Harry's in St Albans

Sadly, wanted to order and said it’s cash only. First of all in this country 74% uses cards due to convenience. What’s with these businesses that use cash only? Seems sketchy don’t u think? I get the business has been for years but hey law is the law. Pay your taxes bois

Had a lamb shish kebab & was excellent as far as the lamb was concerned. The lamb was tender without the usual gristle normally associated with lamb from other kebab outlets. I had this as a wrap which was the same price as the pitta bread version & there was a good balance of onions, red cabbage, etc with chili sauce. You could also ask for extra of the veg without extra cost so I'm giving this 5 stars as I couldn't fault it. On a final note, I've been told that this was the first kebab outlet in St Albans.

Respectful, Efficient, and Delicious! I've been a regular customer at Harry's since 2007. They have always shown me the utmost respect and delivered excellent service. In fact they memorized my orders! And when I had dietary issues they catered to my needs. Harry's make the tastiest food! I will happily be their customer for life! I highly recommend them!!! :)

If you're looking for the best quarter pounders & cheeseburgers in Town then look no further like for real they are by far the best you can really taste the grill on every bite and the size is just bang on and most of all what's kept me as a regular customer is the customer service which is great i wouldn't ever go anywhere else for my 1/4 pounders and you'll feel the same 🍔

We had the mix kebab and a chicken shish for delivery, plus chips and an ayran. It came to over £30, with the mix kebab costing £13.50 for not much meat at all, and what there was wasn't very special. Not impressed.

Didn't like... rice wasn't properly cooked and meat was not tender and bit hard to chew. I am not wasting my money on this again.

Their mega burger is big and nice, if you are like me looking for a big burger. The flavor is not the best but yeah value for money.Kind advice the staff could be a little bit more friendly. Cause behaving nicely would bring a lot of people back for a second time. But I hope all this helps

Absolutely awful - wrong order, rude staff and wet wrap! AVOID. They firstly got my order wrong and made me feel as if I was the person in the wrong (rule 101 of customers services not to do). I asked for a small donor wrap very clearly, and was given a large chicken wrap... When I questioned it, I was told "you definitely said a large chicken," even though I am without doubt of my actual order (and my partner recollects it clearly too). The staff pressed ahead and threw the blame on me, and to avoid further conflict I just paid for a large chicken wrap . Upon opening the wrap, I discovered it was soaked with red coloured water (assume, and rather hope, it was from the salad). All in all, my WORST ever customer service experience ever! It ruined my night.

Very reliably good takeaway kebabs and burgers, and reasonably priced. The team are friendly and will remember you when you return, which is always a good sign! My personal recommendation is Harry’s Burger. The cheesy chips are also well worth trying, if you’re into cheese. The only downside is the place is quite small, so can get a bit crowded at times.

Good quality meat and bread,salad etc Shame about the portions a tad stingy for what ya pay. Tasty 8.5/10 cause of portions very clean and nice fellas who own it.

This place has been a life saver for my colleagues and I after a long shift at work, open till late and even late at night the food is fresh! Wide range of food, onion rings are soooo tasty as well as their chips and burger sauce! The chicken shish wrap is huge and tasty, and now I’ve seen they sell large ones so can’t imagine the size of a large Prices slightly high but definitely worth it! Always so polite and kind, definitely a treat! And waaaaay better than H&H!!

This is a difficult one really. The take away shop itself is spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly and polite but this was the least tasty large chicken Shish kebab I have ever eaten. Small portion of salad and only a small pitta with no chilis included. The chilli sauce was absolutely awful - not chilli, not hot, no taste, just pungent!! Really awful. Another one of these places where they are clearly so scared about cooking chicken properly that they slice it so thinly that whilst cooked, it tastes and feels like rubber. At £7.30 this wasn’t overly priced but I certainly didn’t get my money’s worth because it really was awful. Just walked out and still hungry because the portion was so small. Not recommended at all.

Great all round menu but as veggies, we love the halloumi wrap with fresh salad (onion, pickled cabbage, tomato, lettuce and chilli peppers). There’s loads of other veggie options on the menu including mozzarella sticks, hummus, salads etc. Thanks guys!

Oh dear! After a Nando's and a few drinks at the Hog's Head (Blacksmith's Arms), a friend and I decided we'd turn our healthy-eating cheat day into an epic cheat day by having a Harry's on the way home. Whoops! But it's so bloody tasty! Much better than *cough* H&H!

I'm currently on a no carb diet and asked for lean chicken no pitta kebab. The quality of the chicken was exceptional. Still tender and moist but not an ounce of fat! Salad was crunchy fresh and the tomato's were clean and full of flavour! Will be back next week for sure!!!!!!! Thnaks guys at Harry's! You've never let me down!

25 years and still getting a kebab at Harry's

Harrys keebab shop is the best takeaway bar in st albans and surrounding area. Its a family run business, thats had the shop from day one. The menu is great and the food is fresh with quality ingredients. The seating area is very clean and tidy and the kitchen area is visibly clean and kept to a high standard. Harrys is a great place for keebabs , chips, burgers , shish and many other lovely dishes. I higly recommend Harrys.

This is the best keebab house in Stalbans. Its been here the longest and there is a good reason for it too. This keebab shop is clean , uses good quality fresh ingredients to make all of there great tasting dishes. The staff are super nice and have run this place since day one. All in all this is a great place and value for money. A real popular takeaway or eat in bar. I will highly recommend this place to anyone visiting St Albans, or lives here. Top of my list places for take out food.

Absolutely love the food in here.... I enjoy Turkish food a lot and have experienced other places but this is the best take away food ever.. The team are always welcoming and chatty.. I’ve tried the doner and chips with salad and enjoyed it so much that I’ve been there so many times.... And lastly it’s so clean...

I ordered a chicken shish and a small burger for my daughter. The chicken shish was lovely. I asked for chilli sauce on my chicken which was really nice. My daughter said the burger was lovely. I use to get a takeaway from Harry's all the time but for some reason I just stopped. I'm loving how modern it looks now and more seating if you want to eat in. Looks lovely and clean

A small shop selling some excellent takeaway food. One of the better kebab shops in a city mostly devoid of decent kebaberies. I like their food, it's good , honest, tasty takeaway.. They don't deliver and that's a shame, if they did they would be far and away above the local greaseries currently selling kebabs on deliveroo and just eat.

The location sure doesnt have an official car park but if you drive towards i think dominos and you turn right then theres a car park there. Its not far and the food is great. Its all fresh and made right in front of you. The customer service is quick. You can even call in earlier and pick it up as take away or have them make it for you while your on the way. LOVE ITTT

Been going here for 20 years now and again and I think they are fine kebabs ! I hadn't been for a while as live out of the centre now but was good to see the guys . Always friendly to me and never complained about the decent food at reasonable cost . St Albans institution is Harry's !

Lets face it, we've all been there. You've had a bit too much to drink and all you want to do is get a quick bite to eat (preferably with loads of chilli sauce and mayo) and then to wander home to bed. Harrys food is exactly what you need. I don't feel that guilty about getting food from here as i believe it is more than just a general kebab house. The staff are all family and have a great dry sense of humour. The food is fresh and served quickly. Cannot recommend enough.

I paid just under 5 quid for a chicken wrap, which consisted of a Tortilla, scrapes of lettuce and about 3 bits of chicken. It was also served by one of the most miserable & least endearing blokes I have ever met (one with the fringe).

My team have been going here for years and I had the chance to try it recently and it lived up to their reviews.
