Sunday dinners are fabulous.. looking forward to trying some taster menus.

If the same two women run this establishment then don’t stay there. Terrible attitude and very vindictive in their behaviour on Four in a Bed.

Four seniors meeting up to put the world to rights. We all went with fish and chips (haddock) as it’s traditional for our meetings. The quality of the food and the service were excellent, and equally important we were left alone to chatter through the afternoon because we weren’t bothering anybody. The decor is best described as idiosyncratic but this is a really nice place to go to meet friends.

We went to the Greek taster menu night and it was just a joke. Where was the actual authentic Greek food? Google Greek food it’s not hard to find. We had pitta bread, hummus, tzatziki, aubergine white feta in honey with Greek salad and dry DRY DRY chicken and wet spanakopita. It was utterly disappointing. At least serve something that is authentically greek. Worst thing was it wasn’t a cheap night!! Shame as usually we have a great time here :(

Mediocre springs to mind, very expensive for two Cream Teas. Lovely setting, but the service was weird. Take a look at how poor your staff talk to guests.

I called the in for a drink yesterday I have to say the two kafs behind the bar were the slowest iv ever come across . Totally disinterested.

Because I love Saltburn & I train ride, my husband surprised me with an overnight at this fab hotel. Great double room, spacious, clean & big shower room, free standing bath in the room was a luxurious touch. Lovely bar area & breakfast served in the conservatory was great, plenty of choice, flavoursome coffee (love a cafetière)served by friendly staff, who I don’t think I have persuaded to try swimming in the sea! Will love to stay again.

Only popped in for a latte absolutely beautiful and arrived with a homemade cookie a lovely touch 💕

I attended a friends birthday celebration just recently. Wine had been pre ordered but she had to ask a couple of times for it to be placed on the table. Eventually a rather grumpy lady came over and stated she had been waiting for everyone to be seated before she brought it out. Everyone had been seated for quite a while at this point. This lady continued to be grumpy when serving us for the entire evening. Especially when there was a mix up over vegan and vegetarian orders. The other staff were lovely and very accommodating. It was a shame this one person had to spoil it. The food was average, fish batter very soggy and unappetising and the crème brûlée was very eggy tasting. It was such a shame and I would not return for food on an evening.

Stunning setting squirreled away by woodland. Absolutely beautiful decor, very plush. A large selection of food and drinks and very reasonable prices. Especially their specials on certain days of the week, Absolute bargain! Michelin quality food at mid range prices. Nice selection of gin. Lovely atmosphere.

Attended wedding at this wonderful hotel. The food and service were excellent. For those in a wheelchair just contact the reception, and they will guide and help you.

Haven't stayed overnight... yet.... but have been here for brunch acouple of times. The food is lovely, the service is great and I just LOVE the decor!!! Absolutely fabulous. Looking forward to having date night and evening meal very soon xxx

Great service. Great food. The surroundings however are exquisite. So many beautiful and unique pieces to gaze at. The colours, the lights, the stuffed animals... Not real of course... Its delightful to have coffee or a full meal. Highly recommend a visit.

Yet again a lovely stay here. Mid week supper club offer, including scones and tea, cocktails before dinner, three course meal chosen from any menu, and bed and breakfast. As always wonderful food!

What can I say. This place was such a find a few years ago. My Husband proposed here so it's a special place for us. We were a party of four and we started our evening with cocktails outside and then were shown to our table. The decor is just stunning and eclectic, and I just love the ambiance in the dining room. We opted for the tasting menu and had the wine flight. The wine was paired beautifully, and the food was divine. The staff were friendly and attentive. We had a lovely evening and can't wait to return. Thank you to all the staff . 🙏

I told a young waitress when asked that my steak was over done and she just smiled, then when asked again about my cheese and crackers I told her it was the worst I’ve ever had, I think she thought I was joking which I wasn’t. Twice I’ve been and twice it’s been poor.

I took my friend to Brockley Hall for a birthday lunch which then turned into us staying most of the afternoon as the place is beautiful, the food was first class, staff so friendly and professional. A great atmosphere. We will be returning Highly recommended

What a fabulous place for Sunday lunch! We were warmly greeted upon arriving at this intriguing hotel! Lots of nooks and crannies, with different room settings await you! We were led to our table by a charming lady, who looked after us throughout lunch.The dining room is fascinating, with so much to look at! The menus were then brought across , and drinks order taken. It was so nice to see a decent rose on the list, this is where so many other establishments let themselves down by just offering commercial rubbish eg Zinfandel and Pinot Blush. The lunch itself was first class, with us even managing to get rare sirloin of beef! The lamb was also first class. All in all an extremely pleasant Sunday lunch! Would definitely recommend.

Amazing flavours and fantastic decor. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant. We take a trip here with friends every Christmas.

Another outstanding meal at Brockley, no reservation. Staff were excellent and welcoming, very helpful with young baby and food delicious. Brockley never fail to make guests feel extra special.

We went here yesterday 2/4/23 for the first time to have Sunday lunch. We were hugely pleased and impressed with everything and everyone. Staff were pleasant and efficient and the lunch was the most enjoyable I can recall. Succulent beef, beautifully prepared vegetables, gorgeous gravy and a huge Yorkshire pudding. I don't usually eat Yorkshire puddings but this one I devoured. We shared a dessert which was sumptuous. We will definitely return and maybe stay for one of their many dine and stay offers. Highly recommended.

