The Shaken Cow in St Albans

Went there yesterday as I haven’t been there in ages after the lockdowns. I looked on the new menu to see what’s new. Me and my partner had Bubble fruit tea mango and Oreo shake, unfortunately the bubble tea was way too sweet and bit expensive. By honest Shaken cow shouldn’t really do Bubble tea or boba as it doesn’t work out well. Milk shakes, ice creams and other drinks is fine.

went in for a reese’s shake, so thick and lovely. Amazing service by lauren and louise. Will definitely be returning.

Visited as a treat on a day out. The two girls behind the counter ignored us for two minutes when we came in while they finished their conversation. No hello. No thank you when we paid. Just rude. Won’t be going back.

Shop was empty. Girl with dark, short hair and fake lashes really loud banging on about her personal life whilst I waited to be served. Girl who was taller, pony tail with lighter brown hair was nice and chirpy however didnt jump to serve me when she could see me standing there whilst colleague was chatting away. Ordered a lindor hot chocolate with everything on it. Was luke warm and not very nice to drink. They half of it away.

The staff seemed to complain constantly about work matters in fairly loud voices, making our visit less than relaxing. The actual shakes were, in my opinion, overpriced.

Loved the Oreo Shake. Massive menu took so long to decide what to order. Service good and quick. Will be back

The service was terrible the lady who eventually served us was on her phone and ignored us for a good 5-10 minutes she then gave me the wrong change by which I mean euros and the milkshake made me ill.

The milkshakes are amazing and I like the choice. I go there often with friends 😋😋😋. It’s always busy and it deserves to be !!!

This is such a perfect place for someone with a sweet tooth like myself. Such a wide range of options and toppings. It's great for everyone! The staff are always so friendly, I've been served by Alex a few times and she's always so helpful and kind!

Love coming here, have come since I was 15! Always impressed by how fast the orders are made and by how friendly all the staff are - especially Alex who always has a smile on her face - definitely a hidden gem of St. Albans!

Kids loved their shakes and their dad and I enjoyed helping to finish them 😂 Great location for people watching from the front windows. Will def visit again!

My kids love going to this little Milkshake place...they love the milkshakes and there is an amazing choice. Its one of the best things about St Albans. I highly recommend.

A tiny little property which packs a punch of flavour, gorgeous shake combinations; rich, creamy milkshakes, not too thick - a real treat.

Ice cream, milk and any chocolate or sweets you want. Little more to be said. It’s a great place to visit if you’re in the need for a cool dairy chocolate fix.

I buy my milkshakes from the shaken cow in Harpenden i never have the same one twice.. the service from the girls is always Fantastic and the shakes are great.. if ever in harpenden this place is worth a try but can be very busy on a saturday can be abit pricey but depends i guess on what you have

The Shaken Cow is a family favourite of ours, the kids and I have been treating ourselves here for years. It's a real feeling of decadence as the shakes are rich, thick and flavoursome. If 'flavoursome' sounds like an odd way to describe a shake - that's because the choice of flavours are almost limitless, as you get to choose what chocolate or confectionery you want blended with your ice cream & milk and you get to choose what sort of topping etc to have as well. We tend to like the Galaxy shake, though we all of our slightly different take on it but have been known to experiment with different flavours and my daughter likes the hot chocolate drinks, mainly in winter of course. Using the loyalty card is great way to make a saving if you're a regular user, which we are so I'd recommend this as well. Really can't recommend these shakes highly enough, they are a real favourite of ours. I can honestly say these are the best shakes I've had in many a year and they remind me of the shakes you used to get as a child. High praise indeed! Apart from the shakes, we like the selection of non-standard sweets and imported confectionery as well as the American style soft drinks, or sodas as they might say over there. The root beer is our favourite. It's a nice touch and range of flavours complement the range of shakes. It's a real treat at the Shaken Cow and we've never left disappointed.

Visited The Shaken Cow in St Albans. We had a strawberry milkshake (with choice of syrup or fresh strawberries – we opted for the fresh strawberries) and a fruit smoothly. Milkshakes are made with vanilla ice-creams and the smoothies with frozen yogurt – as a result the drinks were very cold. I thought the fresh strawberry milkshake was excellent and the smoothies very good. A small, fruit, milkshake was £3.25 and £4.95 for the smoothie.

We were on our way to the coffee shop next door when we passed the shaken cow.The color of the shop front and the posters caught our eye. It is basically a place where you customize your own milkshake by choosing what you like in it and on it. It is almost like chucking lots of goodies in a blender, add milk, ice cream and blend, then add a topping or two. Well, you know it is going to be bad for you and will contain lots of calories. But it does taste very good. I suppose it is no different to having a frozen drink from Starbucks with 20 spoonfuls of sugar (so they say).

Visited The Shaken Cow and ordered one of their chocolate milkshakes with cream and sprinkles. It tasted great and didn't take long to order. Staff were friendly. I would recommend visiting :).

We were tempted in by a sign advertising different kinds of hot chocolate made with real chocolate and topped with cream, marshmallows and flake. The Lindt hot chocolate was actually delicious, but this shop also sells a range of ice creams and cold drinks such a smoothies. There is a huge variety of toppings to put on the drinks and ice creams. You can sit at the front of the shop and there is also more chairs in a back room.
