First time using this Chinese takeaway, and I was very impressed. Nice warm greeting, I was also informed they have been here since 1970. To survive so long, is testament to the quality of food served. Sue was very funny, they're cash only and do not do delivery, Sue described themselves as traditional old school. Will definitely be using Silver River from now on. Excellent!

Been using this place since the 1990s always great food and friendly staff, I've now moved 10 miles away but still travel here for our takeaways, says it all.

Very good value Chinese take away that has a local 5 Top rated hygiene level and has been in the same family for 50 years. Good priced food that is served in good portions and you won’t go hungry here. The vegetable chow mein had great flavour as did the egg fried rice and the mini vegetable spring rolls - see photos. Cash only - no cards but there is a cashpoint opposite in the Co-Op. Recommended Enjoy

This is a good traditional Chinese that has been with the same owner for around 32 years which is amazing nowadays, the way that restaurants change so often (it has been a Restuarant take away for around 46 years) I used to go here when I was younger but hadn't been back for a while but it hasn't changed and is still great value for money Great customer service and just so friendly too with food cooked while you wait - everything fresh The vegetable curry with vegetable rice was very good and tasty - see photos Recommended - Enjoy

This is a very good Chinese Take away that has been with the same owner for 32 years so that must say how good it is to be going for so long (and as a restaurant for 48 years!) You will find all of the traditional English Chinese dishes here and will not be disappointed as everything is cooked fresh to order but you will not have to wait too long They do not deliver and have collection only as they are a small family business I had the vegetable curry and the vegetable fried rice - see photos - and both were served to me in plastic take away containers - not those terrible foil and card ones You can park on nearby roads easily with no charge and the restaurant is easily wheelchair accessible The prices on the menu are very reasonable Definitely Recommended - Enjoy