Had a table booked for 7.30pm arrived at 7pm to have a drink in the bar prior to the meal. Two couples came in after us and were provided with menus - we had to get up and ask the woman at the front of house for our menus who complained that she had to get up again to bring the menus in to us. The other two couples who had come in after us had their orders taken and duly taken to the restaurant for their meal. We had to ask one of the bar staff if we could place our order. After waiting until nearly 8pm without anyone taking our order we left. Nobody from Brockley Hall rang to enquire why we had left - not sure they were bothered. We were treated so badly we were livid. We have had several lovely meals at the Hall before but on this occasion the locals were treated well and made to feel welcomed and valued we were treated like we didn’t even exist. Feel very upset and bruised by the experience.

We’ve often saved a visit to Brockley Hall for special occasions over the years. This year was no different, with a Tasting Menu for our 17th wedding anniversary. Visiting for the first time in at least 3yrs, we were not disappointed. We’ve always had fantastic meals here in the past, but the current Tasting Menu was my favourite yet. This menu seemed the most locally fitting, with seafood well represented - we’re by the sea here, afterall! The crab and steak tartare courses in particular were standout dishes and truly scrumptious! The portions were generous for a tasting menu, with even the largest appetites sure to be satisfied. Most of all though, every course was delicious. My wife is pescatarian and was very well accommodated with the couple of meat dishes that did need swapping out for fish. We often find at other restaurants she gets an inferior vegetarian alternative, but at Brockley Hall was given thoughtful fish alternatives to tempt the most ardent of meat eaters. Service was attentive and friendly, the surroundings boutique and characterful, the decor of the main dining area particularly special. Highly recommend the Tasting Menu.

Excellent service and excellent food in a wonderful setting. The warmth, smiles and attention from the staff were perfect from beginning to end. Menu selection was difficult: great variety, with interesting twists on sauces, dressings and accompaniments. We each chose different fish/shellfish starters, and then tasted both of them. My own main was outstanding: lamb three ways……a croquet of shredded pulled shoulder meat in a crunch shell, a tasty mini-shepherd’s pie, and a perfectly-pink lamb-rack …. gorgeous, and I didn’t share it! Wife had some superbly cooked fish fillets in a very tasty sauce which she absolutely loved. For the main wine I couldn’t choose between two and sought advice from the sommelier…… who offered me a taste of each to help make up my mind. When in the area, this is where we’ll come to eat again.

Another amazing meal served in the fantastic Brockley Restaurant. We arrived to a wonderfully warm welcome and were able to spend a little time in the garden enjoying pre dinner drinks before we were shown to the glamorous and evocative restaurant where the staff treated us like VIP’s, food was amazing and as always Matt the head chef changed things to suit what we wanted as everything is always cooked to order and they always accommodate our needs. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening because of the staff and glorious food, thanks guys. Advice to all, save room for desserts.. mmmnn phenomenal 😊

I was very apprehensive when we pulled up outside. Looking at all the fake plastic flowers above the door. Not a good look. Then walked in. It's a bit overwhelming with the Chinese screen partitions and lots more fake flowers. So the food. My wife...

Wonderful food and a really nice, quirky atmosphere. Faultless. The service was great, the team were friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend.

The food was superb, my menu was crispy hens egg with wild mushrooms and spinach with a hollandaise sauce, wow those flavours absolutely beautiful... Main was sirloin of beef with roast potatoes,with mash also, crispy cauliflower with cheese, sugar snap peas and carrots with a delicious Yorkshire pudding mouth wateringly good and for pudding.... Sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream with extra sticky toffee sauce... Mmmmmm .....initial service was quick but think we we're forgotten about by the end of our main meal which was welcomed actually as main meal was so lovely it needed a little time to be savoured...... All in all a lovely experience which I would like to do again..... Guess what? I did it again...... So tasty those Garlic mushrooms as my starter, my wife had the prawn cocktail which she said was so fresh ....I had Chicken parmesan which came with a lite salad, home made chunky chips along with a salsa and a garlic dip...we both agreed to have a look at the desserts after our main course, I'm so glad as the size of this beautiful "Parmo" which was absolutely gorgeous was more filling than I'd have thought......sticky toffee pudding which I've had before was going to be my choice but alas it was not to be this time....so I'll just have to visit again....👌

Excellent Boutique Hotel. I’ve stayed here a few times over the last 6 months. I’ve stayed in most of the rooms and there are some beauties. The staff are great and you feel pampered in the evening and at breakfast.

Once again fantastic service and food from Brockley Hall, I am a regular customer here, and when anyone asks me if I know of a good restaurant, this is where I send them, safe in the knowledge that they will have a great meal in a beautiful setting.

Had a meal in the dining room Saturday 7th May, the waiter was very condescending, I’d never really been anywhere like this before and was on a date, he made me feel very insignificant as though he knew it was my first experience of being somewhere elegant

1st ever visit to Brockley, will definitely return, it's such a lovely place and the decor is gorgeous. We went for the curry night offer, 2 for £30.00 which included main curry dish, poppadom, nan bread and a drink

Party of 7 for afternoon tea, 2 which were gluten free. Both guests who had the gluten free suffered with stomach upsets later that day. Plus side great staff and no hassle when 1 person was late.

As always interesting decor and good service. Day visits so far must make a point to stay. Will be back, love it.
