This place was for many years a Leeds institution. However, it's changed a lot. It no longer has a licence and part of it is called Dukes selling doughnuts to kids. It's curries are still very good.

Just been there yesterday the food was amazing and the service was really really good the man always smiling asked us few times if we need anything i have need been in anywhere like that the staff was so respectful and as a gift he gave us two pieces of cake we recommend %100

Really good service, the food was really nice, the starters were nice and soft will come back again. Gave us free donuts. Friendly staff workers gave free chocolate to my kids

We first visited Raja's a few years ago when we wanted a non halal Indian restaurant. We weren't disappointed and until Covid reached our shores, we were frequent visitors. Gorgeous food, cosy and friendly atmosphere and attentive staff. Unfortunately, when we enquired about it still being non halal last night, we were disappointed to hear it wasn't the case now. So disappointed as it was the only one in Leeds.

I was at the restaurant frequently and also order food because of the taste and the portion size. The restaurant owners are amazing. I called them (for a take away order) to mention about the spice, that’s when they recognised me and gave me a complimentary donut.

Good price per portion but average food taste wise

Went there 2 days ago although it wasn't a planned visit there as we were just looking for a food place for dinner on that road and stopped there and found that place really good in all aspects. A small restaurant but very attractive environment, awesome food taste, attentive and friendly staff. Ordered 1 mix platter, one mix seafood curry and drink (they gave one free icecream scoop to my 1.5 year baby). Will definitely go there again

Had an incredible experience, the place has completely changed under the new management since last year. We happened to go in by chance and were really surprised by the great service. The team was very pleasant and brought ice cream for the little one. They were attentive and the taste was very delicious. We ordered the Tawa for two and thinking it may have a small portion ordered one dish extra too but the tawa was quite large.

Update:- Sept 21 - has gone downhill massively. Has been taken over and the ingredients they use are poor. So disappointed as this USED to be the best curry in Leeds. Sorry to say…AVOID

Clean restaurant pleasant staff. Great service, good tasty food and the price is right. I will definitely be going back 4and 1/2 stars for me.

Rajas is a quaint little Indian halal restaurant located in the Roundhey area of Leeds city. It serves traditional cousines and desserts incorporating the Dukes brand who specialise in doughnuts.

Very very rude man on the phone and then refused to deliver my food completely. He completely refused to listen and kept speaking over me. Made various excuses that the pizza was late including blaming the rain. Talked down to me like I was dirt underneath his foot. I had used this place for years. Will never go back.

Overall good food, good service. We took the Tawa for 2 and chicken tikka. The seekh kebabs felt a bit rubbery and wasn't fresh, chicken wings didn't feel freshly cooked. But the curry, daal and naan was tasty and fresh. Total came to 19.95, value for money. I like their connection with Dukes brining some much needed freshness to their decor and also choice of desserts.

Absolutely AWFUL after changing hands back in May 2020. Long standing customers treated like dirt. Will NEVER eat here again - much prefer Sheepscar Grill, cheaper and better quality.

I ordered a medium chicken Karahi and a chicken tikka. It arrived warm/cold not hot, it was watery and tasteless. We eneded up with a 20 refund. If you do order and you don't like it, ring them straight away and save the contents. This was not explained to me when I called so it all eneded up in my big bin which I wasn't prepared to go and sift through to prove we only ate less than a third .

Leaflet through the door and decided to give it a chance. Waited 2 hours. Multiple calls and promises that food was en route. Restaurant cancelled order, 'Food must have been left at the wrong house.' Terrible service. No food.

Recommended to a friend ...for the Ramadam special offer after listening to description on fever FM ..thy were very disappointed.

I order iftaari pack and they sent me couple of days old food in the pack. Pakoras was very hard.... I would no recommend 😕 😐

Wasn't really impressed. Onion bahji was fried so long that it was cremated. Curry was fine. Nan bread...Couldn't help feel disappointed. It felt shop bought from Costco...The shape was so perfect couldn't help think it wasn't fresh and certainly not fluffy

Tandoori chicken cooked to perfection & the keema naan is 1 of the best I've had in a long time. Menu could've been bigger, but that really IS me being pedantic, coz I couldn't quite find any faults. I refrained from reviewing places within the area I live because of bias, however, I tell it how it is & am always honest. It would be unfair to leave some of Leeds best takeaways out of the equation.. So expect more reviews from the Leeds, Harehills area. ENJOY. 😉

The food was really late but it was saved by been really nice. Hot and perfect. Lovely long stripsnof donna meet, fresh chips. Pizza had no peppers just like we asked the burger where tasty as always.

The chicken pizza smelled and wasn't enjoyable to eat at all. I thought I'll get some normal pieces of chicken but they were mixed in some strange spices with lots of black pepper, to possibly cover the smell. The curly fries were ok and samosas were small but ok- they weren't prepared by them, just fried from frozen so anywhere you order them, they'll be ok. Very disappointed 😞

We ordered 2 pizzas and they arrived on time. Upon tasting the pizzas, there was something not right, an off taste. We phoned the takeaway and eventually got to speak to a manager who arranged for one other pizza to be sent out to us. The new pizza was delivered in the usual time and tasted fine.

They delayed the order for 3:10 instead of 3:00 but then came and other 20minutes later aswell ended up getting my food at 3:30. Calling the takeaway they said 5minutes and cut me off when I was speaking, but they took 15.

Driver rang to say he couldn’t find me (I don’t live in the middle of nowhere So don’t know what the problem was). Had to was 5 minutes to meet him by this time the food was cold and inedible so binned it all. Won’t be ordering again

Total nightmare and joke of a service. Food was late. They just lied about why it was late. Made me wait in rain on my lunch hour. Told them it’s late abs y lunch is ending. Said 5 minutes. Came 30 minutes later. Food was Luke warm. They stopped answering my calls. I’m now going into work late off lunch so will probably get told off by my manger. No time to eat food now! DO NOT BOTHER IF YOU WANT TO EAT!

