I had booked this place to celebrate my wife’s birthday in advance and the entire experience has been just mind blowing. Not only is the staff very friendly but the entire atmosphere along with great food is icing on the cake. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who just wants to have a great time irrespective of if they want to plan a party or just want to eat out. Unlike other places where it becomes really difficult to customise your food if you have any allergies, this place can make ensure they can customise your order so that you don’t miss out on great food.

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch with a large family group. Knowing how difficult Sunday lunches are in a restaurant environment we were very happy with what was served. We will be back soon.

Called in on the off chance on Saturday afternoon, wasn’t sure if they were still serving, fortunately they were Service was very good, we had fish and chips, the fish was wonderful, nice and crispy and tasty, the chips were a bit dry and tasteless For sweet I have the apple and pear crumble which was lovely, the other half had the lemon tart which was a bit of a disappointment Overall the food was good, but not quite great Nice spot to stop off at

Nice village pub with a great garden. Good food served inside and out by friendly helpful staff. Good wine selection, and I think good ales, but the other beer/cider selection a little dull (but that is being picky).

Great food. Amazing . We ordered the lamb, Stuffed peppers with a side of chicken, Tsteak and the cod with crayfish. All were exceptional. Desert of the cheese board and the Tiramisu were equally as good as was the Chilean Chardonnay. Absolute great night / exceptional food

Fantastic food, friendly staff, great atmosphere

We had a meal here as we were staying nearby and after reading the reviews gave it a try. All the food we ordered was excellent. All very good quality and lovely flavours. For my main I had the lamb rump and it was excellent. So Nicely cooked. The sauces that went with it were perfect. The minted pea puree was perfectly balanced as the main didn't overpower anything. I was so impressed with this pub. The quality of the food was brilliant.

Exceptional Sunday Lunch . Variety of menu choice, quality of food and friendliness of serving staff were all a delight. Will look forward to visiting again.

We came for lunch on a weekday and the place was quite empty so very peaceful. It was sunny, the garden was very confortable so seat in. We had Burgers and with the triple cooked Chips and the sweet potatoes fries everything was excellent. I highly recomlend this place.

We popped in for the beer festival - a welcome return after a few years - good beer choice and excellent staff.

Excellent meal and great service. For my husband and I the bonus was they serve ‘Real Ales’ which was a bonus. Food was great and cooked perfectly. Good friendly staff who were attentive and did a great job of making us feel important.👏

I love wandering into a country pub on Sunday for good food, and this place is just right. It's cosy, clean, and friendly. My partner loves a roast dinner, whereas I am happy with a burger. This is not always an option on a Sunday, so I'm always super pleased to have the choice. I think the burger here is one of the best burgers in Oxford. If you're looking for a nice pub with great food and atmosphere and a lovely garden too, then look no further! Thanks very much!

Delicious food in an unexpected place, we are here with the camper at Durham Leys Farm. Very friendly staff with a good menu within walking distance. To be repeated.

Came back again after a fabulous Sunday meal, this time around for Curry Night. Indian myself the food was prepared authentically and served on a Thali which is a great idea. Service was also very prompt and great buzzing atmosphere when we went for dinner. Already waiting for our next visit. Well done Seven Stars Team

Friendly staff! Very tasty, well portioned Sunday Lunch cooked to perfection with crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside roast potatoes. Delivered hot even though restaurant was full and we were a party of 22. A family member also needed a gluten free meal and he was well catered for with his Sunday Roast.

Our first visit and we will definitely return! The food was delicious and the service and atmosphere was great.

We've eaten here as a big group (around 20) of adults and children twice in the last few months and both times it has been excellent. We have been looked after brilliantly - delicious food and a really warm welcome. We will be back!

We held our Christening reception at the Seven Stars and all we can say is thank you! Sunit who helped with the planning of the day was always happy to help us with any questions/ideas we had and nothing was an issue. They were very flexible with their menu choices and we are extremely grateful as the food was amazing. Namit who helped with the running of the event on the day was amazing. Always willing to help and ensured the day went to plan. We cannot thank you both enough. It was an honour to hold the event at such a beautiful, well looked after pub. We returned Sunday for a roast and there isn’t much more to say than wow. Thank you to all of the staff who also helped on the day, you’re a credit to the pub.

Pretty pub, was here for a christening reception, they provided some sandwiches and lovely home made samosas and chicken tikka! But other than this we didn't try the food. So cannot comment on service or atmosphere as we were with a christening party.

Excellent customer service from all staff and management. Good was tasty and mains were good size. Lamb croquette starter was just 1, but flavoursome.

So lucky to have this pub on our doorstep. As well as doing the best Sunday lunch in the area, the special events are a real treat. Went to the Holi festival lunch yesterday - delicious Indian buffet, great music and such a fun atmosphere.

An absolute delight today to visit, we hadn't booked but were accommodated with a smile and a warm welcome. The Sunday lunch was beautifully cooked and presented, we opted for the sirloin of beef which just melted in the mouth, the veg was a colourful selection and the roast potatoes were crunchy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. We opted for additional roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese( because we are greedy) which was gorgeous. Portion size was really good, 4 different veg, in addition to the potatoes, homemade Yorkshire and a great gravy. This was followed by apple & pear crumble and custard which was delicious and just the right size of portion. Most definitely will be back, the environment was perfect for the country location and the greeting of a wood fire on arrival set the scene perfectly. I would recommend booking, we got very lucky today and will ensure we book next time! Thank you to all the wonderful team for a fabulous lunch experience!

