Bothwell Roadchef in South Lanarkshire

It is not a stop for drivers, there are no hygienic bathrooms, there are no showers, in fact there is nothing better to close

It's a motorway service nothing special at this one 🥱🥱🥱

Clean and tidy. All you need when you have to stop on the way

SNAP. I recommend excellent parking to everyone. The place has always been standing, forty-five parking lots are 90% empty. For 3 pounds you get a voucher for 10 pounds, and spend it in the store. I personally bought five chocolates for 3 pounds. You won’t spend much at the cafe because they have coffee and cakes. There is lidl 2.5 km away. 3.4 km Tesco.

Brilliant for dogs who need a leg stretch!! Lots of grassy areas, outside picnic table and bins. The loos are a bit tired, but they did the job and had soap and warm water. Staff at the Costa were both lovely and after paying Highlands prices for coffee and cake etc recently, the prices seemed like a bargain 😂😂 Will definitely stop here again when travelling with our dogs.

Outdated location, you pay for truck parking and in the evening you don't have a toilet, I don't recommend the location for truck drivers, old shower that doesn't even close without a mirror, old toilets, it's closed in the evening, you don't have access to the toilet Too old😔😔 people inside very bored

Snap parking. The place can be found at any time. The parking lot has fresh asphalt. You can take a £10 voucher for a £3 meal, but the lack of McDonald's will prevent you from spending it properly. There is one shower with hot water.

Missing a fast food place and only one shower.

Poor as it's only got a shop and coffee. So it's not a proper service station

A pretty decent motorway services, clean toilets and and easy to navigate car park.

I have just driven all the way from Skye, Laila was closed by a few seconds but kindly made a tea for me. I have to get to Manchester tonight and I'm so happy she helped me get home. Such a pleasure to have been taken care of by her at this stage of the journey. A small pleasantry while on the road as an international traveler.

The team at Costa Bothwell M74 services always greet you with a smile and friendly banter, no matter how busy or quiet they are. Paulina, ably assisted by Layla and Asmara go the extra mile wherever possible (even chasing customers onto coaches with their drinks before they leave ). Always a pleasure to visit and a good reason to stop during any busy day - 6/5 stars in my book all day long 👍🏻

The name is misleading. Roadchef. You'de expect to find something to eat. Nothing there. Was in and out in a flash.

Not my favourite Motorway service station, but then sometimes you just need to stop somewhere. It's small and it lacks most of the things you'll find in larger service stations. The toilets were filthy when I visited, there were broken toilet seats and were in a pretty disgusting state. The gentleman's toilet lacked a sign. These things are here for a reason, but this one doesn't feel welcoming and does not want l make you want to sit down and stay. Clean it up and make a few improvements and I'm sure that it could all change.

Had amazing service from Laila at Bothwell services today, so friendly and helpful.

Basic services provided, limited choices. Shower was clean Yet there's no hooks inside, a small bench is just about enough to keep your things dry off the floor. The shower curtain is just dropping inside the cubicle and even by being careful the floor will be wet. Some planning and organising is necessary to use this facility. A door mat is usually good to have to keep your feet dry. The shower was strong enough and hot To shave you'll need to use the main toilet area, no hooks there either to hang clothes. The only place to sit is the Costa coffee area and there aren't any electric plugs to power a laptop or recharge a phone for example.

Woman working at Costa shop was unreal absolutely grafted for the hour my bus came in for our stop.

Popped into the Costa here for a much needed caffeine hit and was really impressed. I was served by a Kerry who obviously knew her job inside out and was friendly throughout. The place was clean and welcoming, would definitely return.

Always great service here. Friendly staff and good banter.. they know their regulars and what they order. Handy to charge your car too and do admin work.

Road marking in carpark were confusing

Stopped at services and popped on to WH Smith’s the lady service was amazing very knowledgeable and couldn’t do enough to help with screen wash options and even helped with refilling water bottles to top up the car.

Nice quiet stop off. Clean toilets.

What a disappointing place to stay. The truck park is in complete darkness, the only shower was flooded, and nowhere for any hot food although there is a microwave available. I'll risk getting an infringement rather than stay here again

Costa coffee shop within the road chef is a class above the machines in the petrol stations and shops. The services are good and and toilets are very clean. Outside area is well looked after and nicely landscaped. The girls working in Costa are obviously trained in coffee making from scratch,polite and always serve you with a smile.

Absolutely amazing Costa! You don’t normally see reviews hyping up costa motorway services, or motorway services at all for that matter. But the service was great, staff were friendly, even brought us our food, felt like a cozy restaurant!

I was served this morning by Kerry at Bothwell services, with a cheerful friendly smile. She is polite, approachable and engages in conversation making my day a little bit brighter. Small motorway service station. With coffee shop and small retail outlet. Toilets are clean. Staff friendly. Only accessible if going southbound leaving Glasgow.

Only went in for a toilet break , Fuel was expensive with being around 30 pence dearer than the high street

Thankfully stopped for fuel before hitting this place, as it was clichéd motorway premium prices. Toilets were a bit grim and food a little steep and meh. If you need to stop, you need to stop. One upside is that there were no dramas parking as there were plenty of spaces. Not the longest slip roads, if you're towing a caravan or are in an HGV, must feel a little sketchy!

After a long, tiring journey, we ( all four persons in the car ), decided that a stop and coffee would be a good idea. Within minutes we were into Bothwell serviced ( M74 southbound ). We were made most welcome by the Costa staff who were on duty. It felt like they were happy to see us and were happy to chat. The staff ( Amy in particular ), were very helpful and showed great interest in talking about our journey. Amy went on to help me with an issue I had with my ‘Costa loyalty card’ that had been bothering me for some time, slso explaining the recent changes, as to its usage. I am very happy with the service at this coffee stop. Your staff there, are a really good ambassadors for your company. Best Costa experience, for some time. I will re-visit and recommend to friends. Services clean and tidy. Not many facilities are available, though. So nothing to eat for us.

Passed by this many times but happened to be coming past in the evening rush hour into Bellshill so came in for respite. Surprised by how much grass outside - which was nice. Not a large services but seems to be invaluable for transport drivers and has a few outlets. Has a couple of EV chargers but not sure if it's going to get a bunch more at the boundary between the lorry and car parks. Will be more likely to stop off here in the future.

Well.. pulled in and lorry park was half empty and car park had at best 4 or 5 vehicles.. no wonder because there is sod all inside! No hot food on offer. Luckily I keep food in my truck so it didn't matter, only 1 shower which in fairness they mopped and cleaned before I went in and toilets were clean. I'd stop here again as long as hot food isn't needed

I'm a hgv driver and never in my life I stop at this service again because you don't have anything to eat first of all and secondly I put diesel And that gentleman at the cash register is a very big liar and you can't cooperate with them it's a disaster the parking lot for the truck is good but you don't have anything to eat you have absolutely nothing and a very small shower of 55 cm², which you have no place in it service zero stars

Car park terrible like a duck pond when it rains,worst motorway toilets I have ever used no Cafe rest room, just standard filling station shop, probably the moast expensive diesel In the UK .at that price the taps should be gold plated
