Very well pleased to have a Indian place in the UK. When at the last after having the delicious food, we informed Mr. Iqbal that our daughter is having her birthday today, he arranged a cake for my daughter and played the birthday song for her and that was too over whelming. We went as a group of 10 people and we all have varying tastes and requirements. We were greeted by lovely staff and we were looked after by a girl call Damini. She was absolutely brilliant. She catered for everything we needed and more. We had 4 kids with us and they got all they wanted and we all had a great time. Only stopped in for a quick drink and snack. But, food we ordered was great. Drinks options were plenty. Cocktails were made super fast. Plenty of seating, and outdoor terrace was really nice too in the warm weather.

One of the best mixed grills I've had!

Very busy place, especially over the weekends. Always crowded. Its a shame that the kitchen closes at 10:30pm. Nice bar, good ambience, pool table, BBQ Indian food, party hall for function. What more can you ask for? Approach road is terrible. Parking is a nightmare especially if there the party hall is hired. Loud Bhangra music by DJ; you need to shout at your table if you want someone to hear. Slow service because the kitchen is always busy . Sometimes cold food is served, especially the bread. Staff are courteous and polite.

I went sheep's car this week on Tuesday with my family. We had an mind blowing experience out there. Great service provided by all the staff . Ambience attracted me the most ,specially those murals . Must say the food is top notch and the mixed grill was the best . Parveen was really friendly , checked with us multiple times if everything's alright and gave us complimentary birthday cake, appreciated. Overall we really enjoyed our meal .

Very disappointed. My son raves about this place, and said we should come. We came for a family meal. After waiting an hour, because our order had not gone through to the kitchen, but the £122 had. Just wondering how long it would have taken if we had not asked where our food was. Other customers came into the bar turned up after us , ordered their food, and had finished their food before ours arrived. As our food eventually came in bits randomly, the place became full of rowdy lads on the pool tables still in their work clothes, next to our booked table. No apology or anything as our food came out one dish at a time.Items were still missing, by this time, we had had enough, ate some of what turned up. We have lost our appetite by this time. The food is very good of what we ate, but the whole experience was ruined early on and we just wanted to get out of there. Our son is not raving too much now. I suppose table 13 is unlucky then

It’s always a delight coming to Sheepscar Bar & Grill. Lots of food options and the vegetarian dishes are gorgeous. The family are regularly visitors and will be back soon and we are well looked after by the staff.

The best restaurant in leeds by far, we,ve been coming every weekend and sometimes during the week for almost 3 years now with friends and family and it’s never disappointed 😁 it’s that good I’ve recommended it to my work colleagues and many more. My recomended dish has to be the Mixed grill 😁 absolutely astonishing must I say and not to mention Suvhil the manager who always greats us with a big smile and is always on hand to make sure our service and needs are met (We thank you)

Edited to add: In response to my review, the restaurant asked me to contact them on Instagram where they sneakily offered £50 for my next visit in exchange for deleting my Google review. This is not "making things right" for me but a bribe to protect their reputation. It shows their utter lack of care for their customers: they don’t offer a voucher because they care about my experience but because they care about their Google reviews. A better approach would have been to address the issue directly, apologize sincerely, and offer compensation or a goodwill gesture without conditions. This would have shown a genuine commitment to improving customer experience and maintaining integrity. --- Last Friday, my friend and I, along with our four children (including a baby), arrived at Sheepscar Bar and Grill at 3.50. they told us to come back at 4 pm when the restaurant opens. When we went to the bar to order our food, they failed to inform us that the kitchen wouldn’t open for another hour. This marked the beginning of our disappointing experience. After a long wait and wondering why, as we were the only customers, I inquired about our food at the bar. It was only then that they informed us of the kitchen’s opening time. They should have mentioned this when we placed our order, especially since we had young children with us and didn’t even order drinks. Instead of taking responsibility, they suggested we should have checked Google for the kitchen’s opening times. Who does that after receiving information from the staff? Adding to our frustration, they didn't bring us water despite my request when I ordered the food. When I asked if their vegetarian curries were vegan (the menu didn't specify, although other dishes were clearly labeled), two staff members gave conflicting information. One said they weren't vegan, while another checked with the kitchen and confirmed the vegetable curry was vegan and the chana masala could be made vegan by omitting the cream dressing. I requested a very mild chana masala to share with my children, but the curry they served was spicy, making it inedible for my son. Though they replaced it with a milder version, my son was still hungry but was put off by the spicy one and didn’t dare try the mild version. By the time the food arrived, my baby was too tired and started crying, refusing to eat. Had we known the kitchen opened an hour later, we would have left, as waiting with children was very difficult. Despite the sunny weather, they seated us inside without offering the option to sit on the terrace. These last points are minor compared to the long wait and indifferent staff. When we complained, they didn’t seem to care. They gave us a piece of cake in a takeway container as consolation when we left the restaurant, which was pointless since half of us are vegan. To top it off, the manager approached me while I was eating to ask if my payment had gone through, causing unnecessary stress. I told them I would check after eating but ended up doing it while I was eating because I was worried about my payment. This was highly inappropriate. Although the curry was good, we couldn’t enjoy our meal due to the appallingly bad service. This experience proves that even the best food can be ruined by poor service.