You can tell just how excellent the management is at the Seven Stars because of the energy and enthusiasm expressed by their staff. We held a private function here last weekend, and they bent over backwards the entire time to support it going off without a hitch. Food was impeccable, some of the tastiest home-style curry around. Marsh Baldon are lucky to have this place on their doorstep!

After visiting The Seven Stars for the first-time last month for a Sunday roast I can highly recommend! I enquired to book a Birthday Sunday roast for a large group at relatively short notice and Namit (the restaurant manager) instantly put my mind at ease. He was super prompt to respond to any questions and really made my husband’s Birthday dinner a success! As a party of 25 (adults and kids) our food was all brought out quickly and together. The food was absolutely delicious and many of us agreed it was one of the best roasts we had had in a long time! We had a fantastic experience thanks to a beautiful pub, delicious food and brilliant staff. Thank you SO much Namit, we can’t wait to come again!

Lovely village pub, great food, drink and service! We've eaten at The Seven Stars on numerous occasions and would highly recommend it. Namit and his team are great hosts, going out of their way to make sure that everyone has an enjoyable visit. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is warm and relaxing! The pub is wheelchair accessible and if you contact Namit and his team ahead of your visit, they'll do their best to ensure everything goes smoothly. It's worth noting that the pub is very popular, especially at weekends, so book early!

The Sunday roast is one of the best in the area and I’ve done my fair share of investigating! Deserts were good and staff are friendly and welcoming too.

Regularly visit the Seven Stars for food and drinks. It's a lovely country pub with friendly staff. Namit provides the best service. The food is amazing - I recently had the best pie, and the roast dinners are amazing!

This pub restaurant is a relaxing and enjoyable experience. After your meal, you can walk around the large green/common in this beautiful village.

Came here no reservation on a Saturday afternoon. And all I can say was bloody good job. Had the fish and chips and it was perfect, haddock nice crispy batter, home made mayo and tartar. Simple food done Realy well and really proper. Service was quick and friendly. Had to wait no longer than 10 mins for the food. I've been working as a chef for 7 years now and I always judge a place on the simple things done well and genuinely one of the best fish and chips I've ever had. Clearly you are doing somthing right so keep it up and look forward to coming back. Even the coffee was perfect and I'm a bit Pretentious when it comes to my coffee.

Visited for a meal on a cold January Thursday evening and were immediately warmed and welcomed by the staff and open fire! The food was exceptionally good and great value with the January discount. Would recommend!

Went today for my mums special birthday. There were 30 of us including 5 children & 3 infants. We were seated in The Barn on 2 tables of 15. It was relaxing and very comfortable. The food was superb, excellent choice of menu for a Sunday. The staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble, they were so friendly and obliging. Thank you Namit & team for such a lovely afternoon. It was very special and memorable.

Came here with my wife and parents a few weeks ago. The pub is in a beautiful location and worth driving to for a walk. The food was delicious. I had slow cooked beef and it was amazing. Everyone enjoyed their food and we will definitely be back again soon. Highly recommended.

Went for Sunday lunch and the food was excellent. Had read some reviews saying portion sizes were a little small which I was prepared for, but they weren’t at all. Draft beer, Sunday roast, desert and coffee all extremely good quality and great friendly service. Will definitely return.

Went for sunday lunch, very good experience staff very friendly and helpful. Meal was of good standard I had beef which was tender and plenty of vegetables.

Delicious lunch , Pan fried Bass fillet was perfectly cooked with a very tasty crayfish creamy sauce.

Pity the fire wasn't lit, apart from that I'd highly recommend especially as it is dog friendly, even in the restaurant area, top marks from my 2 boys for that. Special menu had slow cooked beef blade, very nice.

We went last Sunday as a last minute plan. We did not have any reservations.. But luckily the manager accommodated us. The place is buzzing and quite popular. I lives upto it's name. We had an excellent Sunday lunch. The food was well presented and extremely tasty. The service was friendly yet very efficient. The clientele is a mixture of young and old . All in all a great place to spend a Sunday afternoon.I would definitely recommend the Seven Stars pub for an unparalleled gourmet destination.

We booked for sunday lunch after visiting arboretum. Recommend the Crispy duck salad starter, we had delicious roast beef and chicken, they served plenty of veg and york puds. Apple and rhubarb crumble and custard very comforting 😊Service very friendly and quick, atmosphere relaxed. Will be going back.

Booked a table for 17 here for my parents’ 30th anniversary meal over the bank holiday weekend. Namit was brilliant in comms before the event and let me decorate a table in the barn on the day. The pre-order was served efficiently and the team took good care of us. Really impressed and will definitely come back.

Excellent Service and Excellent Food! We had the Gluten Free Fish and Chips which were very satisfying. Also the best mushy peas I’ve ever had.

A great pub in a lovely village. I’ve been twice since the new management took over and the food is simply amazing. This time I had one of the specials: chicken supreme and it was honestly one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. Definitely good value for money.

Of course it’s not cheap, but it’s worth every penny for such good cooking and presentation. We didn’t have dessert, too full from the very generous mains.Excellent coffee too.
