What a great place and amazing cocktails! Lovely staff and great service.

This quirky little eatery is a must try in Saltburn. It fills up quick but that's because of the excellent food and friendly staff. It was my second visit and we sat outside as the weather was fab. Service is fast and the quality is ace. My new fave foodie spot in Saltburn.

Good cheap coffee compared to the whole of the town. Yes the cups are smaller but it better for my stomach and a quid cheaper.

Had a wonderful lunch today at The Sitting Room. The special was a beef melt and it was absolutely delicious 😋 great coffee, fairly priced and the service was great too.

Lovely little cafe that also has a seated area outside in the nicer weather. There is also a serving hatch if you just want a take away. They have a good selection of special coffees and hot chocolates, including speciality ones at different times of the year. They also have a good selection of breakfast items, toasties or bagels to eat it is. It is not cheap however everything is always nice and the service is good.

Have been to the sitting room many times before, always enjoyed the drinks and service, unfortunately today's experience of been served a warm bottle of prosecco after been made to wait longer than we expected to wait for it, only to then be spoken to quite rudely and abruptly by a staff member eavesdropping on our conversation about the fact we were told ot had to chill first before having it. Staff members name started with an E. Has put us off returning to this establishment.

Food lovely, unfortunately the service was very slow, we had to tell the waitress we were ready to order after waiting quite a while and then we had to ask for our coffee's after we'd finished eating, they admitted they had forgotten our drinks, this was unfortunate as the food is delicious, despite the slow service, we would return.

This is the second time we have been to the sitting room in Saltburn. They have a good selection of cakes and pastries. The decaff- latte was nice and hot. This is quite a rustic café with quirky things on the walls and ceiling. Well worth a visit.

Delicious food and coffee. Friendly staff not overbearing. Order at the counter and relax! Quirky venue, great for brunch!

A gem of a find. Fabulous olde worlde ambience with friendly and courteous staff. Great choice of teas and coffees with tempting and tantalising cakes if you wish to partake. We certainly did. Yum!!! Will try the lunch when I visit Saltburn next 😊

Very friendly staff. Great cakes. Good selection of hot and cold drinks including alcohol.

Waited 27 minutes for simply toast and jam. By which time the tea which we got was cold. Toast was not fully toasted either which was unfortunate also.

Cocktails before a meal, service is very good, very friendly even on a busy night, they have a great selection to choose from, not badly priced.

A nice stop if quiet but can be abit cramped when busy , one draw back was we were sat near the toilets , no drama but it would be better if the door had a self closer as most folk can't seem to close a door or have a thought for other diners in this regard ie wiffy smells 😬 bar this all was good good taste food and dog friendly 😀

Lush, again and every time we visit. It's the most awesome cute and cosy cocktail bar, which, if you didn't know, is a cafe too. Serving chunks of gorgeous chocolate cake, cakes, and delicious savoury bites. It's really well sited and easy to get to. The funky decoration of the whole sitting rooms filters through to the atmosphere. Everyone is welcoming and helpful. The cocktails are all mixed by very good bar staff, we enjoyed a few 'Dark and Stormy' cocktails and 'French Martinis'. Its a hit with us everytime, perfect for just two of you on a date night, or a group.

This is second time we have visited this week. We only had a hit drink but it was one of best Latte's I have had and it was piping hot . Will visit again & maybe eat too next time. A quaint little place!

We had a nice tasty snack here and would recommend a visit. A pleasant and very helpful young lady waited the table. And they served a nice pint of Peroni.

Very small cosy indoor space, this is a cafe bar and Bistro. Delightfully large Italian sandwich and a pint of Peroni. Don't quite know how to tackle this sarnie, it is so large! A little above my normal budget, but enjoyable.

This is a wonderful cafe!! I am sensitive (not allergic) to gluten so I struggle to find things I can eat when I visit Saltburn... I am able to eat sourdough due to the low % gluten in it. Half of the menu was sourdough based rather than another bread, which made my entire week! I had a Brie, Bacon and Scotch Bonnet Jam Toastie and it was absolutely gorgeous. Definitely the best meal I've eaten in Saltburn. Don't even get me started on the Mocha 😻. My brother had a special hot chocolate and it was also very very nice. You can literally taste the difference between this store's cream/marshmallows and your standard ones - WOW. The customer service was fantastic despite it being very busy. Thank you to everyone who was working today! I rate the atmosphere a 3 as it is a very very cramped space and my fat behind could barely squeeze past other customers 🤣

Staff are friendly and it's a nice atmosphere on a night (plus there's some seating outside which is good in summer). Cocktails and cake are really good.

