Had a fantastic few days, Sunday lunch was amazing ( like your grandma used to cook) Karaoke, live music , key to the box Locals are very friendly

Had our first (but NOT the last) mealat the ship..all top rate food ..great service and great atmosphere... am coming again for definite.. A BIG TY TO THE STAFF X

A pleasant, down to earth, old fashioned Pub with friendly customers and staff. It is very Dog friendly. It's not a quiet pub by any means and with Live Music it is positively noisy but whichever the case it has a good and friendly atmosphere. All that's missing is the sawdust really. A good, unpretentious pub.

Always enjoy going to the Ship especially on a Friday night when they have the Kareoke. Very friendly people and always enough staff.

Great little pub, really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and blasted a few numbers on the karaoke.(Friday nights).

A very nice and clean charming pub a little disappointed with the cask ale selection only one hand pull in operation but that said there was a well stock bar of other beers and soft drinks, and a good selection on the optics. If the other two hand pulls had been working it would have earned another Star .

Lovely little put with a comfortable feel about it

Large range of the usual beers. They only can serve 2 proper draught beers (compare with 10 or 13 tankard beers), however, only one has been available for the last few weeks. The food looks look and the staff are friendly. Good beer garden.

The landlady is lovely but her fella isn't so. Bands, music, food. LGBT very unfriendly.

We stopped at this pub with our two border collies and we were delighted that we could take them into the garden. Lovely bar staff were friendly, chatty and smiley! What a pretty garden they have made, with pots of flowers, hanging baskets, and an effusion of colour and summer! We will be back!

Haf an event here recently. They provided a buffet for us which was great. Great value for fabulous quality and quantity of food.

Great friendly little pub, kareoke Friday night, bands on sat night smashing atmosphere they also do lovely Sunday roasts.

Whilst feeling like an extra from the film "cocoon"...sat playing 5s and 3s (dominoes)...I can only say what a smashing atmosphere and host the ship inn has. They put on a great bit of grub and helped create a great atmosphere.

Tiny high Street pub and nothing special. Apparently the beer was good, but I don't drink beer. Has a small beer garden but the inside was cramped

Lovely traditional public house

Went in on Sunday for a Sunday lunch with my husband. We we're warmly met by the landlord and enjoyed having a warm by the real open fire. The pub had a lovely atmosphere & was very clean & homely. We were shown through to the dining room & picked a table in the sunshine. We we're served by two lovely young ladies who were very polite & took our order. We both chose the three meat sunday lunch which included roast beef, pork and chicken served with roast potatoes, 2 Yorkshire pudding, carrots, swede, broccoli & mushy peas & gravy served in a boat on the side & a pot of tea. It was all home cooked with fresh vegetables & beautifully presented & it tasted delicious. It was extteextr good value for money at £6.50 for the dinner & £1 for a pot of tea. Although we didn't have one the choice of desserts was fantastic and all only £2.50. I can't recommend this place enough. Well worth a visit & excellent value for money.

Absolutely great atmosphere great lagers and beers superb friendly staff, customer service is spot on, a lovely little friendly and family pub on the High Street smoking area out the back in beer garden and it is the only pub I know who's fruit machine pays out well a very well known and respected place to go and have a drink, relax and enjoy the environment Taxi rank close by parking and absolutely great place to enjoy a drink🍻

The bar staff have the most disgusting attitude I have ever seen, on the Monday night Jam the barmaid has the worst attitude i have ever known. And it's not a one off, it's EVERY Monday. Quite a few people told me they do not bother going to this pub because of the attitude of the staff. I have never come across anything like it, avoid this pub and go somewhere that would welcome you and your custom.

This really is one of the best pubs in the area. Small and unassuming from the outside, it is warm and cosy inside and always immaculate. The landlord and landlady are really great people and they keep their well-priced beer well. They run open mic and Karaoke nights and have been known to take part themselves.
