The Pantry Coffee Shop in Swindon

Food is decently priced but the jacket spud was served lukewarm and the sausages seem like the cheapest they could get. My partner said they reminded him of college cafe sausages.

We love this little cafe, when we have abit of time we walk the dogs to here and sit outside and have a spot of lunch, I love the BLT panini and my wife has the sandwich BLT we have a lovely black coffee which is smooth to the taste not to smokey. The girls that work there are fab, love coming out and seeing the girls and are always so polite and chatty. We love our little hour here

Hadn't visited before this morning (30-Sep) but, will definitely be back :) Everything was spotlessly clean, staff were warm and friendly and the Full English breakfast was delicious.

I had the best bacon baguette here today. Freshly made to order, even the bacon was cooked whilst I waited. There were plenty of customers enjoying a cooked breakfast or just tea or coffee and it had a great friendly atmosphere.

I was really impressed by the prices and the ladies are lovely, the food was tasty, and the kitchen is visible and looked clean which is always reassuring. I have knocked off a star for being too efficient - when me and my six-year-old popped to the loo, leaving our jackets and shopping at the table, we came back to find our table being cleared before we'd finished. I can see the funny side, and the young lady seemed gutted!

I love this place, we visit often for lunch and always have a pleasant experience. Good service, food is lovely and brought out quickly and just a really nice place to stop and have a cuppa (and sometimes a cheecky cake).

Not bad not great, average. It filled a gap. Very little atmosphere, staff were pleasant enough. Clean and tidy. The cook was eating whilst cooking which I find a little off and put raw bacon next to cooked sausage on her grill, not the best.

Excellent breakfast, freshly cooked and super ingredients, best bacon I have ever had on an English breakfast, my good lady had a toasted tea cake with jam and butter , I had an excellent earl grey tea and my good lady had a latte ( nice and hot too) , we have always had good food, breakfasts and snacks here , but haven't been for a while , it's great to know that the excellence is still as good , well done all 👍🏻

First visit for 3 of us. Came recommended. We had lunch- jacket potatoes with various fillings for 3 of us. They were good size and tasty. Decent coffee too but one member of staff was rude to me and another customer in the cafe and also overheard being abrupt on the phone. This would put me off visiting again in the future

Small cafe, offering light bites and simple quality hod value grub. Popped in today with family and enjoyed small breakfast and jacket with fillings and drinks for under £20.

I have been collecting a breakfast each morning for a friend for the last few weeks and can honestly say the services from all the ladies has been exceptional. Nothing is to much trouble and they have been extremely accommodating with my request... Also the breakfast is good and always steaming hot!

Great priced full breakfast but sadly fir cheap produce. The sausages were inedible. Staff not as friendly as reviews suggest but probably having an off morning.

I was in wood street swindon waiting for the chemist to open so i popped into this lovely little cafe and treated myself to one of their breakfasts. I had the full breakfast at £5.95 . 2 sausages 2 bacon 2 eggs 2 hashbrowns mushrooms beans and toast. Firstly the breakfast came out within 6 mins it was piping hot, if i have to give a negative it is that i prefer my sausages to be more browned off but this is my own preference. The staff were all friendly and after i had eaten they asked if everything was ok and also said enjoy the rest of your day. I would definitely come back as not only was the breakfast big and piping hot the prive was so cheap for all what i had and great service from the staff. Parking at the front for an hpur if you can get a space but if not there is payment parking near the back of the cafe .

Very friendly relaxed atmosphere to this cosy coffee shop. We had breakfast which was well cooked. Eggs were perfect and looked like farm eggs. Very enjoyable.

Best breakfast close to my work. The large breakfast which is 2 egg, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2 hash browns, toast, beans and mushrooms is about a fiver which is pretty decent to be fair but then adding a coffee bumps the price right up unfortunately. Was £7.20 for the breakfast and coffee which seems a bit high. I’d still go back, but a coffee or tea should be cheaper with a meal or free in my opinion..

Lady was nice and polite. Bit slow to get order done for an average sarnie , coffee good though.

I came in here to get takeaway coffee and sandwich I am really impressed with the service and food a drink . I hope to come there again soon. 😄

Reasonably priced, clean and pleasant cafe. They do a good sized portion of food. Friendly staff and they were kind enough to wrap up the rest of my sons sandwiches when he didn't eat it all. Have been there a couple of times so far and will probably return when I'm next up that way.

Great value for money, i go in the Pantry mainly for a Jacket Potato take-away due to being on a quick lunch break. Great value for money, always remember my order and the best jackets and fillings with coleslaw and a side salad. Delicious!

Great value, excellent service & food

Had to pop into old town to visit opticians, and dropped in here afterwards for breakfast, fast and efficient service, excellent food ( two English breakfasts, one small one full) nice and hot, one hot latte coffe , which my wife loves as normally latte’s are not all that hot at other establishments, and one pot of Earl Grey tea. Place was nice, clean and tidy with enough room between tables to ensure enough room to be comfortable.