I visited Sheepscar yesterday, it was such a great experience!! I was welcomed by Damini, she is really sweet and made sure to give us a good table as we asked for, the food was really nice and Damini kept checking on us and make sure that everything was on point. She aced her job and so did sheepscar with their food!! Highly recommend!! 👍🏻

I had an amazing experience in Sheepscar. I went with my friends a couple of days ago and I had such a fun time. The grill was delicious and plenty for me and my friends. The food quality and service was amazing. Our server miss vaishnavi was kind and loving. One of my friend had a nut allergy and the bar staff took proper care of our order.

Went to SHEEPSCAR Bar and Grill today and it wasn't very busy yet. Was attended to by Damini and Sudhir.. Costumer service is top notch 💯💯.. The food was really nice and appetising. Well cooked and hot... Definitely coming back again.

As Midlander, I happened to be in Leeds this weekend and was curious about this mixed grill place having been at least 50 times to about 20 different like establishments in my neck of the woods over the years. As far as I am aware this is the only one in Leeds. First impressions, its a great place with an abundance of TV screens all around so you never miss a minute. There are pool tables which is a plus. Staff I found were all attentive, polite and helpful. It was rammed because the England match was on and they coped very well. Menu has a fusion of Indian and Pub food. We ordered a Mixed Grill and Lamb Curry. Wings, Fish and Chicken Tikka were well cooked and flavoured. The kebab wasn't great but the lamb chops were tender. Lamb Curry was disappointing in the small serving and more peppers than meat and at £13 wasn't cheap. The equivalent in Brum is £9 and a generous meat portion as it should be. As more mixed grill places will probably pop up around Leeds to compete, they'll have to keep their high level consistency, happy to return and chill out here again. One mention is that the place was mixed with Asians and English people all enjoying themselves which is cool as some places back home are one demographic dominant due to their location. Drinks were about £7 for 2 large cokes and draught beer was a good selection.

I am ashamed to give sheepscar a 1 star wouldn't even get a rating for me. Change your staff..our food came out at 8-25pm we got told we had to get off the table at 9pm not enough time to enjoy our food..

Went for a meal for my birthday The mixed grill is amazing as have ordered Takeway from here before and the curry was amazing just how I like it . Staff were great especially the woman behind the bar so friendly and helpful . Quick service with a friendly smile . Only downside was the cricket on and the big noisey group whistling and cheering and jumping about , so you could hardly hear yourself talk which was a shame . But would highly recommend this place to anyone for eating in or Takeway’s x

A pint of coke and half of lager £8.20. Food ok. Lamb was very strong in taste. Added one ingredient which was specifically requested not to be. Was empty on arrival but had to check if we could be seated as we had no reservation. It was still 3/4 empty on leaving. Uncomfortable hard high chairs. Cold due to people constantly opening the doors onto the outside area. Music very loud. Staff inattentive.

The food was fantastic, fresh and delicious. The servers were so attentive and eager to please. We had regular curries but saw some of the grill orders which looked awesome. This is our second time as it’s close to St James’s hospital so could come in for a quick meal between visiting hours and they made us welcome without a pre-booking. Thanks to all the staff.

Good food but not so good service. We waited nearly half an hour for our table to be cleared while we sat back at chatted. A waitress came up and told us the people had arrived for the next reservation... but we needed our table to be cleared as we were taking food away and nobody checked. For the prices they're charging I don't feel it's justified.

