One Down in Redcar and Cleveland

Used to love it here, this was our first time since the new owners took over. We ordered 2 pina coladas and a hawian rum punch. Both were watery and lacking flavor and the rum punch had coconut in it?! Don't think we will be back. The atmosphere was a bit flat also, not like it used to be.

Since my last 5* review of The One Down part of the business, things have changed for the worse. We do not use the cafe only the bar on a night. The San Miguel lager that we drink, now £5 a pint. Crazily, the level of the beer served, comes in at a full inch and a quarter below the top of the glass. Barman/Owner very reluctant to top up the beer even to this low level. He was asked twice. One person only, behind the bar, serving up six cocktails to six girls. It took a further 10 minutes to order our beer. Sorry, but your short measures have cost you six regular customers. We like the bar but we won't be back.

Lovely little venue. Staff brilliant too

Great staff with a friendly service, great music nights in here too. recommended as a hidden gem.