Love this place. Warm friendly welcome everytime. Food excellent and prompt.

I had met up with friends I used to go hiking with, some 30 years ago, we met through Scouting. They visited me, and stayed overnight in our guest room. Having cooked the evening meal, I had no appetite to cook them breakfast, but elected to go to the Pantry. I had heard good things, and was not disappointed. They both had full breakfasts, with toast, hot drinks. Me being fussy, asked if I might have 3 eggs, 3 sausages and mushrooms with toast a and a large Americana. It was the best breakfast I have had, cooked to perfection, and the service was excellent, as was the opinion of my two friends. Highly rated in my opinion. I informed them too.

The food was nice and the service was also good, staff there were really friendly however, the atmosphere was very bad. The whole cafe was silent and it felt really awkward eating there. I would recommend maybe the radio playing in the background?

After finding the Pantry by accident when we arrived in Swindon and enjoying perfect scrambled eggs on toast, we've popped back for a quick pick-me-up each morning before the day gets going. The coffee is really excellent.

me and a friend were walking along wood street looking for a breakfast place. We hate chains and spotted this little place. It is your proper old school friendly welcome and customer service with very decent prices. We both had a big breakfast which was cooked to perfection. Great experience.

My husband and I have our cooked breakfast here every Saturday. Always a warm welcome. Very clean and excellent value. Staff are very accommodating if you wish to swap items in the set breakfasts. Lovely coffee and an ever changing selection of homemade cakes. Have occasionally had lunch here and that's always good too.

Saw the ratings online so thought I would give this place a go with my dad... was a cold atmosphere the staff look over when you eat, none of the ladies gave a smile. Seams as though they buy the cheapest and sell at a big expense not good value for money. Looked like two eye lashes on my plate/hair. Food was not great at all! Hash browns were awful quality as well as the meat, ritchmans like pinky mushy sausage.. they need a whole revamp!

Not good... Service awkward and staff not very friendly. Poor cold decor, no music or radio. Hairs on plate, worst sausages iv ever had. Staff kept looking over giving us funny looks. Very over priced. Wouldn't go back.

We stopped off at the Pantry cafe for a full breakfast and lovely it was!The eggs were fried to perfection, runny in the middle but not greasy. The bacon was thick and succulent ans the hash browns were golden and crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside! Overall it was superb!Very good value for money too.The staff are friendly and forthcoming and the fact that it’s a family business is a bonus!Highly recommend!

Slow service and well over priced .. i asked for a bacon roll was told they dont do rolls only sandwhiches i then asked how much is the bacon sandwich to which i was told £3.25 as there was two of us that would of cost £6.25 which i think is an outrageous price. i do a lot of work in central London by tower bridge where youd expect to pay the same price but i can tell you i can get 2 egg and bacon rolls plus teas for £5.85 the pantry is clearly taking advantage of being the only cafe in old town .i wont be going back and will tell all i know to AVOID

Great place to have a traditional English breakfast

Popped in, on the off chance for a breakfast and coffee, with toast. A freshly cooked gorgeous breakfast, toast with soft butter, and a lovely hot coffee. Couldn't fault it, highly recommended.

Such a cozy place which I love and really enjoy my breakfasts.

It's just so great to have a standard "set breakfast" where there's enough beans on your plate to finish off your toast... Heaven. That simple pleasure aside it's so good I'm going back tomorrow.

The Pantry is one of Swindon's best family run cafés. The staff is remarkably friendly and professional. The coffee is fantastic. The food, which is freshly prepared daily, is simply delicious. And the deserts. Oh my, the deserts. Home made slices of heaven. Can't recommend this place enough.

Went here with some friends, even though it was late in the afternoon there was a good selection of cakes. We all had a different cake, the portions were generous and of a good spongy texture. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good choice of coffee.

On my last visit (and I think it could be my last) I order the coronation chicken sandwich as coronation chicken is a real favourite of mine, however if was very disappointing. Coronation chicken is not to me some over dry chicken in nothing but mayo & curry powder! Where were the spices, apricots, almonds, raisins or sultana's?

My boyfriend and I have been going together for 3 years and myself a further 1 year or so. We love it!

We visited for the first time with our children recently, the coffee shop had a nice range of sandwiches, jacket potatoes and breakfast based meals. The children were offered colouring on arrival which as a nice touch. The food was tasty and fresh we will be back.

I enjoy going to this coffee shop as it is friendly and reasonably priced. Light snacks and drinks are available at very good prices...just good, solid, homely food. The sandwiches are tasty, as is the soup and I was even happy to have poached eggs on toast. The cakes look good too. I think it is mostly made on the premises... which is I always appreciate.
