would talk to someone and then come back as she didn’t like to think of people not being happy with their meals, we waited 10 minutes whilst we finished our drinks, she never came back, I have eaten at several Wetherspoons and they are very hit and miss this one was definitely a miss and if we find ourselves back in Lymington we will be avoiding it!

Stopped off with the family after a day out as it had been recommended for a quick meal. Ordered the food and drinks through the app which was easy to use. The food and drinks came out a short time later. The food was nice and hot and for the price was fine although, a salad with the burger would have been nice as well as chips. We all decided to have a pudding. Some went for the chocolate brownie which, again, was ok but nothing special, I decided on the cookie dough sandwich which was very sweet but I did enjoy. Would go back again if I was in the area

Presented with heavily coated battered small slice of fish, chips which were a mixture of old, new and half cooked and tasteless garden peas on a cold plate! Added to this a small glass of wine which came to about £15…. Absolutely not worth the money and to me a waste of £15! Three different areas including a light & airy part near the front windows & a pleasant courtyard out back (beware the chip-stealing seagull!) Went for the afternoon pub classics deal & only reason for not five star is the portion sizes; certainly on the chilli bean, which is vegan, I could have eaten more. Clean, nice decor, much history around. The winding stairwell to upper wc gives a you first glimpse of mass of Windows for boasting panoramic views of historic rooftops and architecture all around. It's worth taking your mobile with you when you visit the powder room. Coffee could be better but it's cheap and drink it with a bottomless mug. Downstairs area as you come in is for those that like it slightly quieter. This place can get noisy around the bar. Amazing line of really decent beers. One thing that stood out for us was the work ethic of the bearded gentleman working the lower level. This guy is a machine (in a good way) he doesn’t miss a beat and works extremely hard to make everyone’s experience a good one. I don’t know his name, but as someone who has owned a number of businesses over the years, I can say that he is exactly the person I would want to be running an establishment like this. No time for himself, and all about making Weatherspoons work for the client and the the management. If he is not the overall manager then the area management are missing something.

I am very visibly over 25 so very silly I was asked for ID in the first place but sending out nearly every staff member on the premises to give me some lecture at the age of 27 is just pathetic so I politely told them I was leaving and vacated the premises to the lovely townhouse just around the corner which rightfully allowed me to order a pint

Unfortunately, what we thought would be a lovely meal out turned to be incredibly disappointing and underwhelming. We arrived to barely anyone inside and asked to be by the fire, but were put near the kitchen instead. I ordered the venison pie (recommended by the young waitress) which came out with the crust inedible and microwaved to death, it was hard, burnt, and despite the meat tasting okay, some of it was chewy and hard. The ‘veg’ was a single stone cold carrot, on a bed of luke warm mash, with stone cold cabbage. The gravy was clearly out of a packet and barely warm either. I knew if I sent it back it would just be remicrowaved and the crust was already burnt, so I ate what I could, but when I mentioned it to the waiter, he was incredibly nonchalant, and the general vibe from both him and the waitress was incredibly arrogant and disrespectful. I overheard the young girl mocking diners while running in and out of the kitchen. The worst service and food I’ve ever received at a pub to date. We couldn’t wait to leave and will not be going again! Incredibly disappointing and bad vibes. Should’ve read the reviews beforehand as it’s clear others have had an almost identical experience!

We love meeting up here for food as ideal location just off the M27 although you would think you were in the middle of the countryside. The food is fabulous and the curry's are so fresh and tasty. I had the Chicken Shashlik Masala and it was full of large pieces of chicken, lovely and spicy and fresh. Absolutely delicious. My friend has the Lamb Rogan Josh and couldn't finish it as the portion was so generous.