Told to collect our order for a meal at home a 6.20. 7.10 it was ready. My partner sat in their restaurant wasting our Friday night for 50 minutes. Get it home, it's cold (a 5 min drive) and one of their recommended dishes is entirely bland, despite being asked for my preference of mild, medium or hot (I selected medium). To top it off, no discount offered for the horrific lateness, and when my partner challenged they offered £5 off... 100% would not recommend. Won't be returning.

Seemed nice when we first arrived, very elegant inside and the air con was lovely. Got seated but not enough menus for a party of 12. Then the fiasco of ordering separately at the bar. Food started to arrive after roughly an hour, baring in mind we only had the table for 2 hours. Food came in dribs and drabs, no one was served a complete meal in one go, some had starters with side but no mains etc. Biggest complaint is that 3 meals were completely missed and 5 people were waiting for sides, meaning that food was going cold or half the party had finished before the others had even been served food. We complained more than once and had no action taken, no explanation or apology and had to firmly tell them that we wanted refunds for the food that had been left to go cold. Complimentary drinks were finally given after we asked for them, but only to those missing a meal, and not the whole party who all had their experience ruined. Food was nice but by the time we got it no one enjoyed it. Ultimately I wouldn’t recommend this place, especially for a large party. My brother-in-laws birthday was completely ruined and we felt we had been overcharged for half arsed service and quality.

I visited this place with my family on the occasion of our anniversary and we had an amazing time with sheepscar bar and grill. The food was beyond delicious although the waiting time was longer than we expected but it made sense taking in consideration of how busy the place was. The staff was very friendly and offered best quality services. We were served by litika, beyond the rush hour and food delay she was a professional who made sure to inform us and give updates on our food. The bar serves a huge range of pints and cocktails. Overall our experience at sheepscar was amazing. I would definitely recommend everyone to visit.

Firstly the food is really tasty here. Really authentic and flavoursome. Hence why in the past I have gone back repeatedly. However I will not be coming back again. This is the second time I have placed an order with them and had to cancel due to their lack of organisation and communication. The first time I went for my dad’s birthday where my whole family waited 2hrs for food and it still did not arrive. We booked a large table in advance so weren’t even walk ins. We had two children were under 4 and ordered their food as soon as we got there and asked for them to rush it. We asked on many occasions where their was food was and kept getting told it was coming. Eventually we had to leave as my diabetic dad had not eaten and had a hypoglycaemic drop. Front of house were not communicating with the kitchen and therefore we left without food at 9pm. When asked to see management they refused to come out until we were leaving and made a fuss. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe it was a particularly busy day. Today we ordered takeaway, when we rung in they said they couldn’t take orders over £15 over the phone and to use Deliveroo. So I did. When placing the order it was taking a while to confirm but said the order would be delivered at 7.30pm after not arriving I called them again and the same person said to me they shut down Deliveroo orders two hours ago. Baring in mind I spoke to someone only an hour ago. So my order got cancelled, and I had to order my whole family’s meal from somewhere else. It’s disappointing and frustrating that this has happened twice now. I won’t be going back and will not be recommending this place which is a shame as the food is good.

Was up in Leeds so thought I had to check this place out, having heard about it so much. I wasn't expecting much, being from the Midlands where we have it so good with these kinds of places, but I was very pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. Usually the Chicken, especially the wings, are the weakest part of a mixi. They're like a basic filler while you look forward to the other stuff. but they were incredible on this one. Ambience was decent, lots of nice decor, the usual tan leather & floral displays, screens showing sport, & lots of murals of desi legends. Only thing with this place is, it's high-end restaurant prices. Paying over a tenner for just a beer and a soft drink up north is incredible. The food, as good as it is, is priced as if you're in London. Yet despite all of this, you still have to go up to the bar yourself to order anything anyway, even another drink during your meal, so it's certainly not a service charge.

Wow , The pizzas at Sheepscar are absolutely amazing , the flavours in the pizza sauce is unreal a garlic herb tomato base with a nice cover of cheese with a crispy crust doesn’t get any better than that 😍😍

Great atmosphere and very busy. Seems a very popular place. We decided to try it out after a recommendation. Although it was very busy and initially the wait time for food was going to be around 45 minutes, the food came a lot quicker. It was well worth waiting for! Absolutely delicious. The lady that served us was so helpful and accommodating. Amazing value too especially with what you get and the calibre of the food. We will definitely be back!

Never had a bad experience at Sheepscar. Food is always 10/10, with varying flavours per dish (quite rare for other South Asian restaurants!) Very well priced, service is great and plenty of on/off-site parking.
