Nice old pub with a cosy log fire. The fish and chips was the best I've had for ages had plenty of other options for food. Good selection of real ales too.

Fell upon this lovely village pub as it was walking distance from my nephews party athe hall just up the road. Welcoming warm fire, welcoming bar staff and landlady and even better the food smelt amazing. We sat opposite the bar and had our table cleaned promptly. We perused the menu not expecting to order food but we did and boy it didn't disappoint! Such generous portio s, home cooked food and great value for money. A real gem! Thank you for making us feel welcome if we're ever back in the area we'll definitely pop in!

Quiet countryside pub, what some would regard as a "proper pub". Lovely atmosphere, welcoming staff and clients alike, open log fire places and a couple of pub dogs. What more do you need?

Lovely pub, the ladies who run the pub are lovely , nothing ever top much trouble. Good selection of beers and food is usually very good in deed. Definitely worth a visit or two

Stayed for 2 nights. The owner and bar staff were efficient, friendly and really helpful giving information about the area and showing us around the accomodation. When the owner realised we were visiting for my partners cancer treatment at Cottingham Centre she asked if we would like the heating left on continuously. Thank you that was really appreciated. The accomodation was well furnished and very well maintained and clean. I would recommend without hesitation and will return. Lovely location, quiet surrounded by open countryside a resident pony and close to Beverley. Great stay many thanks

Came here for lunch. Always a lovely, warm, friendly welcome from the ladies behind the bar. The fire was lit and smelt amazing. The food was delicious. Really nice fresh salad to go with my gammon. Generous portion sizes, too. Definitely recommend it and will be back again soon.

Our first trip to this lovely traditional pub, we will be back, great food and service.

Thought we would treat ourselves with it being bank holiday so decided to have a ride out to here. Well we waited nearly an hour for a microwaved pie, chips and mushy peas. Just short of £12 each and it was horrible. There was something hard under my peas god knows what it was. Told the staff and they did nothing about it . We have had lots of lovely meals there but this was our last one. No excuses wakdt particularly busy either.

Booked in here for an overnight stay. The room was lovely and well furnished with a nice added touch of continental breakfast in the room. We also went to the pub for some food. Tasty delicious and well priced proper pub grub that seems to have disappeared these days from eateries these days. It was also full of locals chatting and having banter at the bar. Highly recommended.

Fab pub and rooms. Such a friendly welcome when we arrived and throughout our stay. Continental breakfast in rooms was a great touch. Would definitely stay again.

Don't know about the hotel side of things, as we're local, but the pub and beer garden are great. Friendly staff, excellent service and great food. A much easier walk than anticipated as well. Looking forward to trying out the Sunday roast next time, it comes highly recommended!

The Ship Inn dunswell is a proper traditional friendly village pub. Four cask conditioned real ales, exactly what a good pub should offer, but not very common these days. It's a lovely cosy pub with real fires and excellent traditional pub food. There is a lot of outside seating to the side of the pub, and a very nice garden with more seating at the back. Dogs must be kept on a lead as there are some lovely rare breed chickens free roaming in the back garden. The pub also offers plenty of accommodation in cabins behind the pub. Decent sized car park. A great pub highly recommended.

This is a lovely cosy pub with a roaring fire. The food is very nicely presented, although a little expensive for a pub. No gluten-free options.

Absolutely unbeatable, lucky that this is my local. Always warm and welcoming and barstaff are always great too. Food is all home cooked, absolutely lovely and amazing value . 6 out of 5 stars for me