It was a busy Saturday late afternoon, so late is not an issue. The condiments we received in a small plastic container was extremly runny and diluted to the point it had no taste and consistency at all. Was very watery we binned it after trying them. Usually, all food is outstanding(we are a regular customer) - not sure what happend this time. But defo will order again! 👍

The owner helped with a party order, which was excellent quality food, reasonable price and the party goers enjoyed and also ended up taking a take away each, as we had so much food left!

8 time we ordered Pizza from here. Piping hot and delicious. My personal favorite is the half n half . Meat special half with either chicken tandoori or chicken piri piri for the other half . Very happy . Thank you

I tried them before and had some complaints. I ordered again to make my mind up about this place. It was horrible. The chicken was rubbery, oily and with not enough crumps. The doner kebab was horrible, so much unnecessary spices that made the taste so unpleasant I couldn't eat it. This is it I will not order from this place again, and neither should you.

the driver arrived late, pizza was already cold and chips soggy. Not only that the driver called to tell me he cannot find the flat and he is at the parking, i told that he needs to drive in at the far end parking he said yes. When i went out there was noone, i tried to call the number it was on voice mail. i then had to walk to the other parking which is at the entrance to our estate and far away. the driver sat inside asked me my address and then gave me my order. When mentioned why is he there when i advised the other parking he just said sorry, not very helpful though. He did not even bother looking for flat before calling my number. not good at all. never had such a bad experience with Rajas delivery.

Quite literally THE rudest delivery driver ive ever had the displeasure of encountering. SHOUTING at me down the phone that he's sat waiting for me...when he's pulled up to the wrong bit of the building. It'll be a long time before i order from here again unfortunately

Very happy with portion sizes, quality of the food and speed of arrival. Came bang on the time I ordered in advance for, polite delivery people. Overall great meal and experience.

We ordered lamb samosa, onion bajhi, chicken chaat and 2 pashwari naans (we had homemade curry at home)- it came to £13. The lamb samosa and onion bajhi was tasty to be fair, but it was £2 for one which I think is pretty expensive. The pashwari naans were the worst I have ever had in my life, they were like cardboard, so tasteless and hard. Now onto the chicken chaat, I honestly think they forgot to add any spices. Will not be returning here.

Came early but they only gave chips and a drink and all the chips had fallen into the bag also they forgot the pizza and when i tried contacting then they used vile language against me they started swearing constantly and as a customer we shall not take disrespect and have alerted the authorities about this and will personally go there and see if they want to say it to my face which i highly doubt

Very disappointing. Ordered at 6, got told I'll receive it by 655, didn't get it until nearly 8. Called the restaurant a few times, always been told that it was 5 minutes away. At least be honest. The food itself was all cold horrible food. The pizza top was smashed against the container, the chicken cold and the drinks hot. 20 quid for a very very disappointing meal.

I have ordered from this restaurant multiple times and will not do so again in the future. They have either sent me the wrong item or not brought it at all four times now. This lack of care is disgusting. I can not possible reccomend this restaurant to anyone.

We have eating here for over 30 years.We collected a take away this week that was nothing like the usual high quality we have relied on & trusted as regular customers.Even though the same faces greeted us & cooked the food, the dishes were tasteless, bland, gloopy & the meat was tough & hard to chew.Incredulous we returned the food only for it to be replaced with exactly the same again, only this time they forgot to replace the rice dishes!This meant a third trip to collect.Ultimately we had to throw it away as it was inedible.I requested Raja’s email address to let him know what had happened.He informed me that he had sold the restaurant in March.The recent inclusion of a ground floor toilet does not make up for the serious downgrade to the previous sensational experience this restaurant once provided.So disappointed that once again a great eatery changes hands to be destroyed.What a shame that the reputation created over years of consistent high standard can be so quickly rubbished in a few short months.£50 down the drain & disappointed beyond words.

Good food but I dont appreciate all the instructions to give feedback and to rush to come to the driver.. you offer a service, if people like it they will review, dont treat your customers like they owe you anything other than the price of the food

The box was filled with oil and the content was literally swimming in oil and dripping when taken out. There was oil all over the dining table. My hand my ankles were all covered in oil after I finished I had to shower again mid day. Chicken was tasty, chips was cold but alright. Burger was lovely. Delivery was 15 mins late.

Contacted the restaurant when food was 20mins late, person I spoke to said it'd be about 7 minutes more and then hung up. Food didn't arrive for another 25mins. Driver said that previous delivery car had broken down, but the person at the restaurant didn't seem aware of this, and food was mostly cold. Food tasted good on a re-heat.

Am late for work n the pizza 1 freaking pizza is late .. n its still not here ... called them n thy said it will be there in 5 min .. its 10min ...

The order was delivered in the estimated time but that was 45 mins which I thought was too long for where I live in relation to the restaurant. The pizza arrived lukewarm, there wasn’t enough tomato base which meant the pizza was bland and the dough was soggy! Very disappointing as when I ordered last time the pizza was delicious.

Food delivered 30 minutes later after receiving a cold order night before. I was made aware from restaurant they will throw in extras when I re-order but not received anything besides a delivery that’s 30 minutes late. Will never order again and do not recommend

Ordered a Chicken Parmesan thinking it would be the Teesside delicacy. I was very wrong. Delivery guy also refused to drop the food outside of my dorm when I am self-isolating. The chips are not so good either. £10 for what is basically inedible chicken and a can of Pepsi Max.
