Always a laugh and great service.

I belong to a crib team, Sheild and dagger is going to host us. So far we haven't experienced the food aspects. But it was a very nice place to be.

Decent local pub for a few beers.

Great friendly pub, lots of parking and good selection of beers.

Lovely place, with a friendly atmosphere. We're not local but this is our new local now.

Always a cracking laugh. The toilets could do with being updated as seats falling off almost every single one in the ladies. Great deals on shots 😂🤗

Good all-around pub , cheap beers compared to my local pub.

Went to a quiz night here a couple of weeks ago. Haven't been here for years, but pleasantly surprised. Really nice layout, immaculate.

Community pub. Large, noisy, but doing business. Would go again.

Our friends funeral wake was at The Shield and Dagger they put on a very fine spread and there was plenty of room for everyone to sit/stand to reminis about our friend

This was really first time I had been to this pub and I found it to be very friendly and nice. Staff were brilliant. I would recommend this pub. 27th November 2021.

Nice place to sit outside in the sun.. I haven't sat in although it seemed nice, the only food they do is pizza though.

The condition of the cask ale I had (on this occasion Timothy Taylor's Landlord) was superb, and at a great value price too. The only downside was no volume on the TV whilst watching the football, whilst the jukebox/background music played at a loud volume. The quality of the beer made up for this though.

Had our 30th wedding anniversary here, it was the perfect venue, too bad hardly anyone showed up, all that wasted food.. :(

Wonderful pub with friendly staff and a lovely function room. Service was quick and with a smile. The landlady was very generous and kind to offer us the function room for our charity event on a regular basis. Maybe I'm a bit strange but I always think that the toilets are a place to gauge if somewhere is quality and they were lovely and clean! I look forward to frequenting this establishment on a more regular basis. I had to rate the food on this app as it wouldn't let me leave it blank- i didn't experience the food so cant comment.

Attended a baby shower here a few years back. The staff were friendly and the drinks prices were reasonable. It is located not too far from the local shops and has plenty of parking.

Very clean and good choice of beers but it needs a baby changing facilities band great ran out of carling and double booked toxic what a shambles

The pub has been refurbished. Do not serve food but drinks are very cheap, have a pool table and a great juke box

Sport pub beer real ale good value.

I called in over Xmas to see for myself ( someone told me it had cheap drinks). On entering the pub it has changed a lot, totally. They have large televisions on every wall and the decor has been upgraded (much brighter). I ordered a pint of Wadworth 6X the price was £2, yes £2, I nearly fell over. They did have a lot of trouble pouring the ale it was very lively it took a long time to pour a pint, I am not sure what the trouble was. I shall have to return to check to see if they have remedied the problem. Overall the pub is on the up, over the years it had lost a lot of customer's.

First time there went to watch a friend play in league tournament, was good for first impressions.

Very enjoyable evening the venue was very busy but staff all ways served straight away also football on the tv so I recommend anyone that hasn't been should do bar prices are cheaper than most clubs darling £2.60 a pint a bargain

Good coverage of Sports on TV and reasonable decor. Prices currently best in area and good selection of drinks. Better than your average Pub.

I saw a Labrador walk himself home from here on a Monday!! The double take moment was when I saw the same dog! Order two Coors light, a Guinness, one Shandy Bass, two Carling and a bag of Cheesey Moments. What a lad!!

Proper pub. Decent and prices. Exceptional landlady. Does tend to close early. Really wonderful regulars.

The place is well overdue a refurb! The whole place stinks of stale fags. And the landlady was a bit of a misog too!

Absolutely love there Sunday carvery. Only sorry to hear they will no longer being doing food after the refurb.

I went there for a Sunday roast at the weekend and it was beautiful, great staff, prompt service and great food, I would definitely recommend this pub!

Much nicer than it looks from the outside. There's not that many pubs round here so it gets 4 stars for having nice relaxed people inside and selling a glass of passable red wine. Looks like the food is well rated especially the Sunday roast. Big dining room. Dogs are allowed in the main bar and there's some outside seating