Come here often somehow. Service is lovely and the coffee is good quality. Prices reasonable- strongly recommended.

Went here on Thursday, 30th of November. The staff here are really kind, the hot chocolate I had was amazing, the brownies that were on the counter looked absolutely delicious. Nothing else to say, it's just good!

Dived in for a quick bite and drink. Very busy when we arrived but table cleared and the very helpful staff got us seated quickly. Soup and a bacon brioche arrived quickly with our drinks, all accompanied by a pleasant and smiling service. Just what we wanted, well done.

Highly recommend their toasties and pistachio and white chocolate iced mocha. Great service too!

Not much of a choice when it comes to beer and cider, but what they do have, is nice. Well looked after and has a good seating area away from the traffic with an added bonus of being a sun trap. Friendly and good quality overall.

Really nice place tucked away by sainsburys how we found it , got quiet busy seems very popular for cocktails , lots of tables outside lot of people enjoying the sun , nice menu disposable knives and forks , only bug bear the area outside needed a good brush ,it wasa bit windy but bits if rubbish floating around

Ordered a hot chocolate without cream. One came with cream. I cannot have cream so asked for one without cream and got this (half a hot chocolate!) for £3.50!! Would not go again.

Popped in here twice whilst staying in saltburn staff were fabulous as were the cocktails. Didn't try the food but the menu sounded very nice .

Food nice but had to wait ages. I stood at counter and the man serving didn't look up or acknowledge 3 of us waiting. One woman left. I appreciate it was busy but just a polite 'I'll be with you soon' works wonders.

We had a lovely lunch. Food is so delicious and highly recommend the pulled pork, the soup of the day and smashed avocado on toast. Lovely selection of cakes too which were equally delicious. Highly recommend this quirky friendly cafe

What a lovely little place this was. The staff were lovely, what a smashing place, sat chilled on a Sunday morning

Very nice environment but really let down by service sadly. We were waiting 23 mins for a hot chocolate and another 4 mins for a fruit tea (yes, just a teabag in hot water).

A lovely cosy venue perfect for tea/coffee and lunch during the day (with deli style lunches and delicious cakes) and cocktails on an evening. For those who don't drink they can make up alcohol free cocktails to your taste.

I was a bit early so they allowed to sit and wait. The bacon roll was lovely but if the roll had been warm it would have been even better. Would recommend

We ordered a flat white and a cappuccino. What we got was two lattes. Didnt take feedback well when i commented was told a latte is same as a cappuccino. A cappuccino has a shot of expresso in it and tastes off coffee. Shame as had good coffee b4 has put me off going back.coffee machine looked. Grubby

This is a very small cafe with limited space, however you can sit outside, weather permitting. I would say that they were short staffed as the two coffees ordered took 46minutes to arrive. It was such a long wait that the coffee had to be transferred into take away cups, as our train was due. Was disappointed.

Nice Cuppa...But if outside its paper cups...Good choice of cake...£3.50 a slice...I got basically a "Side Salad" NOT a Greek Salad as stated! for £7!...I could've pushed it to the side of the small plate I had!...Great for a coffee but wouldn't buy food here again!...& it took about 20 minutes to prepare it & a slice of cake before we got it! Thank god it wasn't hot food!

Quaint in a way - lovely location in the old station building. Seats and tables outside could certainly do with replacing - old school furniture from decades ago - but not if it puts prices up - can be crowded at times.

Lovely quirky cafe and dog friendly both inside and outside seating. Sourdough grilled mozzarella, sun-dried tomatoes and pesto, delicious. Oreo hot chocolate was amazing, Jake said. Have visited quite a few times, great little cafe, lovely staff would definitely recommend and will return. Another visit to this gorgeous little gem. Avocado, cream cheese and sun-dried tomato bagel, Delicious. Brioche bacon bun for Jake. Happy days.

Really quirky little cafe in the station building with a fabulous drink and food menu. We popped in for lunch and had delicious fancy toasties on sourdough bread... I wish I had taken a picture! Inside it has a beautiful modern mid-century vibe and has plenty of seating outside too... some covered and some open.
