We ordered two of the steak and caramelised onion ciabatta sandwich with chips which cost £12.50 each on arrival of the food the steak was gray and the onions were also discoloured. The steak was over cooked and chewy the onions were wet and very watery the sandwich was tasteless and the meat inedible the frozen chips were also hard in the middle. When highlighting this to one of the staff I was assured they had never received any complaints before no apology or offer of an alternative instead the food was taken back to the kitchen. The server reluctantly offered a refund still no apology and all the time undermining everything I said by reiterating that they have never had a complaint before. The whole situation was handled poorly the food was sub standard and I suspect the items we had were frozen and then microwaved. They are charging premium prices for poor quality food. We were a party of three 2 of us got the steak sandwich 1 panini 2 cokes a tea and we were £48.20 so you would expect homemade food at a decent standard. I found the staff rude and abrasive and would definitely not recommend it. The whole cafe set up is style over substance !!

Chicken claimed to be breast of chicken, it looked and tasted more like chicken from a bone. Husband had macaroni, said Lidl’s taste better. It was busy, however not just for the money I would say I can make nicer food myself, was a bit disappointed. Unfortunately won’t be back.

Poor quality compared to other garden centres nearby Soup did not resemble chicken and rice but merely watery stock with some carrots and rice! Coffee was not barista made and staff who are mostly very young need to concentrate on customers instead of chatting amongst themselves Goulding us miles ahead and cheaper

You know not to expect much when the menu thinks Tempura is Pakora. Visited here for lunch what can I say? The soup was good burgers and fish poor to average. I could be wrong but I suspect a microwave was involved as the bun was scaldingly hot can't say the same for the burger itself nor the flabby fish. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible.

Been before so really thought I knew what to expect, but alas this time a bit disappointed. I chose a prawn salad and my dining partner chose a ham salad. A very disappointing plate arrived - a "pile" of prawn cocktail and a very sad looking excuse for salad! 2 slices of cucumber, 1 tiny piece of a tomato,a pile of lettuce sprinkled with a few shreds of peppers and a sliver of carrot. Not enough to call it a salad, and certainly not enough to fill you. Very uninspired and the Ham salad did not fair much better, added to the plate was a small pot of coleslaw and a small pot of "crushed" pineapple - sorry but really disappointed this time, served on huge plates. If and when I go back I will avoid the salad selection. The only thing that I can think is that the cost of these salads looks VERY reasonable, but I would suggest - increase the price and give us a decent plateful, this is letting you down. |Average rating for food based on what I had today.

I visited on Wednesday to see how it was after the refurbishment. It was well worth the visit. It has been done up beautifully and tastefully. The food was still up to the high standard it was always at. There is now more space to move around than previously. Good Food, Beautiful surroundings, and very friendly staff. Well worth a visit, but go early,as it gets very busy around lunchtime. as it gets very

The tables are very close together in seried ranks, feels very crowded and claustrophobic. It wasn't that busy when we were there but if it were full it would feel very hemmed in. And noisy. The décor is very dated, needs a makeover. The fake cane chairs and the glass topped tables - which stuff slides off towards you - are very old fashioned but not old fashioned with character and charm. If I hadn't had mum with me, I would have turned around and gone elsewhere but having got her out the car, we went in. We had tea and some cake which was fine. My mum and a lot of her friend go there and like it, so I am outnumbered. But I disliked the room so much I would find it hard to like the food. There is a wide range of home made cakes, and they do soups, sandwiches, snacks and main meals. Can only comment on what we had which was fine. It appeals to its audience, and is no doubt very popular with the people who go regularly. Many of the customers are elderly, some walking with sticks, so the way it is laid out is very unfriendly, as it is a real squeeze to get to tables - and even worse with it being counter service, struggling with trays to get to them. It's probably been left a bit behind by some of its competitors. I would have to be dragged back. The shopping experience is a bit mixed, there are some nice kitchen items and some very odd choices. Pictures and lamps were a very odd mixture.

My wife and I visit this restaurant 2 or 3 times per week it is a very homely and friendly establishment the meals are very good and the home baking is excellent in my opinion the Cheese scones are to die for. They also have a good selection of gifts from clothing, handbags to kitchen products.

This is a very popular family run garden centre and cafe in the Clyde Valley in an area well served by competitors, so to keep such a strong following is an achievement. The coffee shop has been extended and a new table control system gets over a problem previously experienced at busy times of ordering food but not having anywhere to sit afterwards. However there are problems with their ordering "system". On no less than three recent visits they got our order wrong in one way or another, either missing out items or getting things wrong. They need to get a more efficient system in place. The cafe has a nice decor and a pleasant outlook, but the tables are very close together giving the place a slightly claustrophobic feel when busy. The garden plants area is not the best in the valley but they do have an attractive pictures/art area as well as the usual gift ideas. On a recent visit there were signs of work taking place possibly to extend the sales area and hopefully extend their appeal also to make this more of a destination rather than just somewhere else to visit.

This place no longer serves food which is a let down. It was empty as a result other than 2, 30something's still drunk shouting sectarian bile whilst being pandered to by the barmaid who was either on her phone of outside smoking! This used to be a great pub but seems it's just a place for yobs getting out their face now!

Ordered through the app and drinks came to table nice and quick. A short wait for food but not too long. Fish was overdone and curled up likely cooked too hot. It was a little thin and dry. Korean chicken and coconut rice was ok but basically chicken nuggets and a sticky sauce so nothing special. It's wetherspoons though so expectations were not high to begin with.
